The tight schedule of lecture activities requires accuracy so that it always runs smoothly. Lecturer assignments play an important role to ensure the smooth lecture activities. Problems that often occur in the assignment of these lecturers need to be avoided. In an effort to reduce the risk of problems that occur in the assignment of lecturers, it is necessary to make a structured system with the right method. Hungarian method can be said very appropriate for this assignment problem because each course will only be charged to one lecturer. Another advantage of using the hungarian method in this lecturer assignment model is also because it uses the preferences of prospective lecturers as subjects of measurement. Each lecturer will take courses according to their best preferences with the expectation that the lecturer will have more mastery in the courses that he will teach.

OPTIMIZATION OF DISTRIBUTION WORKER ASSIGNMENTUSING HUNGARIAN METHODABSTRACTThe Important point to be observe the worker assignment on “Lia Fashion Komo Luar” is how to condition of the assignment for minimum production cost advantages. While in “Man Taylor” is how the condition of the assignment for minimum production time. To simplify the assignment of these worker, there is a operation research method is the Assignment Problem using the Hungarian method. Assignment Problem is one case in the business world relating to the optimal assignment in which the number of worker equal to number of tasks to be done. Hungarian method is one technique for solving assignment problem consider the observation and problem formulation analysis afterwords by modifying the assignment table to the matrix of effectiveness in order to obtain optimal conditions. The results obtained by assignment of the right worker on the “Lia Fashion Komo Luar” for a minimum production cost advantage the worker A was assigned to sew scout uniform girls, worker B was assigned to sew school uniform girls, and worker C was assigned to sew officer clothes. While in “Man Taylor” for minimum production time the worker A was asiigned to sew kebaya clothes, worker C was assigned to sew kebaya skirt, worker D was assigned to sew trousers, worker E was assigned to sew short dress, worker F was assigned to sew PDH clothes, and worker G was assigned to sew shirt clothes.

This paper presents a mathematical model for distributing computers in the IT sector. The model is to find the maximum profit of a company who gives computers as rentals for various vendors. Assignment problem is implemented for assigning various computers to vendors. The solution of the assignment problem is obtained by Hungarian method. Based on this solution, the company made the optimal decision in distribution of computers to various vendors.

The problem of flight delay prediction is approached most often by predicting a delay class or value. However, the aviation industry can benefit greatly from probabilistic delay predictions on an individual flight basis, as these give insight into the uncertainty of the delay predictions. Therefore, in this study, two probabilistic forecasting algorithms, Mixture Density Networks and Random Forest regression, are applied to predict flight delays at a European airport. The algorithms estimate well the distribution of arrival and departure flight delays with a Mean Absolute Error of less than 15 min. To illustrate the utility of the estimated delay distributions, we integrate these probabilistic predictions into a probabilistic flight-to-gate assignment problem. The objective of this problem is to increase the robustness of flight-to-gate assignments. Considering probabilistic delay predictions, our proposed flight-to-gate assignment model reduces the number of conflicted aircraft by up to 74% when compared to a deterministic flight-to-gate assignment model. In general, the results illustrate the utility of considering probabilistic forecasting for robust airport operations’ optimization.

Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, energy conservation has become the theme of the development of the world. China government set the emissions-reduction targets in various industries on the 12th Five-Year Plan. And the airlines were committed to reduce their carbon emissions. From an operational perspective, the airline model assignment problem is a key factor of the total carbon emissions on the entire route network. But the traditional aircraft assignment models approach did not account for this purpose to reduce carbon emissions. By constructing the multi-objective optimization models consider carbon emissions assignment model using a genetic algorithm, numerical example shows that the model is able to meet all aspects demand which include meeting route network capacity demand, minimizing operating costs and reducing total aircraft fleet carbon emissions.

The decision making process is the essence of the administrative process and its means of achieving the goals of the service organizations or productivity because the decision contributes mainly to enable them to carry out their administrative activities efficiently and effectively. The assignment process is one of the most important problems affecting the organizations performance because to determine the administrative composition of the organization. The correct decision making to the assignment problem and the right person in the right place will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. The previous methods to solve these problems depend on a single criterion such as cost, profit, time and so on. In this paper, three models were formulated for the of multi-criteria assignment problem. The first model multiple objective for present assignment problem when the assignment matrix is square, while the second and third models are a non-square assignment problem. The second model is the number of rows is greater than the number of columns while the third model where the number of columns larger than the rows. The second model is applied to the assignment problem of unit managers in the college of Administration and Economics based on two criteria: deferring the employee's desire to leader of task and the other criterion of assignment cost and using goal programming method. The data were collected by questionnaire.

Airline-specific and priority strategy is often used in gate assignment practice. However, there is no such kind of published research paper until now. Taking these practical two as premises, this paper presents a new comprehensive assignment model which considered the factors of multi-runway, service strategy, gate utilization balance and airline-specific gates simultaneously. The data used in the paper is from a hub airport in China, and IBM ILOG CPLEX optimization solver is used to solve the model. Computational result shows that the double runaway can reduce the total waiting time 1155 minutes compared with the single runway; and adopting priority strategy can reduce the waiting time about 30% compared with no priority strategy. As for utilization rate, imposing a utilization rate constraint in the model can greatly reduce the unbalance of gate use.
