Perusahaan keluarga adalah perusahaan yang dalam keberlanjutannya dikaitkan dengan penerus dari keluarga tersebut dan dalam pemberian keputusan strategis dilakukan oleh anggota keluarga. Usaha keluarga berjuang untuk bertahan dari generasi ke generasi, dalam keberlangsungan bisnis yakni mempertahankan, mengembangkan dan melindungi bisnis keluarga dari generasi ke generasi perlu menjadi sorotan utama dalam perusahaan keluarga. Usaha keluarga berjuang untuk dapat bertahan dari generasi ke generasi, bahkan keberlanjutan usaha keluarga telah menjadi fokus utama usaha keluarga. Keberlangsungan usaha dalam perusahaan dapat didukung oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah faktor founder mentality dan leadership characteristic. Sehingga penelitian ini, peneliti ingin mengetahui apakah faktor founder mentality dan leadership characteristic dapat mempengaruhi sustainability family bisnis yang nantinya dapat diterapkan pada perusahaan Sumber Alam Putra dan komunitas family business universitas ciputra angkatan 7 atau tahun ajaran 2016. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif, populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 90 orang dalam komunitas Fambus di Universitas Ciputra Surabaya angkatan 7 dan menggunakan 48 orang yang berada dalam komunitas Fambus di Universitas Ciputra Surabaya angkatan 7. Berdasarkan keseluruhan hasil analisis dan pembahasan penelitian, founder mentality dan leadership characteristic terhadap sustainability berpengaruh signifikan dan terimplikasi secara manajerial terhadap keberlangsungan perusahaan keluarga pada komunitas family business universitas ciputra surabaya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kepemimpinan Yayasan Pembina Masjid Salman ITB ditinjau dari aspek kepemimpinannya dan peranannya dalam konteks hubungan antar pribadi, informasi, serta pengambilan keputusan dalam proses kaderisasi mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif yang didasarkan pada pemikiran bahwa kepemimpinan dapat diukur dengan mempergunakan tolok ukur yang sesuai dengan jenis dan sifat kelompok yang dipimpin yakni tujuan organisasi. Analisis data dengan  analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran kepemimpinan Yayasan Pembina Masjid dalam proses kaderisasi mahasiswa. Syarif Hidayat dipandang sebagai pemimpin yang autokratis, corak kepemimpinannya yang cenderung demokratik serta tidak terlepas perannya sebagai leading figure, serta pengambilan keputusan yang sangat berpegang teguh pada prinsip musyawarah. This paper aims to know leadership characteristic Yayasan Pembina Masjid Salman ITB viewed from the aspect of its leadership and its role in the context of interpersonal relationships, information, and decision making in the process of student cadre. The research method using descriptive method based on the idea that leadership can be measured by using benchmarks that match the type and nature of the group that is led the goal of the organization. Data analysis with qualitative analysis. The result of the research show the role of leadership of Yayasan Pembina Masjid in the process of student cadre. Syarif Hidayat is seen as an autocratic leader, his democratic leadership style as well as his role as a leading figure, as well as decision-making that strongly adheres to the principle of musyawarah.

<p><em>A leadership characteristic is a valuable quality in a leader, where this leader attitude can be seen as an example by the leader’s friends and colleagues. So, it is important to understand and learn someone’s leadership. On the contrary, it is also important for a leader to analyse his/her leadership for his/her own good. The ability to lead or leadership is based on someone’s behaviour, personality, capability, effort and also that person’s willingness to improve himself/herself. Leadership is science which its implementation should be determine based on the situation, environment and most importantly is the co-worker/colleagues. The most suitable leadership on board of a ship is an authoritarian but democratic leadership. It means all the instruction should be follow by all crews ship from Master to Ratings.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><em>: Master, Roles, Performance, Crews ship</em></p><p> </p><p>Sifat kepemimpinan merupakan kwalitas pribadi seseorang yang amat berharga bagi seorang pemimpin dalam menjalankan kepemimpinannya dan merupakan sikap dan tingkah laku yang dapat dilihat dan dicontoh oleh Iingkungannya. Oleh karena itu sifat-sifat kepemimpinan dapat dipelajari dengan menjalani dan memahami sifat-sifat kepemimpinan seseorang. Pemimpin dapat menganalisa dirinya guna kepentingannya. Kemampuan memimpin atau kepemimpinan yang sangat bergantung pada kualitas jiwa dan sifat seseorang akan berhasil menjalankan kepemimpinannya tergantung kemampuan, usaha dan kegiatan orang itu sendiri dalam mengembangkan serta meningkatkan kualitas pribadinya (<em>self improvement</em>). Kepemimpinan sebagai ilmu didalam pelaksanaannya harus disesuaikan dengan keadaan dan lingkungan serta anggota bawahan yang dihadapi untuk tipe kepemimpinan atas kapal saat dilaut yang cocok dipakai dan dianut yaitu tipe kepemimpinan otoriter dan demokrasi, maksudnya adalah tipe ini melakukan pimpinan pekerjaan atau kehendak yang diinginkan bersama dengan bawahannya.</p><p><strong><em>Kata kunci</em></strong><em> : Kinerja ABK, Nahkoda, Kinerja</em></p>

Background: Work related accidents are one of the main focused and indicators of the successful implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) aspects in Indonesia. One of the causes of accidents is the worst implementation and supervision of OHS. Based on some research that has done, safety leadership is solution to improve OHS performance and reduce the number of work related accidents. PT. BCD is one of paper manufacturing company in Indonesia that using high-tech machinery and involving many workers who possibly increase risk of work related accidents. Objective: Aims of this to identify safety leadership characteristics of supervisors Production Division at PT. BCD Method: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods on supervisors in the Production Division of PT. BCD, one of paper manufacturing company in Karawang, West Java Province. Results: It has found that the characteristics of good safety leadership applied by the supervisor production division of PT. BCD is an element of commitment to OHS and communication. While the element of safety leadership characteristics that not well implemented, reflected by the element of safety involvement. Supervisors are not fully involved to safety program that consist of are involved in all corrective actions, and motivate the employee to participate in the OHS program. Conclusion: Safety leadership characteristics of supervisors in the Production Division of PT. BCD has not well implemented to the elements of safety involvement.

Objective - The main objectives of this study is to examine the relationship between transformational leadership characteristic (i.e., idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration), organizational commitment and job performance of the four State-Owned Banks employees in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Methodology/Technique - The research design applied in the study is a quantitative method. Data used in evaluating the model were gathered from the four State-Owned Banks in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. 345 permanent employees of those four State-Owned Banks participated in the survey. The Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), using LISREL 8.8 Software will be employed to examine the relationship among the constructs in the study, which are transformational leadership characteristic, organizational commitment, and job performance. Findings - The findings of the study concluded that transformational leadership characteristic insignificant relationship on job performance, transformational leadership characteristic positive significant relationship on organizational commitment, organizational commitment positive significant relationship on job performance, and Organizational commitment mediates the relationship between transformational leadership characteristic and job performance of employees of the four State-Owned Banks in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Novelty - Variables used in this study partially been done but research regarding all variables of employees of the four State-Owned Bank in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia felt there was still no.
