This article presents the methodology for determining the real values of kinematic indices which characterizes the mechanical separation of a mixture of solid particles. Mechanical separation of a mixture of solid-solid on surface provided with holes is the most common method of separation. To optimize equipment that performs this operation, both theoretical and practical characteristics are determined. Kinematic indices are part of the theoretical characteristics, helping to identify behavior of solid particles on a surface flat swing. Starting from an experimental batch, real values of the kinematic indices corresponding to up, down and sideways movement on the sieve were determined for the following types of real particles: grain, large grain beans, small grain beans and soybeans.

A cyclone dust collector (called herein a cyclone) is applied in many industrial fields, for example, powder technology, combustion chambers, various chemical plants, etc. Until now, there are many types of cyclones for the purpose of separation of solid particles; however generally-speaking, the following types of the cyclone are typical: returned flow or reversed flow type, axial flow type, and rotary flow cyclone with tangential injection of the second gas flow to the cyclone body. In order to understand the performance of the cyclone and the problems of turbulent rotational flow and the separation mechanism for solid particles, this review article describes the flow pattern and distribution of the tangential velocity for pure gas flow and for dust laden gas flow, which are most important factors for estimating the pressure drop and the separation characteristics of the solid particles, and also the mechanical separation process in the centrifugal flow field. This review article includes 162 references.

In this paper, we use homogenization to derive a set of macro-scale poro-elastic equations for soils composed of rigid solid particles, air-filled pore space and a poro-elastic mixed phase. We consider the derivation in the limit of large deformation and show that by solving representative problems on the micro-scale we can parametrize the macro-scale equations. To validate the homogenization procedure, we compare the predictions of the homogenized equations with those of the full equations for a range of different geometries and material properties. We show that the results differ by ≲ 2 % for all cases considered. The success of the homogenization scheme means that it can be used to determine the macro-scale poro-elastic properties of soils from the underlying structure. Hence, it will prove a valuable tool in both characterization and optimization.

Objective: To establish a common method to detect the content of chitosan oligosaccharide. Methods: Chitosan oligosaccharide was hydrolyzed completely by concentrated hydrochloric acid, and the solution was regulated into neutral with NaOH. Then, determined the absorbance in 525nm, and substituted into the regression equation to determine the results. Results: The results showed there was a good linear relationship when the concentration of chitosan oligosaccharide ranged from 0.02 mg/mL to 0.12 mg/mL, r2 = 0.999. The average recovery of chitosan oligosaccharide samples was 99.25%. Conclusion: The method is sensitive, accurate and simple. It is applied to determine of the content of chitosan oligosaccharide.

Experimental methods for the determination of certain statistical properties of turbulent conveyance and diffusion of solid particles in a gaseous state are presented. Methods include a tracer-diffusion technique for the determination of gas-phase turbulent motion and a photo-optical technique for the determination of motion of solid particles. Results are discussed and compared with previous analytical results.

Worked out methodology of determination of the tensely-deformed state of elements of mobile heat storage of capacity type, that works in the real terms of temperature and power stress on allows to estimate influence of potential energy on resilient deformation that influences on reliability of construction and to give recommendations on planning of tank (capacities) of accumulator. For determination possibly of possible tension of construction of accumulator kinematics maximum terms were certain. As a tank of accumulator shows a soba the difficult geometrical system, the mathematical model of calculation of coefficient of polynomial and decision of task of minimization of functional was improved for determination of tension for Міzеs taking into account the real geometry of equipment. Conducted quantitative estimation of the tensely-deformed state of the union coupling, corps and bottom of thermal accumulator and the resource of work of these constructions is appraised. Thus admissible tension folds 225 МРа.

This paper presents results of research concerning determination of the GPS reference station coordinates located on the grounds of an EPDE airport in Deblin. The study uses a mathematical model of the PPP measurement technique in order to determine the coordinates of the reference station using the real GPS code-phase observations. The computations of the coordinates of the GPS reference station were carried out in numerical applications CSRS-PPP, APPS and GAPS. In this research was found that the accuracy of finding solutions to the XYZ geocentric coordinates of the reference station REF1 between solutions CSRS-PPP, APPS and GAPS ranges from 0.01m to 0.13m. In addition, the accuracy of determining the XYZ geocentric coordinates from the PPP method related to the GPS differential solution ranged from 0.01m to 0.11m.
