Abstrak Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat kualitas butir instrument tes dan non tes berdasarkan tingkat validitas konstruk dan reliabilitas. Jenis penelitian ini masuk dalam kategori pengembangan instrument yang biasa disebut dengan R & D. Penelitian ini merupakan bentuk simulasi terhadap instrument yang telah dikembangkan sebelumnya yaitu tahun 2016 dan 2017 yang berjalan selama 4 bulan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis kuantitatif dimana yang dimaksud adalah Confirmatory Faktor Analisys (CFA) dengan bantuan software LISREL. Hasil analisis dalam simulasi ini ditemukan bahwa butir instrument yang dikembangkan memenuhi criteria valid secara konstruk dan reliabel baik untuk instrument tes maupun non tes.Kata kunci: lisrel, amos, SEM, instrument, tes, non tes, pengukuran, penilaian, evaluasi, spssAbstractThe purpose of this paper is to analyze the level of grain quality of test and non test instruments based on the level of construct validity and reliability. This type of research belongs to the category of instrument development commonly referred to as R & D. This research is a form of simulation of the instrument that has been developed previously ie 2016 and 2017 which runs for 4 months. Data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis technique which is Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with the help of LISREL software. This study aims to develop an instrument for teachers’ attitudes toward academic supervision performed by supervisors in special education. This is an instrument development study working under the modified six-step development framework introduced by Djaali and Sumadi. The validity of the study was examined by two experts in measurements. The instrument was tested on 94 teachers in schools of special education in South Sulawesi. The validity and reliability were estimated using the confirmatory factor analysis by Lisrel program. The instrument produced from this attempt were 44 questions in a form of likert scale; the validity was 0.90 and the reliability was 0.96, and it was done under a tridimensional structure (i.e., monitoring, assessment, and coaching). The dimension of monitoring measured the execution of eight education standards observed by school supervisors. The dimension of assessment measured the performance of supervisors during a class supervision that was taught by a teacher of special education. The dimension of coaching measured the supervisors’ performance in giving motivation, delivering training, and providing feedback for teachers of special education. It was done in order to make the teachers more professional and independent in completing their tasks and responsibilities as teachers for special education. Therefore, the instrument produced from this research is expected to be able to describe the teachers’ attitudes toward academic supervision performed by the school supervisors.

Purpose: The aim of this paper is to provide evidence for the validity and reliability of a questionnaire for assessing the implementation of problem-based learning (PBL). This questionnaire was developed to assess the quality of PBL implementation from the perspective of medical school graduates. Methods: A confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to assess the validity of the questionnaire. The analysis was based on a survey of 225 graduates of a problem-based medical school in Indonesia. Results: The results showed that the confirmatory factor analysis model had a good fit to the data. Further, the values of the standardized loading estimates, the squared inter-construct correlations, the average variances extracted, and the composite reliabilities all provided evidence of construct validity. Conclusion: The PBL implementation questionnaire was found to be valid and reliable, making it suitable for evaluation purposes.

Purpose: This study was conducted to verify the validity and reliability of the modified Transition Shock Scale for use among nursing students. Methods: From March 8-April 3, 2018, 207 nursing students participated in this study and were asked to complete self-reported questionnaires, including transition shock, clinical stress, and adapting to clinical practicums. The IBM SPSS Win 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs were used for data analysis. Results: A confirmatory factor analysis supported good convergent and discriminant validities ($x^2/df=1.58$, TLI=.92, CFI=.95, RMSEA=.053, AVE=.51-.68, CR=.75-.68). Correlations among transition shock, clinical stress (r=.34, p<.001), and adapting to clinical practicums (r=-.54, p<.001) were significant. Cronbach's alpha for the overall scale was .85, and for the six subfactors it ranged from .65 to .75. Conclusion: The findings suggest that the 17-item transition shock questionnaire is an appropriate instrument for measuring nursing students' transition shock with good validity and reliability.

This study aims to prove the construct validity of the lesson plan assessment instrument in primary schools. In addition, the purpose of this study is to estimate the reliability of lesson plan instruments in primary schools. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach that is carried out on professional teacher education students at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta and Universitas Islam Negeri Makassar. The subjects of this study were 516 randomly selected students. Data collection is done through documentation of the results of assessments from the field supervisor of each student. The data analysis technique used is confirmatory factor analysis and composites score reliability. The results showed that the lesson plan assessment instrument was measured by 25 items spread over 4 indicators. All items in the lesson plan assessment instrument indicators are construct valid after being tested through confirmatory factor analysis. In addition, the lesson plan assessment instrument in this study was reliable and had a fairly high construct reliability coefficient of 0.92.

Abstract Background The Lederman Prenatal Self-Evaluation Questionnaire (PSEQ) is used to assess psychosocial adaptation to pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and maternity. The PSEQ is a tool used in various countries and has been translated into Portuguese; however, it needs to be validated in Brazil. This study aimed to analyze the validity and reliability of the PSEQ in Brazilian pregnant women. Method This methodological validity study investigated internal consistency and reliability using Cronbach’s alpha and intraclass correlation coefficients. Construct validity was assessed using Pearson’s correlation between domains and confirmatory factor analysis. To assess concurrent validity, Pearson’s correlation between the different domains of the PSEQ and Prenatal Psychosocial Profile-Portuguese Version (PPP-VP) was determined. The level of significance was set at 5%. Results This study included 399 pregnant women in the northeastern region of Brazil. The internal consistency and reliability of the total PSEQ score were high (Cronbach's alpha = 0.89; intraclass correlation coefficient = 0.95). Validity analysis showed positive and significant correlations between all PSEQ domains, ranging from 0.14 to 0.56. Confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated the following values of goodness of fit: RMSEA = 0.05, SRMR = 0.08, CFI = 0.61, χ2/df = 1.77. The discriminant and concurrent validities of the PSEQ were confirmed. Conclusions The Portuguese version of the PSEQ has adequate psychometric properties and is a valid and reliable tool to evaluate psychosocial adaptation to pregnancy in Brazilian pregnant women.

Abstract Background Person-centred care is the preferred model for caring for people with dementia. Knowledge of the level of person-centred care is essential for improving the quality of care for patients with dementia. The person-centred care of older people with cognitive impairment in acute care (POPAC) scale is a tool to determine the level of person-centred care. This study aimed to translate and validate the Dutch POPAC scale and evaluate its psychometric properties to enable international comparison of data and outcomes. Methods After double-blinded forward and backward translations, a total of 159 nurses recruited from six hospitals (n=114) and via social media (n=45) completed the POPAC scale. By performing confirmatory factor analysis, construct validity was tested. Cronbach’s alpha scale was utilized to establish internal consistency. Results The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the comparative fit index (0.89) was slightly lower than 0.9. The root mean square error of approximation (0.075, p=0.012, CI 0.057–0.092) and the standardized root mean square residual (0.063) were acceptable, with values less than 0.08. The findings revealed a three-dimensional structure. The factor loadings (0.69–0.77) indicated the items to be strongly associated with their respective factors. The results also indicated that deleting Item 5 improved the Cronbach’s alpha of the instrument as well as of the subscale ‘using cognitive assessments and care interventions’. Instead of deleting this item, we suggest rephrasing it into a positively worded item. Conclusions Our findings suggest that the Dutch POPAC scale is sufficiently valid and reliable and can be utilized for assessing person-centred care in acute care hospitals. The study enables nurses to interpret and compare person-centred care levels in wards and hospital levels nationally and internationally. The results form an important basis for improving the quality of care and nurse-sensitive outcomes, such as preventing complications and hospital stay length.

Background: Child obesity is one of the main health problems all across the world, which leads to mental and physical health problems. Various models are used in designing intervention to prevent child obesity, one of which is social-cognitive theory (SCT). The constructs of social-cognitive theory are commonly used for designing preventive interventions. However, there is no specific tool based on the constructs of social-cognitive theory to assess the factors associated with child obesity. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the validity and confirmatory factor analysis of a SCT-based questionnaire for assessing obesity preventing behaviors among 4-6 years old children. Method: A cross-sectional study was first conducted in 2016 on 240 preschool children aged 4-6 years in Behbahan city (a city in southwest Iran) to assess the obesity prevention behaviors among them using a SCT-based questionnaire. To investigate the validity and confirmatory factor analysis of the SCT-based questionnaire, content and face validity as well as forward-backward translation method were used. Reliability of the questionnaire was also measured by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and Intra-class Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Construct validity was assured by confirmatory factor analysis. To measure the obesity prevention behaviors in 4-6 years old children, the construct of SCT, including environment, emotional coping, outcome expectations, goal setting and self-efficacy were used. Also, the obesity prevention behaviors used in the model included physical activity, consumption of fruit and vegetable, consumption of sugar-free drinks, and screen. Results: Results of this study confirmed the acceptable content and face validity of the SCT-based questionnaire. The results of confirmatory factor analysis also confirmed the factor loading of more than 0.3 for all variables; therefore, the SCT-based questionnaire had an acceptable validity and reliability. Conclusions: Since the SCT-based questionnaire had an acceptable validity and reliability, it can be used to assess the obesity prevention behaviors in 4-6 year old children, and also to design relevant educational interventions. Purpose: A study was conducted to investigate the Turkish Validity and Reliability of the Insulin Initiation Attitudes Scale of individuals with Type 2 diabetes. Materials and methods: This methodologically planned study was conducted with 128 Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients who met the sampling criteria. Data collected using a personal information form to identify individuals diagnosed with diabetes and CH-ASIQ, which assessed their attitudes towards diabetes, and the form Insulin Therapy Attitude Scale parallel as a parallel form. For the statistical analysis of the data, Construct Validity, Exploratory Factor Analysis, and Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Pearson, Gutmann, Split Half, Spearman, Cronbach Alpha coefficient methods were used. Results: It was statistically significant; it is seen that 14.1% of the participants were in the 41-50 age range, 37.5% were in the 51-60 age range, and 48.8% were 61 and over. According to Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test, the result was found to be 0.626. According to the results of factor analysis, 4 factors have emerged which have Eigenvalues above 1 and explain 69.48% of the total variance. According to Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Structural Equation Modeling Results of the scale were found to be p=0.000. According to Cronbach Alpha result 0.756. Conclusion: There was a relationship between attitudes to having information about the treatment of diabetics and attitude, and there was the relationship between them. Effects of fear, pain on these findings were observed. The importance of education for a positive attitude was determined. The importance of patients' attitudes towards insulin therapy should be emphasized for adaptation to the disease.

The aim of the study was to provide evidence for the validity and reliability of the Physical Activity Affect Scale (PAAS; Lox, Jackson, Tuholski, Wasley, & Treasure, 2000) as a measure of exercise induced affect for adults with brain injuries. The PAAS is a 12-item measure of feeling states based on Russell’s (1980) conceptualization of affect. A confirmatory factor analysis was conducted on data from 193 participants with brain injuries who completed the PAAS following a single bout of exercise. Results identified four dimensions of affect (positive affect, negative affect, tranquility, and fatigue). Findings provide evidence for the validity and reliability of the PAAS as a measure of exercise induced affect for adults with brain injuries.
