In Pakistan, water storage bodies are often the most plentiful and active habitats of immature stages of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are blood feeding type of vectors that bite a particular host and suck blood. As a result, these vectors transmit disease causing agents to the host system. The most common mosquitoes borne viral diseases in Pakistan are Chicken gunya, Dengue fever, west nile and Zika fever. These diseases are common in low and poor living standard areas. Death rate increases due to more attack of these fatal diseases. Mosquitoes breeding sites are water bodies, discarded tyres, water tanks, bottles, cups and ant traps. Various environmental agents i.e. temperature fluctuations and water resources, now increase the rate of mosquitos in most areas of Pakistan. There is a lack of basic medical education and knowledge about its pervention techniques in mosquito affected areas in Pakistan. The purpose of this review is to highlight the current status of emerging mosquito borne viral diseases in Pakistan, i.e. Chicken gunya, Dengue fever, est nile and Zika fever. There is more need of prevention strategies and understanding about factors involved in spreading of mosquito borne diseases.

The basic aim of this paper is to present the existing conditions and problems of water resources management in Greece. Water demand has increased tremendously over the past 30 years. Despite adequate precipitation, water imbalance is often experienced, due to temporal and regional variations of the precipitation, the increased water demand during the summer months and the difficulty of transporting water due to the mountainous terrain. Integration of reclaimed wastewater originating from the wastewater treatment plant effluents into the water resources management is proposed. This plan exhibits the potential for reducing the pollution loads entering sea or inland waters, while at the same time providing water for irrigation.

Understanding the response of Himalayan-Karakoram (HK) rivers to climate change is crucial for ~1 billion people who partly depend on these water resources. Policymakers tasked with the sustainable water resources management for agriculture, hydropower, drinking, sanitation, and hazards require an assessment of rivers’ current status and potential future changes. This review demonstrates that glacier and snow melt are important components of HK rivers, with greater hydrological importance for the Indus than Ganges and Brahmaputra basins. Total river runoff, glacier melt, and seasonality of flow are projected to increase until the 2050s, with some exceptions and large uncertainties. Critical knowledge gaps severely affect modeled contributions of different runoff components, future runoff volumes and seasonality. Therefore, comprehensive field- and remote sensing-based methods and models are needed.

The water supply and distribution system of the Nabataean city of Petra in southwestern Jordan has been explored and mapped. Analysis of the system indicates exploitation of all possible water resources using management techniques that balance reservoir storage capacity with continuous flow pipeline systems to maintain a constant water supply throughout the year. Nabataean Petra was founded c. 300 bc; urban development progressed with later Roman administration of the city starting at ad 106; Byzantine occupation continued to the seventh century ad. Trade networks that extended throughout much of the ancient Near East and Mediterranean world intersected at Petra, and brought not only strategic and economic prominence, but also impetus to develop water resources fully to sustain demands of increasing population and city elaboration. City development was influenced by artistic, cultural and technological borrowings from Seleucid, Syro-Phoenician, Greek and Roman civilizations; the Petra water-distribution system included hydraulic technologies derived from these contacts as well as original technical innovations that helped to maintain the high living standard of city dwellers throughout the centuries. Analysis of the Nabataean water network indicates design criteria that promote stable flows and use sequential particle-settling basins to purify potable water supplies. They also promote open channel flows within piping at critical (maximum) flow rates that avoid leakage associated with pressurized systems and have the design function to match the spring supply rate to the maximum carrying capacity of a pipeline. This demonstration of engineering capability indicates a high degree of cognitive skill in solving complex hydraulic problems to ensure a stable water supply and may be posited as a key reason behind the many centuries of flourishing city life.

<em>Dengue is the leading cause of viral death worldwide. The vector Aedes aegypti mosquito is also responsible for Zika and Chincungunha transmission, another very compromising viral diseases. As the understanding of the vector life cycle and its habitat is important for preventing and fighting against these diseases, we propose to use a mathematic concept, graphos, and a problem-based situation (the removal of potential breeding sites for mosquitoes in the player city) to design a computational game that may help on spreading information and to stimulate a players proactive virtual and real behavior. Thus this paper describes the design and construction of an educational computer game called "Graphos against mosquitos," based on graphos, a mathematics theoretical concept. We designed the Graphos game using as the main elements: a child, twelve neighborhood blocks, mosquitoes, streets and containers where mosquitoes lay eggs (tires, cans, bottles, plants with water deposits). In the game, the player (Avatar) is the main element that should "walk in" the streets (edges) of the city, removing the potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes in each block (vertices). As this game is based on the mathematics theoretical concept graphos using two dimensions, the city has two distinct vertices that are the beginning and end of it, which discriminate the beginning and end of the game. The player should remove all containers of each street, avoiding mosquitoes growth and passing only one time for each of them. As containers are removed, the player gains points and is prevented to return to the previous street. In this game the removal of all containers that pose risk of becoming mosquito breeding sites, without coming back to the previous street but only forward, is translatable into " graphos language". When finishing the game properly, it opens a final screen where the player is awarded with a medal. On this screen, the player can write his/her name, being invited to act as a "health worker" no longer in virtual form, but in the real life. Through teaching by using computational material ruled by mathematical concepts such as graphos, we hope to stimulate and contribute for fighting and controlling the vector of these serious viral diseases.</em>

To determine whether the Western Chorus Frog has declined in western Ottawa, we conducted auditory surveys at historical locations as well as at various other wetlands. Western Chorus Frogs were detected at 12 of 18 historical locations. Wetland habitat remained at all historical locations where the species was not detected. There was no difference in the year of historical records for sites where Western Chorus Frogs were (median 1987.5) and were not (median 1987.5) detected. In the present study, Western Chorus Frogs were also detected at 30 locations where they had not been previously reported. Historical sites where Western Chorus Frogs were not detected were not significantly farther away from known Western Chorus Frog sites (median distance: 2.2 km) than historical sites where Western Chorus Frogs were detected (median distance: 1.4 km). Land use variables for historical sites where Western Chorus Frogs were and were not detected did not vary significantly at any spatial scale from 0.5 to 2.0 km. Western Chorus Frogs were detected in areas with up to 50% forest cover and up to 86% agricultural cover at the 1.0-km radius. The lack of historical data makes it difficult to assess the current status of the Western Chorus Frog in western Ottawa. The species may have declined, remained approximately the same (by shifting to different breeding sites), or even increased its distribution (by colonizing additional sites).

Judging from the current status of water resources all over the world, the analysis of our country the need for reuse of rainwater and its practical significance at this stage. The using of rain water from domestic and foreign , and the actual situation of the construction of rainwater collection, processing, using of systems, rain water reuse in the case of water quality standards implementation rainwater recycling of resources. The water resources are shortage is another important practical problem ,the rainwater reuse is our country's new way to solve water resources pool. However, the disposing process of rain still has some practical problems, which will be necessary to further our study and resolve.
