Introduction: The volcanic eruption of the #MeToo movement shows that the problem was there for long and was simmering on. The movement was initiated with the aim of knowing the magnitude of the problem and has now spread worldwide. The cases of the Me Too sexual wave are recent and have not yet attracted much scientific attention, though literature on sexual harassment is widely available and the psychological mechanisms implicated in this movement can be understood and examined through it. Objectives: This article aims to attract attention of the medical fraternity to update themselves of this issue which is essential for better understanding of the movement which has potentially good, bad, and ugly undercurrents. We will call attention to these aspects perusing the literature both at national and international levels. This would also be subjected to an analysis of the established concepts and principles of human psychology and behavior. Conclusion: It is amply clear that the time for sweeping things under the carpet is over and the catharsis that flooded the social media, print media, and TV just show how important it is to make the future workplace fair to both genders.

Numerous scholars have claimed that positive ethical traits such as virtues are important in human psychology and behavior. Psychologists have begun to test these claims. The scores of studies on virtue do not yet constitute a mature science of virtue because of unresolved theoretical and methods challenges. In this article, we addressed those challenges by clarifying how virtue research relates to prosocial behavior, positive psychology, and personality psychology and does not run afoul of the fact–value distinction. The STRIVE-4 (Scalar Traits that are Role sensitive, include Situation × Trait Interactions, and are related to important Values that help to constitute E udaimonia) model of virtue is proposed to help resolve the theoretical and methods problems and encourage a mature science of virtue. The model depicts virtues as empirically verifiable, acquired scalar traits that are role sensitive, involve Situation × Trait interactions, and relate to important values that partly constitute eudaimonia (human flourishing). The model also holds that virtue traits have four major components: knowledge, behavior, emotion/motivation, and disposition. Heuristically, the STRIVE-4 model suggests 26 hypotheses, which are discussed in light of extant research to indicate which aspects of the model have been assessed and which have not. Research on virtues has included survey, intensive longitudinal, informant-based, experimental, and neuroscientific methods. This discussion illustrates how the STRIVE-4 framework can unify extant research and fruitfully guide future research.

Group and team class decision-making activities often focus on demonstrating that “two heads are better than one.” Typically, students solve a problem or complete an assessment individually, then in a group. Generally, the group does better and that is what the students learn. However, if that is all such an activity conveys, then a significant teachable moment has been missed. It is often the case that a group member has one or more correct answers that the group did not use, or perhaps even outscores the group. The simple activity described here provides an opportunity to discuss a number of reasons that can cause such conformity to happen, integrating several areas of human psychology and behavior, and then segue into techniques to prevent it.

This article introduces readers to the present PCSP issue on the "adjudicated case study method." This method employs concepts from the law for evaluating qualitative information to determine the truth of statements about human psychology and behavior, including causal statements about psychotherapy outcome. Two models of the adjudicated case study method, which were originally presented in PCSP in 2011, are covered: Ronald Miller’s "Panels of Psychological Inquiry" (PPI), and Arthur Bohart’s "Research Jury Method." The issue concludes with a Commentary by Robert Elliott, Susan Stephen, and Anna Robinson.

Possibilities of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques are extensive. The techniques of neurolinguistic programming have the opportunity to help a person to modify his thinking and behavior so as to learn how to achieve the necessary goals. Separating the data from the most effective and objective elements, NLP technology is based on these models, which can be transmitted to other people and can be used in the arrangement of independent work on mathematical disciplines at the university. So, if a person has a very effective strategy for retaining information, then a developed model on its base will allow the other person to learn how to do it efficiently, too. Today, NLP is at the peak of popularity. Practically every expert in the field of human psychology is familiar with this new direction and is actively applying its methodology.

Abstract The building of a virtual environment for the construction, analysis, and design of a three dimensional virtual manufacturing prototype is discussed. An agent-based framework is used to specify the visual environment. The environment is built to be flexible enough to support research efforts in scheduling, planning, and behavior modeling. The implementation consists of a heterogeneous, distributed interactive virtual environment using the virtual environment tool, DIVE.
