AISI TYPE 410
Abstract AISI TYPE 410 is a hardenable 12% chromium stainless steel. It offers a wide range of mechanical properties and has good resistance to corrosion and oxidation. It can be hardened readily by austenitizing and air cooling. Among its many applications are knives, mechanical blades and other cutting tools for numerous corrosive environments. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness, creep, and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-73.
