In order to enable online learning to continue developing when the COVID-19 pandemic passes, this study aimed to identify the critical factors that affected the use of e-learning by university students during the pandemic. These critical factors will help to increase the efficiency of future development and deployment of online learning systems. Through a literature review, this study employed the technology acceptance model, social support, and task–technology fit as the theoretical basis to establish the framework of the online learning environment with regards to the technology acceptance model in the context of emergency management. A questionnaire survey was administered to students in universities that had implemented online teaching during the pandemic, and 552 valid responses were collected. The survey explored the factors affecting the willingness of higher education institution students to continue using online learning, and the following conclusions were drawn. (1) The easier an online learning platform was to navigate, the better it was perceived by the students, and thus the students were more willing to use it. (2) Ease of use and usefulness were associated with the teachers’ choice of platform and their ability to achieve a satisfactory fit between the course design and platform navigation, which thereby affected the students’ learning outcomes and attitude towards use. (3) The positive attitude of teachers towards teaching increased the students’ perceived ease of use of online learning. (4) During the pandemic, family support—a major support for teachers in online teaching—enhanced teachers’ attitudes towards, and willingness to provide, online teaching. A high level of support showed that the parents urged the students to learn and complete online learning tasks as instructed by the teachers, implying that family support could affect the students’ habits towards, adaptation to, and identification of online learning. The study results provide insights into the factors affecting the willingness of teachers and students to continue using e-learning platforms.

In the situation of a pandemic novel COVID-19 throughout the world forced all changes in the order of activities that exist in society, one of which is in teaching and learning activities. As a solution to learning activities at the moment everything must be implemented online, both students and instructors are forced to adapt to the online learning system . This sudden change often causes problems related to learner's behavior. This study tries to observe student behavior towards learning activities that are forced to be done from home with the principle approach of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The research respondents numbered 93 people and the elearning system tested was the use of learning media with whatsapp, LMS Moodle, zoom meeting and its combination. The results of this study can provide recommendations in distance learning in the future.

Online learning has become a model, learning strategies, and the preferred channel in education around the world because it is not restricted by time and place. The development of online learning in supporting the success of health education programs for early detection of cervical cancer is the right solution to improve health workers knowledge. To measure user acceptance of the online learning applications, the study used Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. Data collected from questionnaires then analyzed by calculating the frequency (proportion) of the total value, the interpretation of a score by looking for index% and interval. The final result of the calculation shows that all respondents agreed and strongly agreed with all four factors measured. The conclusions are the users believe that the use of learning online applications can reduce the task effort, improve job performance, give positive idea to use the technology, and consciously and expressed desire to run the online learning process in the future.

Abstract: This exploratory study aimed to describe the current teachers’ acceptance and use of online media for primary school in rural areas. The study used interview and survey as data collection methods which were divided into two focus questions. This study adopted six indicators of Technology Acceptance Model by Davis to measure the participants’ experience on using online learning media. The participants consisted of 30 teachers from four private and government schools in Indonesia. The data collection methods for this study included a survey and open-ended face-to-face interviews in the sense of triangulation for validity and reliability. This study explored the current condition qualitatively, classified each indicator based on interview data reduction and analyzed descriptively. The study found the teachers’ accept using online media in integrated learning but they cannot use it because of the lack facilities and the schools’ rules of using online media. The external variables, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and attitudes of the teacher showed the positive acceptance for online learning implementation. Unfortunately, they did not find support to enhance their lack of behavioural intention use and actual use during the teaching practice. The study proposes the development of a supportive environment and facilities to support factual use of online learning in rural areas. This study recognises that online learning was perceived as important to maximize potential of teaching in rural areas. It also highlighted that teachers in rural areas have behavioural intention to implement online learning although in limitation. This study presented significant gap between teachers’ technology acceptance and usage in rural area to be highlighted toward the affordable online learning in the future Keywords: elementary school; teachers’ acceptance; teachers’ use; online media; technology Abstrak: Penelitian eksploratif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerimaan dan penggunaan media online oleh guru saat ini untuk sekolah dasar di pedesaan.

Mobile learning (M-learning) provides a new learning channel in which learners can access content and just in time information as required irrespective of the time and location. Even though M-learning is fast evolving in many regions of the world, research addressing the driving factors of M-learning adoption is in short supply. This article focuses on the driving factors in adoption of M-learning and the learner’s perceptions and willingness towards M-learning adoption. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has been shown to be a valid and powerful model in mobile and other learning technologies research. Based on Technology Acceptance Model theory, this paper analyzes the influencing factors on M-learning adoption and measure the acceptance of M-learning in Oman. The data collected from 806 participants in 17 different Omani higher education institutions using a survey questionnaire. Some factors of perceived innovative characteristics, such as ease of use, usefulness, enjoyment, suitability, social, and economic were found to have more influence on learners’ adoption of M-learning which help to facilitate and promote future empirical research. This effort is part of funded research project that investigate the development, adoption, and dissemination of M-learning in Oman.
