Background: The problem of washing hands with soap in elementary school students is still high. Elementary schools in Kuala Pesisir Subdistrict, Nagan Raya Regency have not implemented hand washing with soap according to the 6-step principle. Efforts made by the Health Office to make this program successful are by increasing student compliance in hand washing activities through socialization and direct practice. Objective: This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the success of the pilar community-based total sanitation program for washing hands with soap at elementary school levels class V and VI in Kuala Pesisir District, Nagan Raya Regency.Method: Design This research is a cross sectional study. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a sample size of 240 students consisting of grades V and VI. Statistical analysis using Chi-square test and Binary Logistics Regression. Results: The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p=0.002), attitude (p=0.007), behavior p=(0.000), hand washing facilities (p=0.000), teacher support (p=0.036), and availability of water (p=0.036). p=0.000) with a total community-based sanitation program pillar washing hands with soap. Based on multivariate analysis, the dominant variables associated with the pillars of hand washing with soap are behavior (OR=0.207; 95%CI: 0.082-0.524), water availability (OR=0.173; 95%CI: 0.050-0.595) and facilities. wash hands (OR=0.153; 95%CI: 0.047-0.501).Conclusion: It was concluded that positive student behavior 0.207 times was associated with the success of the hand washing program with soap compared to negative student behavior.

The demand for character development in many of the Western World’s public schools is increasing. Yet there are substantive steps being taken beyond manipulating student behavior in rigidly constructed contexts. Unfortunately manipulating behavior only develops self-interest as the measure of all good and might makes right the legitimation of authority. Yet as any anthropologist can explain it is role-modeling family and village elders that decides which of two instincts will dominate human development: self-interest or cooperation (Tomasello, 2019). As Aristotle famously observed, it makes no small difference what habits humans develop rather, it makes all the difference. But to be truly conducive to moral development those habits must reflect autonomous conviction to develop organizational well-being over the pandemonium self-interest leads towards. The Moral Self-assessment Protocol discussed herein creates the conditions for teacher and other leaders to track their own moral development to role model for those growing into organization membership, in schools, cities, states, countries and businesses.

Childhood trauma is as American as apple pie. The statistics are sobering. In 2018, more than 673,000 children were victims of abuse or neglect. This chapter will explore adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in detail, relating how these past experiences could affect current student behavior. A case study will be used to illustrate the issues that teachers face in their classrooms. Research shows that trauma affects the brain and subsequently how people act and/or react. Emotional regulation, behavioral control, and cognitive processes that are affected by trauma will be explored. Further, this chapter will raise the issues of racial disproportionality in identification and labeling of behavioral disorders and recommendations for special education among students who may have been exposed to trauma. Lastly, recommendations for best practice will be outlined to support educators in the field.

This chapter identifies and discusses the learning outcomes to be achieved because of hands-on lab exercises using ethical hacking. It discusses the ethical implications associated with including such labs in the information security curriculum. The discussion is informed by analyses of log data on student malicious activities, and the results of student surveys. The examination of student behavior after acquiring hands-on offensive skills shows that there is potentially a high risk of using these skills in an inappropriate and illegal manner. While acknowledging the risk and the ethical problems associated with teaching ethical hacking, it strongly recommends that information security curricula should opt for a teaching approach that offers students both offensive hands-on lab exercises coupled with ethical practices related to the techniques. The authors propose steps to offer a comprehensive information security program while at the same time minimizing the risk of inappropriate student behavior and reducing institutional liability in that respect and increasing the ethical views and practices related to ethical hacking.

The use of digital technologies in the classroom continues to rise as more students take lecture notes on laptops rather than pen and paper. In addition, digital technologies can greatly influence student behavior. Indeed, these devices can lead students to engage in unrelated online activities during a lecture. Obviously, these activities can have negative consequences on student learning. This chapter aims to provide an understanding to how digital distraction influences learners' information processing. First, this chapter will present how students process instructional material and explore effective strategies for high-quality learning. Second, this chapter will investigate how digital distraction disturbs information processing based on the cognitive load theory and contiguity principle. Third, this chapter will focus on the effects of digital distraction on student notes and learning. Fourth, this chapter will offer recommendations for curbing digital distraction.

Procrastination in learning physics by students who are seen from the point of view of their failure in working on, completing, and collecting answers to physics which is the background of this research. The first objective of this study is to reconstruct the pattern of learning difficulties in understanding the process of student behavior in order to minimize academic procrastination. Second, to find out the percentage of implementation of the Triple-C model in minimizing physics academic procrastination. Third, knowing the percentage of completeness in learning physics with the Triple-C model based on Livezopadizdo. The Triple-C model with the following phases Controversial Group, Exploring, Communication Deep Dialog, and Clarification Concept. The data analysis technique uses the Grounded Theory method. The conclusions obtained from this study are: first, the construction of patterns of learning difficulties in understanding the process of student behavior in order to minimize academic procrastination in the pandemic era with teaching and learning activities in online and offline conditions. Second, the average percentage of the implementation of the Triple-C model in minimizing physics academic procrastination is 92.2%. Third, the percentage of completeness in learning physics in the application of Livezopadizdo accompanied by the Triple-C cycle model is 100%.

Corona virus (SARS-cov-2), is a disease called Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). The behavior of the community towards the prevention of Covid-19 is still low, which is thought to play a role in the increase in cases from time to time. The role of the community is urgently needed to suppress the transmission of Covid-19. The general public, in this case the D-three students of Midwifery and Nursing at the Medan Ministry of Health Poltekkes, need to disseminate information on the transmission of Covid-19. Surveys on student behavior can play a role in socializing the prevention of Covid-19 transmission. This study aims to determine the description of student behavior towards the prevention of Covid-19 transmission in the family setting. The research method with a survey, identifies the characteristics of the D-three Nursing and Midwifery students and their behavior (knowledge, attitudes and actions) towards the prevention of Covid-19 in the family setting. Data collection from March to May 2020. The population is D-three students in Midwifery and Nursing with a total of 595 respondents. The research procedure was carried out by collecting data through google forms such as student characteristics (gender, age, ethnicity, place of residence, level/class), behavior (knowledge, attitudes and actions) regarding overcoming Covid-19 prevention efforts in the family setting. The results of the study: 97.6% of the information regarding the prevention of Covid-19 transmission, the general source of information was through social media, 85.8%, 68.1% of respondents with good knowledge, 79.4% strongly agree, do prevention 68.9%, and in the family setting the attitude of the family strongly agrees 69.6%. There needs to be further learning for students about infectious disease pandemics in the community, especially the prevention of Covid-19 transmission in the family and community settings.
