 In the era of globalization, it is very necessary to know about the recorded materials while teaching English as a second language. It is needless to say that the recorded materials are the boon of science and technology which has made easier the formal learning process. Till now many English teacher has been ignoring the power of recorded materials in language teaching specially, in the secondary level of school. Obviously, English language teaching is difficult in the context of Nepal but those materials related to recorded make the classroom more lively. As a result the learning becomes the easier process. This study which was conducted at SD Islam Laboratorium Neuhen, Mesjid Raya is intended to figure out how the implementation of media in English language teaching to the six levels. The study was conducted case study research design. The population was 44 and the sample was taken by using nonprobability sample that is convenience sampling was 22 students and 1 English teacher. The research problems are: (1) what kinds of media are used by the teacher in teaching English? (2) how does the teacher implement media in teaching English? (3) what are the obstacles faced by the teacher in teaching English by using media (4) what are students’ responses toward using media in English language teaching? The data were collected by using instruments, namely: observation checklist sheets, questionnaire sheet, interview guidelines, and documentations.Based on the data analysis, it was found that (1) the English teacher at SD Islam Laboratorium used (a) smart phone as audio media (b) visual printed media such as book, magazine and newspaper (c) visual display media such as picture, flashcard, poster, realia/model/mock up, puzzle and blackboard (d) teacher herself as model (2) the teacher did three phases in using media. They are: (a) preparation; learning curriculum and syllabus, the teacher matches the basic competences with appropriate media, preparing the media, bring the media to the class, recognizing the types of the students (b) core activity; students’ question about media, student-centered in learning process while using media, good interaction in using media, cognitive-affective-psychomotor of the student in using media (c) closing; summarization of using media, motivation/moral value of using media, giving homework. In addition the teacher did positive performance in using media (3) some difficulties faced by the teacher in the implementation of media in English language teaching, they are: designing lesson plan and preparing appropriate teaching materials as media (4) the students' responses toward the implementation of media was very positive. The findings show that 90% of the students like to study English by using media. So, it is suggested that English teacher should use the media, because they are the effective tools in English teaching-learning process.

This article discusses the challenges of teaching English listening comprehension to law students and how to overcome them. Law students face some language challenges due to the nature of the English language. That is, students in the early stages of learning are the first to experience the ability to listen and understand. Therefore, it is worth considering the learning difficulties that may arise from the nature of the English language in terms of listening skills. In this article, we want to look at the most common, basic difficulties in listening to and understanding English speech. Although getting acquainted with the difficulties of listening to a speech can increase your preparedness for the confusion and misunderstandings that can occur in the learning process, we would like to draw your attention to the following difficulties mentioned by most law students.

The article deals with the problem of finding out the most effective techniques and strategies of correcting students’ mistakes in the English language teaching process. The research is aimed at the analysis of the concept “mistake” and defining its role in teaching English. It is stated, that communicative approach views mistakes as an inevitable and necessary aspect in studying a second language. Three types of mistakes have been singled out: slips, errors and attempts. It has been found out, that errors are indicators of what should be taught. It is also defined, that the main reasons of making slips are hurrying and carelessness, attempts are caused by students’ desire of achieving the communicative goal, and only errors are viewed as gaps in students’ knowledge. There also have been found out the most productive strategies of correcting mistakes by teachers. Nonetheless, according to the observation, teachers do not use all types equally often, a large number of correction cases is taken by recasts and elicitation, accounting for over a half of all feedback. It is stated, that peer correction and self-correction are not widely used, though the last should be taken into consideration by teachers as the productive and efficient strategies for successful English language acquisition.

The advancement of technology by the emergence of various websites and applications in learning English is inevitably becoming phenomena today. However, many educators especially in-service teachers in Asian secondary schools are reluctant to embody them in the process of English Language Teaching (ELT) since this problem has existed in last decade in the English speaking countries which place English as first and second language; one emerging factor might likely be the status of either x-generations or millennial generation attached to some of them in coin with digital native or digital immigrant as proposed by Marc Prensky. Therefore, this paper is supposed to explain an investigation on the view shown by both sides (pre-service and in-service English teacher). In doing so, a qualitative approach is conducted by involving five pre-service teachers and five in-service teachers in South Kalimantan. The expected finding of this research could depict the variety of chosen views towards the insight and knowledge of ELT resources whether it can be useful for the process of pedagogy in the learning process as well as their classroom instruction.

This study investigates the use of humor in teaching English in an English course in Indonesia. It aimed to find out the kinds of humor employed by the teacher and to explore the students’ perspectives toward it. This study employed a qualitative research design and focused on one English course in Makassar, Indonesia. One teacher and one class consisting of seven students were taken as respondents. Data collections relied on observation and interview. Five meetings of classroom interaction were observed and recorded. Seven students from the class were also interviewed deeply. The recordings were transcribed and analyzed based on the framework of Wanzer & Frymier (1999). Findings show that there are some kinds of humor that were employed by the teacher in teaching, namely related humor, unrelated humor, self-disparaging humor, and unplanned humor. New kinds of humor were also found namely unresponded humor and remind humor. Those kinds of humor were proved to give benefits in English language teaching process. The teacher who employed humor in teaching English made the students easy to get the knowledge. Teacher’s humor reduced tension, made the students more comfortable in the teaching-learning process, created good interactions, led to more enthusiastic teaching-learning process, encouraged students’ attendance, and reduced the number of students who felt sleepy in the class. Findings from this study provide significant input for teachers to create effective interaction between teachers and students in English language teaching in Indonesia.

Recent studies have suggested that teacher and learner beliefs about second language instruction have a significant influence on language teaching and learning process and, consequently, on students’ achievements. However, in the Mozambican context, we still do not have studies focusing on learner and teacher beliefs about students and language proficiency, about teaching materials, about individual and cultural variations and beliefs about the learning process itself. Using ques- tionnaires and a focus group report, we look at the Mozambican linguistic profile, the learner and teacher beliefs and their influence in tertiary English Language Teaching (ELT) and learning. The results show that there is a need for creating an environment in which teachers’ and learners’ cultural background, beliefs and needs are considered so as to enable teachers to teach effectively, as well as enabling learners to achieve positive learning outcomes. Learning English nowadays is a process of giving learners not just skills its also an innovative learning technique, and creative ways are needed as well. The  Information Communication Technology (ICT) device such as social media, i.e., Line provides students to explore more in learning English. This research aimed at proving social media such as Line today can be used as virtual support for English language Teaching (ELT) process of writing news item in senior high school. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted on classroom during the subject news item. In this study, the research belongs to the interpretivism paradigm or related to the explaining or understanding the meaning of a sentence or passage. The result of this research is using a virtual or electronic device not only could help students as a learner but the essential things in learning process namely teachers also need virtual to support teaching process and even virtual assessment help teachers and even students to develop learning process especially by using Line apps for writing news item.

Second language learners especially in English language need further language support in view of the fact that they operate on the performance level of language use as against competence. Achieving success in the teaching and learning of a second language such as English is determined by a number of linguistic and nonlinguistic factors such as the attitude and language skills of the learners, the teacher’s innovativeness and competence, effective teaching methods and materials such as visual, audio-visual aids and media aids to language learning. This research is motivated by the problem inherent in the traditional teaching methods which is stereotypical, boring with little active students’ engagement in the learning process, which makes knowledge transfer an arduous task. The research represents a shift in language teaching and learning - from the known traditional to a more technological mode of learning- giving way to new technologies in which the media plays a prominent role. The work adopts a qualitative methodology in assessing the role of the media in language teaching and learning both on the part of the students as well the teacher, especially in terms of self-development and innovations. It was discovered that media aids in language learning, facilitates the overall learning process and helps the teacher to transcend his limitations in areas such as pronunciation, vocabulary to be able to guide the students aright. This makes learning an ongoing process rather than a product.

The purpose of this study is to discover the issues in teaching English from the perspective of teachers. The qualitative method was employed in the study by using semi-structured interview forms to 19 teachers from a central Black Sea region province of Turkey. The teachers highlighted the impact of learning-teaching process, teacher training, teacher-stakeholder relationship and students during the study. According to the teachers, students' prejudices against foreign language learning, interest in the subject, awareness of the importance of language learning, speaking skills, participation in the lesson and the environment they take the courses affect the language learning process. Nevertheless, the reasons for the problems are a lot more complex than this. The students are also need to be supported by the education system, by the parents and by teachers in this process. For instance, the results shows that there is a need for activities that will make students more active, and more suitable environments and materials (i.e. books) are needed for English language teaching. Also, the teachers need to the support of parents, administrators, and the other teachers to become more efficient. This research once again reveals the importance of interrelation of all factors and stakeholders as well as students' willingness and thoughts in teaching English.

This article is devoted to the analysis of the current state of level teaching of the English language in schools in Kazakhstan. The introduction of the Common European Framework of References for Languages in the process of foreign language education in Kazakhstan entailed significant changes that made it possible to im-prove the quality of teaching English, bring it closer to international standards, and ensure its competitiveness at the global level. However, research has shown that in order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to take into account the awareness and opinion of teachers. This article is an exploratory study examining the application of CEFR in the English language teaching system in general education schools in Kazakhstan, with emphasis on the knowledge and opinions of teachers. The article also provides a brief overview of world experience in the practical application of the principles of CEFR in teaching English. This study used a survey for English teachers as the primary data collection method. The results of the study showed that there are difficulties at the school level that affect the final result of proficiency in English language teaching. Nevertheless, thanks to the adopted language policy, the country is undergoing a progressive development of foreign language ed-ucation and purposeful work is being carried out to ensure the quality of teaching English, which is reflected in almost all program documents for the development of education.
