The article presents the results of theoretical synthesis the problem of continuity labor education of pre-schools and primary school aged children in a historical retrospective of 1919-1934. Investigation of this scientific problem will contribute the modern reforming processes in pre-school and primary school education. Nowadays we need to find ways to organize life-oriented study for pre-school and primary school aged children. We sure that historical and educational heritage will help to understand our opportunities and risks. Research was made on proven methodology concepts of modern Ukrainian historical and pedagogical science. Using the articles of educators published during 1919-1934, we were able to dwell on the main pedagogical ideas of the problem. System and narrative principles helps us to highlight the key ideas of continuity labor education of pre-school and primary school aged children. Author highlights the views of educational theorists and practice-men of definite period on labor education as a basis of children’s education that time. The period of 1919-1934 years, in the history of Ukrainian education, is the period of rising soviet system of education. But we understand this period like the period of transforming pre-school and primary education. This process was carried out with lots of creative ideas in labor education of pre-school and primary school aged children. The changes of development the basic ideas about the upbringing children of pre-school and primary school age in a context of practice-oriented labor education are characterized in the article.

The article deals with the problem of education of patriotic qualities in children of primary school age. Primary school age is a sensitive period for the development of spiritual and moral qualities of a person. To monitor the level of patriotism development, we studied motivational, intellectual, sensual, volitional criterias.. Based on the results obtained, we have developed a program of work with primary school age children on the patriotic education. To develop attitudes towards patriotic values, we used the means of folklore, which have ample opportunities to familiarize children with their culture origins. The developed program “Russia is our home!” is aimed at instilling in children love and respect for their native land, familiarizing students with the study of the heroic history of the Fatherland, local history, search and research activities, national traditions, culture study and promotion.

Introduction. The attachment is viewed as the base for assessment of individual adaptation variation throughout life. In the capacity of the core indicator of the person’s unison with external environment, the psychological well-being combines the different aspects of child life. The assessment of the psychological well-being is based on three indicators: evidence of life satisfaction; life quality assessment; difficulty levels of external and internal spectrum.The aim of the current publication is to investigate the influence of features of attachment to mother on psychological well-being of primary school-age children.Methodology and research methods. The methodological research framework was based on the main provisions of the attachment theory (J. Bowlby, M. Ainsworth). “Mother-Child Attachment Style Measure Questionnaire” method (Pupyreva, 2007) was employed to identify attachment features. The measure of psychological well-being was carried out by means of “Student’s Life Satisfaction Scale” (Toporkova, Slobodskaya et al., 2015), “Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory” and “Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire” (Goodman, Slobodskaya, Knyazev, 2005) methods. 178 primary school-age children (85 boys and 93 girls) aged 10 to 11 (mean age = 10.2) participated in the research.Results. The analysis of the results showed that secure attachment among children reduces life satisfaction, facilitates the behavioural disorders and psycho-emotional reactions, impacts on limitation of social contacts and life quality. Using the regression analysis, it was revealed that the quality of the correlation between attachment indicators and psychological well-being vary depending on degree of attachment security. It is demonstrated that maternal responsiveness and attentiveness is an absolute predictor of life satisfaction, physical and social well-being and life quality in the primary school-age period, irrespective of the child’s attachment types. The absence of mother-child closeness is the predictor for disruption of physical, emotional and social functioning, low level of life quality in insecure attachment in primary school-aged children.Scientific novelty. The specificity of psychological well-being of primary school-aged children with different types of attachment to their mother is determined. It is shown for the first time that characteristics of attachment are the predictors of life satisfaction, quality of life, and mental health of primary school-aged children.Practical significance. By identifying different regression models for the description of psychological well-being on the basis of child-mother attachment indicators, it may be possible to provide interventions to improve psychological well-being based on the characteristics of attachment.

The present study examined age differences in time-based prospective memory (TBPM) in primary school age children and tested the role of self-initiated memory retrieval and strategic time monitoring (TM) as possible developmental mechanisms. Fifty-four children were recruited from local primary schools (27 younger children, mean age = 7.2 ± 0.55 years, and 27 older children, mean age = 9.61 ± 0.71 years). The task was a driving game scenario in which children had to drive a vehicle (ongoing task) and to remember to refuel before the vehicle runs out of gas (TBPM task, i.e., the fuel gauge served as child-appropriate time equivalent). Fuel gauge was either displayed permanently (low level of self-initiation) or could only be viewed on demand by hitting a button (high level of self-initiation). The results revealed age-dependent TBPM differences with better performance in older children. In contrast, level of self-initiated memory retrieval did not affect TBPM performance. However, strategies of TM influenced TBPM, as more frequent time checking was related to better performance. Patterns of time checking frequency differed according to children’s age and course of the game, suggesting difficulties in maintaining initial strategic TM in younger children. Taken together, the study revealed ongoing development of TBPM across primary school age. Observed age differences seemed to be associated with the ability to maintain strategic monitoring.

Цель. Анализ влияния характера зрения (ХЗ)на показатели сложной сенсомоторной реакции на движущийся объект (РДО)у детей младшего школьного возраста с содружественным сходящимся косоглазием (ССК). Материал и методы. Было обследовано 33 ребенка (66 глаз), в возрасте 6–11 лет, с ССК на фонеHm4,6±2,5Д. Сформированы 3 группы, в зависимости от ХЗ, на фоне полной коррекции. 1 группа – 12 детей (24 глаза) с монокулярным ХЗ, угол косоглазия 5,9±4,0°, 2 группа –12 детей (24 глаза)с одновременным ХЗ, угол косоглазия 3,9±3,6°,3 группа – дети с бинокулярным ХЗ – 9 пациентов(18 глаз), угол косоглазия 0,9±0,8°. Всем пациентам проводилось стандартное страбологическое обследование. РДО была исследована с помощью аппаратно-программного комплекса «НС-Психотест»(ООО «Нейрософт). Результаты. Среднее время РДО в 1 группе –29,1±9,5мс, во 2 группе – 16,6±8,4мс, в 3 группе –-12,4±4,1мс (р <0,05). Положительное значение среднегруппового показателя РДО детей 1 и 2 группы является следствием преобладания у большинства обследуемых процессов торможения в ЦНС. Отрицательное значение среднегруппового показателя детей 3 группы является свидетельством преобладающей реакции НС в виде дисбаланса течения нервных процессов в сторону возбуждения в ответ на предложенную нагрузку. Выводы. Отсутствие у детей 1 и 2 группы бинокулярного зрения приводит не только к нарушению аккомодационно-конвергентных взаимосвязей в зрительном анализаторе, но и является причиной изменения зрительной экстраполяции, что приводит к снижению подвижности нервных процессов и преобладанию тормозных процессов в ЦНС(положительное значение средне группового показателя времени РДО детей 1 группы – 29,1±9,5 мс,2 группы – 16,6±8,4 мс).

Pedagogical environment, dedicated to the development of the creative potential of the children by means of the decorative and applied arts lessons is examined.

On the basis of a consideration of the processes of reading and comprehending and in the light of the UK Government's literacy drive, it is argued that Religious Education ought to be better equipped to present the Bible to children of primary school age.
