This meta-analysis research was conducted with several objectives. First is analyzing that influence given by the problem-based learning model of students' critical thinking skills. Second is to analyze the magnitude of the influence exerted by the problem based learning model based on the level of education (SMA and SMP). The third is to review the magnitude of the influence of using the problem-based learning model based on the material being taught (Work and Energy, Fluid, Substance Pressure, Motion, Elasticity, Harmonic Vibration, Electric Current and Electrical Resistance, Temperature and Heat). The fourth examines the magnitude of the influence of the problem-based learning model based on grade levels (VII, VIII, X and XI). The method used in this research is meta-analysis, which is to analyze 20 articles from existing research. Obtained 4 effect size values from the research that has been done. For the effect size, the ability to think critically is 2.25 which is in the high category. Aspect effect size based on the level of education is 2.43 for SMA level. The effect size for the aspect based on the material is 2.99 for the fluid material and the effect size for the aspect based on the grade level is 3.33 at grade XI level.

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model based on ethnoscience on students' critical thinking skills on colloidal material. Experiments were conducted on a sample of 36 experimental class students with an ethnoscience-based problem-based learning model and 36 experimental class students with a convention learning model. This research method is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The instruments used are essay tests and observation sheets. The results of this study indicate that the average posttest in the experimental class is 76.08, which is higher than the control class, which is 69.33. These results indicate that the use of ethnoscience-based learning problem-based learning models on colloidal material is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills compared to using conventional models.

The Low Learning Thinking of students in learning Mathematics becomes a major problem in this research. This is caused by the learning model used which is incorrect and less varied. This study analyzed the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models based on Catur Pramana on critical thinking skills with numerical ability control. This research was a quasi-experimental, with Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all fifth-grade elementary schools with 177 students. The data collection method was done by using multiple-choice tests and essay tests. The data obtained were analyzed using the ANAKOVA test (covariance analysis) with the help of SPSS 20.0 for windows. The results of this study are significant results of the Problem Based Learning Model (PBL) based on Catur Pramana on critical thinking skills with Fcount 29,219 with sig; = 0,000 <0.05, there is a significant effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on Catur Pramana on mathematical thinking skills after obtaining numerical ability of students who obtain Fcount 9,398 with sig. = 0.004 <0.05; and are considered significant who have numerical ability to critical thinking skills of 35.05%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning Model based on Catur Pramana proves positive and there is a contribution of numerical ability to the critical thinking ability of Mathematics studentsl.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning model Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning in terms of the critical thinking skills of grade V elementary school students. This type of research is a meta analyst. The data analysis technique used is the Effect size analysis technique. The effect size formula is the effect formula with the eta squared (ή2) formula. The instrument used in this study was a coding sheet. The variables used to obtain coding information on the effect size of the meta-analysis study. The results showed that the Discovery Learning learning model was more effective than the Problem Based Learning learning model for improving students' critical thinking skills. Ancova test results show f count> f table of 0.009 and F count obtained is 6.12, namely 6.12> 0.65 and a significance of 0.001 <0.05 which indicates that there is an effectiveness of Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning learning models in improving critical thinking skills of class students V SD.

The learning model is a design that is used as a class design. Learning outcomes are changes in behavior obtained after carrying out activities in the learning process of the PBL learning model, learning can develop critical thinking skills for students. In the effectiveness of the PBL learning model, there has not been a comprehensive study of the effectiveness of learning model. The goal is to understand how much influence cognitive learning outcomes and Problem Based Learning learning models have on the learning outcomes of elementary school students. The results of the effect size test using the T-test are seen from the Paired Sample Test listed in the mean column of 49.27 and the standard deviation of 26.09 has a sig value of 0.000. The effect size obtained is 0.37 and seen from cohen's table that PBL learning has a moderate effect on cognitive learning outcomes in elementary schools.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectivenees of the effect od the example non example model on science learning. The research method used is a meta-analysis of previous studies that apply the example non example learning model in science learning. The research begins with formulating a research problem, tracing the relevant research results for analysisi. Data is collected by browsing electronic journals via google scholar. Form the search, it was obtained 8 scientific articles that have been published, the instrument was in the form of coding based on predetermined criteria. Data were analyzed using the effect size. The research findings reveal that overall the studies conductes are effective and effective on science learning in elementary scools with an effect size of 1,323132 or in the high efficiency category. The example non example model also has an effect and is effective at the grade level, namely in grade 4,5 and 6 and the application of learnin to improve learning outcomes, critical thinking skills, and the ability to explain.  The conclusion of this study is that the example non example model is more effective in science learning compared to other learning models from this study.
