Abstract One of the most significant changes in the field of education in this information age is the paradigm shift from teacher-centered to learner-centered education. Along with this paradigm shift, understanding of students’ e-learning adoption behavior among various countries is urgently needed. Despite being one of the many countries that are still at the early stages in implementing e-learning, Palestine is a country that has recently seen an expansion in the number of students and the quality of education, which has involved high investment in e-learning. Hence, studies in this area of research interest have yet to be made known within the field of education. This study attempted to address the disparity within the literature for an individual country, Palestine, on the significant influences towards adopting e-learning. A model that investigates the effects of quality features, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness on the intentions and satisfaction of the learners towards the effects of e-learning is proposed in this study. This model encompassed the constructs and variables embedded in TAM and ISSM along with instructor quality. The outcomes of the model, such as actual use and the moderating effect of technical support towards e-learning in Palestine, were investigated. The study proposed that the quality of the course, instructor, service and system as well as perceived usefulness determined the satisfaction among students in use e-learning.

Kelima konstruk tersebut adalah kemudahan pengguna persepsi (perceived ease of use / PEOU), kegunaan persepsi (perceived  usefulness / PU), kualitas interaksi layanan  (Service Interaction Quality of Website/ Web-SQ), kualitas informasi (Information Quality of Website/ Web-IQ), dan minat perilaku menggunakan teknologi (behavioral intention to use / BIUS).

In response, to little research focused on how Jordanians perceive and respond to m-commerce and the main factors that govern its adoption and use, this article proposes a conceptual model that extends the technology acceptance model (TAM) with important factors related to consumers and companies like perceived trust, perceived security, subjective norms and service quality. The proposed model was validated and then tested utilizing a sample of 200 students. Results indicate that a perceived ease of use, a perceived usefulness and service quality are the major drivers of m-commerce adoption among Jordanian users. In contrast perceived trust, perceived security, and subjective norms are not significant toward the adoption process. A detailed analysis and results follows this article.

BACKGROUND: Knowledge is a source of competitive and strategic resource for many small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Securing knowledge assets through secured knowledge management systems (KMS) is a critical concern among SMEs. Due to the socio-technical nature of KMS, the security quality of KMS is an influential factor in KMS adoption by SMEs. OBJECTIVE: This study examines the effects of the security quality of KMS and the task-technology fit on KMS adoption among SMEs in Ghana. It further investigates whether or not the security quality of KMS affects the ease of use of KMS among SMEs. METHODS: Using a structured questionnaire, data were gathered from 281 IT professionals from 67 SMEs in Ghana. We used the technology acceptance model (TAM) to find out how security quality and task-technology fit (TTF) affect users’ acceptance of KMS. To facilitate the data collection process and to strictly focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, we excluded enterprises having 100 or more employees. The analyses used for this study focused on the key constructs and they included correlation, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. RESULTS: The study found that both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness influence users’ behavioral intention to accept KMS. Perceived ease of use has a positive relationship with perceived usefulness. Also, the security quality of KMS was found to affect both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. However, the effect of the relationship between the security quality of KMS and perceived ease of use is higher when moderated by TTF. CONCLUSIONS: The security quality of KMS is fundamental to strengthening knowledge as a source of competitive advantage for most enterprises. It is important for managers to recognize security quality as an opportunity rather than a threat to advance and sustain their competitiveness as well as ensuring knowledge-sharing success.

The main purposes of this study are to investigate citizen adoption of e-government services in Jordan and to explore factors affecting the level of adoption of e-government services. Importantly, this study aims to develop a conceptual framework that is based on previous literature of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in order to examine the relationships between certain factors (government trustworthiness, service quality and citizen satisfaction) and citizen adoption of e-government services. A self-administered questionnaire was used to capture data from 356 Jordanian citizens across the country randomly. The findings indicate that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, citizen satisfaction and trustworthiness are significant predictors of the Jordanian intention to use an e-government service. The results also showed that the service quality dimensions: responsiveness, reliability, and empathy have significant impacts on the citizen satisfaction. The study has made significant contributions to the body of knowledge at academic and practical levels as an important exploratory study that was conducted in the context of Jordan, a developing country with genuine need for more research works on e-government issues. In addition, this study provides some valuable insights into the performance and adoption of e-government in Jordan that could help government agencies to improve the effectiveness of their services.

Due to recent technological developments in banking, the use of e-banking is becoming increasingly widespread. This study explored the effect of e-service quality on actual use of e-banking services and explained it through the Technology Acceptance Model. A survey was conducted in Pakistan and 493 questionnaires were collected from e-banking users and the data was analyzed using AMOS 20 and SPSS 20. The results of the study indicate that e-service quality positively affects perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and intention to use e-banking and perceived usefulness positively affects attitude towards using e-banking and behavioral intentions to use e-banking. Perceived ease of use affects attitudes towards e-banking and attitudes positively affect behavioral intentions to use e-banking and behavioral intentions further positively affect actual use of e-banking. The sequential mediation of attitude and intention has been confirmed between e-service quality and actual use of e-banking. This study has significance for the managers of banking industry and will enable them to influence the attitude of customers in favor of their services and also help them devise strategies to improve their profitability.
