The purpose of this study was to analyze the abnormal returns and trading volume activity before and after the announcement of the rights issue. This research is the event study using secondary data. 33 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2005 to 2009 were sampled using a purposive sampling method, which consists of 9 samples (good news) and 24 samples (bad news). The results of this study showed that there was no significant difference in abnormal return observation period 5 days, 15 days, 60 days, 90 days, 180 days before and after the announcement of the rights issue in the group of good news and bad news. While the volume of trading activity, trading volume activity differences are significant at the 5 day period prior to the announcement of the rights issue after the group bad news.

This study aimed to analyze the reaction of investors on Indonesia Stock Exchange to the inauguration of the 8th President by observing whether there were any significant differences in abnormal returns and stock trading volume activities before and after the event. The observation period used in this study was 10 days, with details of each 5 days before and after the President's inauguration event that occurred on 20 October 2019. This research was quantitative research and used daily transaction data on the market capital as a secondary data source. The samples used were companies that were included in the LQ45 stock index for the period August 2019 - January 2020. A non-parametric test in the form of Wilcoxon test was used to test the hypothesis. The results of this study showed that there were no significant difference in abnormal return and stock trading volume activity in the period before and after the event. This was evidenced by the probability value above the significance level of 5%. Thus, the results of this study were stated that there was no reaction from the investor related to the event of the inauguration of the 8th President in Indonesia.

Objective - The aim of this research is to analyse the difference of abnormal returns, shares liquidity proxies by trading volume activity and a company financial performance proxies by current ratio and price earnings ratio before and after the rights issue. Methodology/Technique - Samples were taken by purposive sampling. Number of samples are 26 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that take the right issue for the year 2006 -2012. Testing of the hypothesis was done by using paired sample t-test for normally distributed data and Wilcoxon signed rank test for data that are not normally distributed. Findings - The results of this study showed that there is a significant difference in share liquidity proxies by trading volume activity before and after the announcement of the rights issue. After the right issue there are decreasing the number of trading volume activity because shareholders prefer to maintain their proportion of the share capital. Novelty - The increasing number of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange showed that there is positive growth of capital market in Indonesia. To be sustain in the market, companies need to improve their competitive advantage by optimizing resource utilization such as financial resources. This study aims to analyze whether there are significant differences in abnormal returns before and after the announcement of economic policy XVI and trading volume activity before and after the announcement of XVI economic policy on November 16, 2018. This study uses event study, where observations of the average abnormal return are carried out. and the average trading volume activityduring the 11 day observation period. In this study data was obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data used in this study include daily closing stock prices (closing price), daily stock trading volume, and the number of shares outstanding. The sample used amounted to 45 LQ45 index companies. The results of this study indicate (1) there is no significant difference in abnormal returns before and after the announcement of economic policy XVI (2) on the trading volume activity indicator there are significant differences before and after the announcement of XVI economic policy.

Go public companies in order to increase funds, companies can conduct corporate actions, namely rights issues. Right issue is a new share offering from the company for old investors with a system offering it to an old investor first. The information about the rights issue was published as an announcement that could be used to see market reactions. This market reaction is measured by abnormal returns to see stock returns and trading volume activity to see stock liquidity.This research intend to see abnormal stock returns and stock liquidity before and after the announcement of the rights issue with a sample of infrastructure sector companies in the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2018 with purposive sampling technique of sample selection, according to predetermined criteria then obtained 6 companies.This research is a descriptive study using quantitative methods. The test used in this study is the normality test then using a paired sample t-test. The results of this study show no significant difference from abnormal returns and stock liquidity before and after the announcement of the rights issue.

The purpose of this study is to determine the market reaction to the announcement of cash dividends, by looking at differences in abnormal return and trading volume activity before and after the cash dividend announcement. Dividend announcement is an event that affects the market, because the company provides information to the public. Information provided by the company will influence investors' decision making and will act on that information. The sample of this study amounted to 33 of the 100 companies incorporated in the Kompas 100 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data collection method uses non-participant observation, which is document observation. The analysis technique used is Paired-Sample T Test and Wilcoxon-Signed Rank Test. The results showed that there were no differences in abnormal returns and trading volume activity before and after the distribution of cash dividends. This research presents an empirical analysis of difference between abnormal return and trading volume activity before and after earths-quake, in Yogyakarta at May 27, 2006. And examine its statistical properties. This research argues that there was difference between abnormal return and trading volume activity before and after quake. For this purpose, the mean difference test, using t-test, was applied to compare the mean value of abnormal return and trading volume activity before and after quake. The sample of this research consists of the insurance firms listed at the Jakarta Stock Exchange. Investigation on the sample firms involved periods of ten days before quake and ten days after quake. The results of this research indicate that there was no significant difference between the abnormal return and trading volume activity before and after quake. This evidence confirms that even did not positively influence abnormal return and trading volume activity as suggested theoretically.

This study aims to analyze reaction of the Indonesian capital market about difference of average abnormal returns, trading volume activity, and security return variability between before and after the legalization of the Job Creation Act on October 5, 2020. This study used quantitative research with event study approach. The research sample is stocks registered in LQ45 with certain criteria determined used the purposing sampling method. Hypothesis testing used paired sample t-test and wilcoxon signed rank test. The results of the hypothesis testing show that: (1) There’s a significant difference in the average abnormal return between the period before and after the Job Creation Act legalization. (2) There’s no significant difference in the average trading volume activity between the periodsbefore and after the Job Creation Act legalization. This study aims to determine the effect of simultaneous elections in Indonesia, namely legislative and executive elections that occur simultaneously together with the reaction in the capital market. Market reaction is measured using trading volume activity and returns stock that occur within the timeframe before and after the holding of simultaneous elections, namely on the date before and after April 17, 2019. The population in this study is the issuer that actively trades its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in Compass100 Index stock category. The research hypothesis was tested with an independent sample t-test using software SPPS26. Hypothesis testing results indicate a significant difference in trading volume activity that occurs before and after simultaneous elections. While the variable abnormal return there is no significant difference before and after the election simultaneously. This research is expected to be a reference for all parties concerned including the public towards a political event that occurs in this case specifically the simultaneous elections for decision making related to investment activities in stock instruments

In early 2020, stock trading in Indonesia was under significant pressure, as indicated by the decline in the IHSG. This is due to the pressure and global economic slowdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic and weakening world oil prices. The purpose of this study was to find out how the effect of share buyback announcements without the RUPS on the response to the market at PT. Aneka Tambang Tbk. based on Surat Edaran OJK Nomor 3/SEOJK.04/2020. This research is structured with a quantitative method with a descriptive approach using secondary data types obtained from finance.yahoo.com and other relevant sources. This study will assess whether a significant difference is found before the announcement of the stock buyback and afterwards on the return, abnormal return, and trading volume activity of the stock. The results of the study stated that there was no significant difference before and after the announcement of the stock buyback on the return and abnormal return at PT. Aneka Tambang Tbk. However, a significant difference was found in the trading volume activity (TVA) before the announcement of the share buyback at PT. Aneka Tambang Tbk. and after.

This study aims to determine the difference in the trading volume activity, stock prices and abnormal returns before and after the announcement of a stock split. The population of this study are all companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange that take corporate action in the form of stock split at period 2017-2018. Sampling using purposive sampling. Based on the sampling criteria predetermined number of samples acquired 24 stocks. The analytical method used is the analysis Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with the observation period (event window) is 14 days. The results showed that there were differences in the trading volume activity and stock prices before and after the announcement of stock split, while the last hypothesis showed that there were no differences in abnormal returns before and after the announcement of stock split.
