Slope ecological protection technology is a form of slope protection with high ornamental and good economic value. At present, it is widely used in highways and urban streets’ slope protection works. However, its use is not very common in mountain tourism highways; hence, it is necessary to implement strategies for mountain tourism highway slope ecological protection design to promote excellent development.

ABSTRACTSoil erosion can pose a serious problem to environmental quality and sustainable development. On the Tibetan Plateau, soil erosion is one of the main challenges to regional ecological security. Our analysis investigates soil erosion and evaluates its economic value in alpine steppe, alpine meadow, alpine desert steppe and forest ecosystems on the Tibetan Plateau. Analysis was carried out from 1984 to 2013. The results show that the annual average potential soil erosion, practical soil erosion and soil conservation calculated by the Revised University Soil Loss Equation model were 2.19×109ta–1, 2.16×109ta–1 and 2.72×107ta–1, respectively. The economic value of retaining soil nutrients, reducing the formation of wasteland and the economic benefit of reducing sediment deposition were 1.98×108RMBa–1, 2.55×1012RMBa–1 and 7.44×104RMBa–1, respectively. From comparing different ecosystems, we found that the forest ecosystem had the greatest soil retention and economic values. We also found that the potential and actual soil erosion values were extremely high on the Tibetan Plateau. The study highlights that state and local policymakers must give greater emphasis to ecological protection in the future.

The ecological value, cultural value, economic value and industrial value of the county space, where a variety of human activities and natural ecological processes are carried out, act as the key elements considered in county spatial planning. However, there is a lack of carrying space for integrating these values in the actual Chinese county construction. In this article, the construction of a county greenway network is based on multiple needs, such as ecological protection, characteristic landscape, leisure and recreation. The ecological, cultural and economic values of resources are taken as the basis of identifying a greenway network. We establish the gravitation-resistance model to measure network flow based on the attraction and resistance between resources. In particular, by means of network flow analysis and the geographic information system (GIS), the resistance and gravity are assigned to the resources and landscapes, respectively. The attraction between elements is then measured using the gravitation-resistance model. The distribution of resources and the trend of integration are analyzed by the combination of the centrality of resources and the ratio of supply to demand. Based on the analysis results of network flow, the paper puts forward a strategy for developing a county greenway network, and improves the scientific evaluation of the spatial resource. It provides a new perspective for the construction of a county greenway network.

Abstract Slope protection has always been a major concern in highway construction and later operation. Ecological protection technology is widely used in highway slope, which takes into account functions of protection, ecology, and landscape. Ecological protection technology is mainly to improve the stability of the slope through the combination of supporting structure and plants, and vegetation restoration can reduce the negative impact of highway construction. In this paper, the latest research progress of ecological protection technology was first reviewed to identify the main construction process and types, which revealed the protection mechanism of ecological protection technology. The comprehensive benefits of ecological slope protection technology were analysed from the aspects of air, water circulation, landscape and biodiversity. It has found that ecological protection technology of highway slope mainly forms the atmosphere-plant-soil system. Ecological protection technology of highway slope improved the stability of the slope through the supporting structure and the anchoring effect of plant roots. And the restoration of the surface vegetation on the slope promoted the photosynthesis and transpiration of plants and purifies the air quality along the highway. Ecological protection technology of highway slope could quickly restore the ecological balance, overall landscape and biodiversity of the region.

It is an important issue for sustainable economic development to give consideration to both project development and environmental protection. At present, we must confront and seriously deal with the problems of rational utilization of resources, protection of the environment and beautification of the environment in engineering construction. This paper describes a variety of slope plant protection technology, which can not only play a good role in slope protection, but also improve the engineering environment and reflect the beauty of natural environment, so as to provide reference for slope ecological protection.
