<p>The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of school based management in proving the quality of teachers In State Senior High School No.4 OKU. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The informants as sources in this study were the principal. Deputy principal, teachers, administrative staff and guardian of students. In collecting the data the researcher used were observation, interview and documentation techniques. Based on the research result it can be concluded that First, the principal in State Senior High School No.4 OKU is capable of implementing school based management well. Second, there is an increase in teacher quality as seen from teacher completence. Third, school principals is able to improve teacher quality through planned and gradual programs. Fourth, the principal is able to improve the quality of the school.</p>

Purpose of this study to determine how the facilities and infrastructure for softball learning in Senior High School Jepara Regency. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach, with the subject of this research is the Senior High School teachers in Jepara district. The collecting data using interview, observation and documentation methods. The data analysis using methods that are carried out continuously with data reduction, data presentation and make a conclusions. The results showed that (1) From 9 State Senior High Schools in Jepara Regency had good softball facilities and infrastructure, because there were several schools that did not have the facilities. (2) The main inhibiting factor in the procurement of softball facilities is the price of equipment which is expensive and in large quantities. (3) Softball learning in the school has not run optimally, due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure. (4) The teacher is innovative enough in learning to modify the tools and how to play. The conclusion is that the price of softball equipment is very expensive and the amount of equipment is not small, so the implementation of softball learning in the schools has not been carried out properly, because of the lack of softball equipment and also requires a large field. It is hoped that schools whose facilities and infrastructure for softball learning are still inadequate should be available to immediately organize softball facilities and infrastructure while still considering the level of need, so the quality of learning outcomes for sports and health, softball material can run well and can also lift branches Softball in Jepara Regency has become a popular sport not only among students but also among the local community.

This study aims to determine the understanding of teachers and students about school-based management in the State Junior High School 8 Palangka Raya. The study involved 56 teachers and 248 students as research samples. The technique of collecting data in this study is by spreading the questionnaire, interviews, and documenting the necessary data. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that teachers and students at State Junior High School 8 Palangka Raya has had an understanding of school-based management which is proven by the answer of the questionnaire. Teacher understanding is in good category with a percentage yield of 71.63% and student understanding is in category enough with a percentage yield of 59.87%. In the future State Junior High School 8 Palangka Raya to make more efforts to improve the quality of teachers and students through workshops, trainings, and education seminars on school-based management, so that teachers and students better understand the understanding and implementation of school-based management, so that it is created a sense of having each other in school to improve the quality of education.

<p class="Abstract">The paper aims at analyzing teachers’ poor professionalism of writing a scientific paper at Muhammadiyah Senior High School in Central Java. It studies on the phenomena of teachers’ weaknesses, comprehension, efforts and constraints on writing a scientific paper. The study belongs to qualitative research by applying a descriptive approach in examining the problem. The data are got with an in-depth interview, observation, and document analysis. The data sources are teachers, headmaster, a chief of High and Preliminary Education Assembly, and educational experts. Data validation is conducted by methods and sources triangulation. The data analysis applies the interactive model.The research result shows that most teachers have a limited comprehension of scientific paper concepts, skill on conducting classroom action research and writing a scientific paper. Also, they also have some constraints such as lack of writing motivation, school infrastructure, and internet connection access. In eliminating those problems, firstly Muhammadiyah senior high school (SMA/MA/SMK) teachers of Sukoharjo district have done some activities to develop their professional competence especially in the field of writing a scientific paper. In supporting their efforts, it needs a concrete step of stakeholder to simplify of all regarding with learning administrative activities, facilities adequacy motivation, the initiative of Assembly of Elementary and Middle Education, and others sponsorship, as well as the guidance of university. </p>

One of the educational problems that our nation is currently facing is the issue of the quality of education. Various attempts have been made to improve the quality of national education, including through various training and improvement of teacher competencies, procurement of books and learning tools, improvement of educational facilities and infrastructure, and improving the quality of school management. Leadership is one of the factors that determine the successful implementation of SBM. School Based Management gives flexibility to schools to manage their potential by involving all elements of stakeholders to achieve improvements in the quality of the school. Because schools have very broad authority, the presence of a leader figure is very important. An understanding of the nature of leadership. In implementing SBM, principals need to have strong, participatory, and democratic abilities. This research uses a qualitative approach in descriptive form. The use of descriptive methods in this study with the aim to describe an activity of implementing the leadership of the school principal in implementing school-based management which first analyzes the implementation process. The implementation of School Based Management (SBM) at Al-Masthuriyah Sukabumi High School is participatory. This management gives authority from the foundation to the school, and then the school delegates to each teacher and employee. All teachers and employees feel involved starting from planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs. The principle of decentralization considers that the problems that arise in schools will be adjusted as well as possible if the solution is left to the party closest to the existence of the problem. In resolving the problem of education in schools, the most knowledgeable about the problem are the residents of the school itself, especially teachers, staff, school principals and parents of students. The application of participatory management improves the quality and education services so that Al-Masthuriyah High School can compete and produce quality graduates both academically and non-academically. SBM will succeed well if school members have the initiative in carrying out their work and the initiative of each individual is appreciated. What happened at Al-Masthuriyah High School was the lack of school community initiative due to lack of ownership of the school.

This study aims: (a) to investigate the principal's planning process in implementing school-based management at Senior High School of Dwi Warna Medan, b) to investigate the principal's implementation strategy in implementing school-based management in Dwi  Warna Medan High School, and (c) to know the form of supervision and evaluation of the principal in the application of school-based management at  Senior High School of Dwi Warna  Medan. The type of this research is field research by using qualitative methods and descriptive approach. Data collection is conducted through interviews, observations and documentation in the field by involving principals and other school residents. The results of the research indicate that: (a) The process of planning the implementation of school- based management at  Senior High School of Dwi Warna runs pretty well and is implemented by involving the committee and all other school components; (b) The principal's implementation strategy in implementing school-based management is quite well implemented, this is proven by involving all components of the school, and (c) The form of supervision and evaluation of school-based management implementation at  Senior High School of Dwi Warna runs quite well. This is evidenced by the two supervision techniques that are carried out regularly by the principal. The evaluation not only emphasizes the process of teaching and learning activities, but also considers the other necessary aspects, for example: the competence of educators, students,  infrastructure, finance and community relations.

Currently, education management in Indonesia recognizes two mechanisms, namely centralization and decentralization system, in the centralized system of education administration regulated by the central government. This study aims to find out how the implementation of School Based Management (SBM) in KHM NUR Junior High School Surabaya, knowing what programs are implemented in KHM NUR Junior high School Surabaya and aims to determine what factors that support and hinder the implementation of School Based Management (SBM) in an effort to improve the quality of education at KHM NUR Junior High School Surabaya. The type of research used in this study is Field Research, which is studying intensively about the background of the present state, in the interaction of a social, individual, group, institution, and society. Technique of data analysis used qualitative descriptive. The findings of this study can be concluded; first: Implementation of School Based Management (SBM) at KHM. NUR Junior High School Surabaya has been well scheduled. Second: The programs that have been implemented as the implementation of School Based Management (SBM) in KHM. NUR Junior High School Surabaya in academic and non-academic field. Third: Supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of School Based Management (SBM) in KHM. Abstract: The success of schools in improving the quality of education cannot be separated from the role of the principal. Headmaster. This study aims to describe (1) the role of the principal as empowering the human resources of the teaching and educational staff. (2) supporting factors for the success of school principals as empowering human resources for teaching and educational staff. (3) obstacles faced by school principals as empowering human resources for teaching and educational staff. (4) Headmasters' efforts as empowering human resources for teaching and educational staff in overcoming school problems. This research uses a multi-site study. This research was conducted at Senior High School YKHS and Senior High School Darul Munir. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and study documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the role of the head of YKHS and Darul Munir senior high schools as empowering human resources is to involve teachers and staff in managing school programs, managing curriculum, creating a conducive learning climate and achievement, involving teachers in training to improve their competence, facilitate facilities and infrastructure to support school activities, plan budgets, conduct student management activities, specifically assign teachers to oversee the program, and conduct supervision. (3) Internal factors that support success are the togetherness of the teachers to optimize their potential and the sincere desire to run the school program that has been planned together. External factors are strong student guardian support for programs that have been run by schools. (3) Internal constraints faced are limited time from teachers to carry out or run the program to the maximum extent possible. The external obstacle is the student's guardian awareness of the school program. (4) Efforts made in improving the quality of schools to overcome internal and external problems are communicating to teachers to be more active in carrying out or carrying out planned programs.Keywords: Principal, Empowerment, Human Resources. Abstrak: Keberhasilan sekolah dalam menigkatkan mutu pendidikan tidak lepas dari peran kepala sekolah. Kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) peran kepala sekolah sebagai pemberdayaanan SDM tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan. (2) faktor pendukung keberhasilan kepala sekolah sebagai pemberdayaanan SDM tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan. (3) kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah sebagai perberdaya SDM tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan. (4) upaya Kepala Sekolah sebagai pemberdayaanan SDM tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan dalam mengatasi masalah sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi multisitus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA YKHS dan SMA Darul Munir. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) peran kepala SMA YKHS dan SMA Darul Munir sebagai pemberdayaan SDM yaitu melibatkan guru dan pegawai dalam pengelolaan program sekolah, melakukan pengelolaan kurikulum, mewujudkan iklim belajar dan berprestasi yang kondusif, mengikutkan guru-guru dalam pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensinya, memfasilitasi sarana dan prasarana pendukung kegiatan sekolah, merencanakan penganggaran, mlakukan kegiatan pengelolaan kesiswaan, menugaskan secara khusus guru-guru untuk mengawal program, dan melakukan pengawasan. (3) Faktor internal yang menjadi pendukung keberhasilan yaitu kebersamaan guru-guru untuk mengoptimalkan potensi yang dimiliki dan keinginnan yang ikhlas untuk mejalankan program sekolah yang telah direncankan bersama-sama. Faktor eksternalnya yaitu dukungan wali murid yang kuat pada program yang telah dijalankan oleh sekolah. (3) Kendala internal yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan waktu dari guru-guru untuk melakukan atau menjalankan program dengan semaksimal mungkin. Kendala eksternalnya adalah kesadaran wali murid akan program sekolah tersebut. (4) Upaya yang dilakukan dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah untuk mengatasi masalah internal dan eksternal adalah mengkomunikasikan kepada guru-guru untuk lebih aktif melakukan atau menjalankan program yang telah direncanakan.Kata kunci: Kepala Sekolah, Pemberdayaanan, Sumberdaya Manusia
