Social media has transformed and impacted on communication, learning, research and education in general. The study aimed to examine the impact of social media on scholastic achievement among higher secondary students The investigator adopted survey method to study the impact of social media on scholastic achievement among higher secondary students. For this study a sample of 300 higher secondary students from five Govt and Private schools which are situated in and around Udumalpet town of Tirupur district in Tamil Nadu were selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that there is no significant impact of social media on scholastic achievement among selected higher secondary students.

Adjustment problem has impacted on student activities, behavior, health and education in general. The study aimed to examine the adjustment problem and its impact on achievement in mathematics among secondary school students. The investigator adopted survey method to study the impact of adjustment problem and its impact on achievement in mathematics among secondary school students. For this study a sample of 300 secondary school students from four Govt and Private schools which are situated in Dindigul district in Tamil Nadu were selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that there is significant mean score difference in adjustment problems and its impact on academic achievement in mathematics among secondary school students.

Emotional intelligence is a type of intelligence that involves the ability to monitor, understand one’s own and others emotions, to discriminate among them and to use the information to guide one’s thinking and actions. It is the capacity to process emotional information accurately and efficiently taking into account information relevant to the recognition, construction and regulation of emotion in oneself and others. The study aimed to examine the Emotional intelligence and it impact on academic achievement in zoology among higher secondary students. The investigator adopted survey method to study the Emotional intelligence and it impact on academic achievement in zoology among higher secondary students. For this study a sample of 300 higher secondary students from five Govt and Private schools which are situated in and around Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu were selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that is inferred that there is a difference in the level of emotional intelligence and achievement in zoology among higher secondary students.

Classroom climate refers to the prevailing mood, attitudes, standards, and tone that teachers and students feel when they are in the classroom. A negative classroom climate can feel hostile, chaotic, and out of control. A positive classroom climate feels safe, respectful, welcoming, and supportive of student learning. The study aimed to examine the class room climate in relation to academic achievement among students at higher secondary levels. The investigator adopted survey method to study the class room climate in relation to academic achievement among students at higher secondary levels. For this study a sample of 300 higher secondary students from five Govt and Private schools which are situated in and around Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu were selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that there is no significant relationship between class room climate and academic achievement among selected students at higher secondary levels.

Even though reading comprehension provides significant educational implications at present, it is seen that there is a decreasing trend in the general reading level of younger generation. The study aimed to examine the Reading comprehension in relation to academic achievement in English among students at higher secondary levels. The investigator adopted survey method to study the reading comprehension in relation to academic achievement in English among students at higher secondary levels. For this study a sample of 300 higher secondary students from five Govt and Private schools which are situated in and around Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu were selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that there is a significant relationship between reading comprehension and academic achievement in English among selected students at higher secondary levels.

Environmental awareness is to understand the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection. Promoting environmental awareness is an easy way to become an environmental steward and participate in creating a brighter future for our children. The study aimed to examine the environmental awareness among secondary school students. The investigator adopted survey method to study the environmental awareness among secondary school students. For this study a sample of 300 secondary students from six Govt and Private schools which are situated in and around Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu were selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that there is no significant environmental awareness among secondary school students.


This empirical study aims to explore the relationship between brand engagement and social media marketing among the students of higher education institutions in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. This research study adopts primary survey method with the help of structured questionnaire collected from 388 students those who uses social media networking sites. The result indicates that Integration, E-WoM, Social Media Advertisement, Social Media Interaction and Brand Attitude are the major factors determining the brand engagement among students. The cluster classification and discriminant functions shows that two groups are significantly form namely, low brand engagement groups and high brand engagement groups in their order of dominance. To conclude, it is necessary to create interaction between the customer and brand and consumer to consumer to identify the impact of communication on brand equity.

The study aimed to identify the relationship between social intelligence and academic achievement of higher secondary students. The investigator adopted survey method to study the social intelligence between students from selected government, private and aided school. For this study a sample of 300 school students from eight various schools which are situated in Palakkad district selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings revealed that there is no significant relationship between social intelligence and academic achievement.  This study shows that students do not find healthy environment in schools for developing their social intelligence.  The schools fail to provide a proper environment to develop better relationship, positive behavior, social skills positive attitudes and good mental health in students.


The aim of this study was to find out the impact of perceived organizational support and psychological capital on organizational commitment among university’s employees. The target population for this study was the employees of the Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture Multan, Pakistan (MNSUAM). The study was based on a correlational research design, and total of 128 employees were sampled through a simple random sampling technique. Survey method was used for data collection. The instruments used for data collection included the Perceived Organizational Support Scale (POSS) Psychological Capital Questionnaire and Organizational Commitment Questionnaire The data was collected from 128 employees analyzed through Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of this study revealed a significant correlation between dependent and independent variables. The regression analysis indicated significant impact of perceived organizational support on organizational commitment. Further, it was also indicated a significant impact of psychological capital on organizational commitment among university employees. No significant gender differences were found in terms of perceived organizational support and psychological capital and organizational commitment. However, the results indicated a difference in Job status in terms of perceived organizational support. The findings of this study suggest a significant role of study variables which would be helpful to conduct future studies in the area of public management, psychology, and more particularly, organizational psychology. Moreover, this study is also useful for designing an encouraging and supportive organizational environment for employees.

Social media is a convenient network of communication for people nowadays. This study is an attempt to examine the application and usefulness of social media activities in academics. The main objective of the study is to find out the level of social media activities of the higher secondary students concerning gender, class, locality of the school, and types of school. The sample size for the study comprised 707 students. The investigator used the social media activities scale prepared and validated by D.Johnraj David and Dr.P.Muthupandi. A Simple random sampling technique was used to collect the sample from various schools. Data was analysed through mean, standard deviation, and “t” tests. The findings of the study indicate that (i) male students have significantly higher use of social media activities than female students (ii)students studying in XII standard have significantly higher use of social media activities than students studying in XI standard students (iii) urban locality school students have significantly higher use of social media activities than rural locality school students(iv) students studying in aided schools have significantly higher use of social media activities than students in unaided schools.

Virtual reality (VR) is a technology which allows a user to interact with a computer-simulated imaginary environment. Users can interact with a virtual environment through the keyboard and mouse or special devices. Virtual reality can be defined as an upcoming technology that makes users feel in a Virtual Environment (VE) by using computer hardware and software. VR provides a different way to see and experience information, one that is dynamic and immediate. This paper explains the different models of VR devices in the world. The aim of the research is to identify the level of awareness of virtual technology in the B.Ed college student-teachers in the Tamil Nadu State of India. A descriptive survey method to adopt and a total of 350 first year student-teachers from Seven B.Ed Colleges in and around Salem district of Tamil Nadu were selected by using simple random sampling technique. An awareness of virtual technology (AVT) tool with 0.89 reliability and known content validity was used. The calculated ‘t' value among student-teachers with respect to gender; mobile in the home; to having PC in the home; and net course already passed significantly differ at 0.05 level could be noticed as rejected these hypotheses. Whereas locality and type of college of education are accepted the hypothesis. Postgraduate qualified student teachers had better awareness than undergraduate qualified student-teachers. The author recommends the students may be encouraged to use the network in their home.
