TSINC is a new online testing method. The acronym TSINC represents its five characteristics: Time-pressed, Sequential, Individualized, Not searchable, and Calibration-bound. Its primary feature is that it can be used to organize plagiarism-resistant online testing without human monitoring. In this paper, the logical basis of this method, its implementation details, applicable areas and limitations, test cases, and so on are reported.

Testing the correctness of services assures the functional quality of service-oriented applica-tions. A service-oriented application may bind dynamically to its supportive services. For the same service interface, the supportive services may behave differently. A service may also need to realize a business strategy, like best pricing, relative to the behavior of its counterparts and the dynamic market situations. Many existing works ignore these issues to address the problem of identifying failures from test results. This article proposes a metamorphic approach for online services testing. The off-line testing determines a set of successful test cases to construct their corresponding follow-up test cases for the online testing. These test cases will be executed by metamorphic services that encapsulate the services under test as well as the implementations of metamorphic relations. Thus, any failure revealed by the metamorphic testing approach will be due to the failures in the online testing mode. An experiment is included.

To respond to changes in the requirements of the information and control system, it is necessary to rebuild the system with new functions and/or systems with a different architecture. In this paper, we propose a method that enables on-site technicians to perform step-wise migration from a legacy system to a target system without having to stop the whole system and without requiring advance preparation or support from a system engineer who is an expert in system design and development. Accordingly, we aimed to develop a technology for the coexistence of and cooperation between with target and legacy systems and cooperation test between heterogeneous systems. We implemented this method and evaluated its effectiveness by applying it for rebuilding a production line management system.

The security of protocol implementation is important and hard to be verified. Since the penetration testing is usually based on the experience of the security tester and the specific protocol specifications, a formal and automatic verification method is always required. In this paper, we propose an extended model of IOLTS to describe the legal roles and intruders of security protocol implementations, and then combine them together to generate the suitable test cases to verify the security of protocol implementation.

To ensure the quality of Web applications, Web testing is one of the effective methods. This paper proposes a Web usage model based on probable FSM (PFSM) which provides a way to derive the test cases for a Web application. The testing process is based on the idea that different parts of the Web application have different execution frequency. This testing method is a significant contribution to informed research.

In the maintenance of SCADA system, requirements may have been changed, which motivates the component modification to create new versions and their accompany tests. Regression testing strategies aim at the retest for modification affection in SCADA software maintenance. This paper presents a SCADA system regression testing method based on a new Component Testing Association Model. In this method, previously executed test cases are selected to generate the minimal regression test suite by the identification and impact analysis for the modification-affected component groups.

A simplified safety valve simulation model is established on basis of a widely used safety valve in engineering-spring directly loading safety valve, and the relationship between the mechanic parameter of spring surface and loading is discussed according to the result of simulation analysis. The relationship of strain varying rate in spring measuring point and setting pressure varying rate of safety valve is achieved, it can be used as a online fault diagnosis criteria when setting pressure changes in working course. Furthermore, an online testing technology of safety valve is proposed. Through experiment research using traditional electric strain sensor, the relationship between measured parameters of the specific parts in the safety-valve and the experimental loading is achieved, and the online testing method is proved to be very workable.
