The phenomenal increase in the usage of mobile devices and wireless networking tools in recent years has resulted in the communication industry needing higher data speeds for connections and bandwidth. As a result, multi-carrier modulation has been suggested as a reliable and effective method of transmitting data over difficult communication networks such as selective fading channels. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a highly effective multi-carrier technique that can meet users' high demands. Many studies have looked into this technique, mostly as a way to counteract fading and Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN). As a result, the performance evaluation of the QAM-OFDM system in the presence of multi-path Rayleigh fading in Weibull noise is examined in this article. Furthermore, bit error rate performance (BER) is computed using the optimal derivation of the real system contaminated by compound Gaussian and non-Gaussian (Weibull) noise distributions at the OFDM demodulator output. The derived result is an exact match to the simulated result over various scenarios introduced by the MATLAB software package.

Multicarrier transmission, also known as (OFDM) Orthogonal Frequency Division multiplexing, in wireless communications, it has been proven to be an essential technique for countering multipath fading. It has been used successfully for HF radio applications and has been selected as the interface for digital audio transmission, digital terrestrial TV broadcasting, and high-speed wireless local area networks in Europe. In this paper, we suggested a new design for modeling multipath fading channels, such as the Laplace fading channel, in order to discover new simulation results and effects. Furthermore, the variance of the Laplace fading channel has been computed and the new Bit Error Rate (BER) derivation is established, and the performance of (M-QAM), M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (with M=4 over OFDM system under Laplace fading channels in Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) is discussed and compared to the conventional M-QAM/OFDM system Rayleigh fading channel in AWGN. All the simulation results are examined using the optimum signal detection based on the Euclidean distance and evaluated using Monte-Carlo simulation.

In this paper, we present a study of bit error rate (BER) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing/offset quadrature phase shift keying (OFDM/OQPSK) and OFDM/offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OQAM) systems with an isotropic orthogonal transfer algorithm (IOTA) filter. The novel noise suppression method based on an IOTA filter is proposed to reduce the error of channel estimation caused by additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). The OFDM/OQPSK and OFDM/OQAM systems do not insert the guard interval (GI) and pilots in the signal frames, thus they possess transmission efficiency. An analysis was carried out for convolutional coded OFDM/OQPSK and OFDM/OQAM systems in Rayleigh fading channels with generator polynomials and constraint lengths. Compared with conventional OFDM/QPSK and OFDM/QAM systems with the insertion of comb-type pilots, the proposed IOTA filter-based channel estimation method can provide significant energy per bit to time-varying noise power spectral density ratio gains over time and frequency-selective propagation Rayleigh fading channels in OFDM/OQPSK and OFDM/OQAM systems.

This paper study the performance of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system over AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels. OFDM performs multi-carrier transmission where all the subcarriers are orthogonal to each other. The channel coding was applied to improve the OFDM system performance. Reed Solomon (RS) codes was chosen that an efficient channel coding algorithm and has intense error correction ability. Adding the benefits of multicarrier OFDM system and Reed Solomon codes to achieve the expected system performance. The coded OFDM system was modeled over and simulated using Matlab. The bit error rate (BER) and energy bit (Eb) per noise power density (No) was performed during system simulations. QPSK modulation was used to modulate the random bits. From the simulation results It can be seen that BER vs. EB/No parameter for Coded OFDM system lower than uncoded OFDM. This was because RS codes succeed to correcting the error generated along data transmission.

Phase shift keying modulation approaches are widely used in the communication industry. Differential phase shift keying (DPSK) and Offset Quadrature phase shift keying (OQPSK) schemes are chosen to be investigated is multi environment channels, where both systems are designed using MATLAB Simulink and tested. Cross talk and unity of signals generated from DPSK and OQPSK are examined using Cross-correlation and auto-correlation, respectively. In this research a proposed system included improvement in bit error rate (BER) of both systems in  the additive white Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel, by using the convolutional and block codes, by increasing the ratio of energy in the specular component to the energy in the diffuse component (k) and  the diversity order BER in the fading channels will be improved in both systems.

<p>Multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) is a multipath diversity exploring approach which is emerged with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) to produce MIMO-OFDM that is widely used in wireless communications. This paper presents a discrete Hart-ley transform (DHT) precoded MIMO-OFDM system over multipath frequency-selective fading channel with large-size quadrature amplitude modulation (16-QAM, 64-QAM and 256-QAM). A mathematical models for the BER and channel capacity over mutlipath fading channels are also derived in this paper. Average Bit-error-rate (BER) and channel capacity of the presented system is considered and compared with that of the traditional MIMO-OFDM. Simulation results shows that the transmission performance and channel capacity of the proposed schemes is better than that of the traditional MIMO-OFDM without a pre-coder.</p>

Due to its good orthogonality, slantlet transform (SLT) is used in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems to reduce intersymbol interference (ISI) and intercarrier interference (ICI). This eliminates the need for cyclic prefix (CP) and increases the spectral efficiency of the design. Finite Radon transform (FRAT) mapper has the ability to increase orthogonality of subcarriers, is nonsensitive to channel parameters variations, and has a small constellation energy compared with conventional fast-Fourier-transform- (FFT-) based OFDM. It is also able to work as a good interleaver, which significantly reduces the bit error rate (BER). In this paper both FRAT mapping technique and SLT modulator are implemented in a new design of an OFDM system. The new structure was tested and compared with conventional FFT-based OFDM, Radon transform-based OFDM, and SLT-based OFDM for additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, flat fading channel (FFC), and multipath selective fading channel (SFC). Simulation tests were generated for different channel parameters values. The obtained results showed that the proposed system has increased the spectral efficiency, reduced ISI and ICI, and improved BER performance compared with other systems.

This correspondence presents a jointly designed quasicyclic (QC) low-density parity-check (LDPC) coded-relay cooperation with joint-iterative decoding in the destination node. Firstly, a design-theoretic construction of QC-LDPC codes based on a combinatoric design approach known as optical orthogonal codes (OOC) is presented. Proposed OOC-based construction gives three classes of binary QC-LDPC codes with no length-4 cycles by utilizing some known ingredients including binary matrix dispersion of elements of finite field, incidence matrices, and circulant decomposition. Secondly, the proposed OOC-based construction gives an effective method to jointly design length-4 cycles free QC-LDPC codes for coded-relay cooperation, where sum-product algorithm- (SPA-) based joint-iterative decoding is used to decode the corrupted sequences coming from the source or relay nodes in different time frames over constituent Rayleigh fading channels. Based on the theoretical analysis and simulation results, proposed QC-LDPC coded-relay cooperations outperform their competitors under same conditions over the Rayleigh fading channel with additive white Gaussian noise.
