The Florida Department of Transportation is in the process of developing a statistically estimated model of pedestrian quality of service for midblock street crossings as part of its Multimodal Quality of Service Program. This model is to be used in evaluating the level of service of street segments for pedestrian street crossing. The actual development of the model, including methodological issues explored, data collection, and model calibration and validation, is reported separately. A process was used to select potential determinants of perceived pedestrian quality of service for midblock street crossings. This process is structured and involves two steps. The first step involves the selection of a set of potential determinants through a theoretical analysis of pedestrian behavior for street crossing. The theoretical consideration ensures that these potential determinants have a sound behavioral foundation. The second step involves narrowing down this theoretical set through a practical analysis of planning needs and data requirements by an advisory committee. This practical consideration ensures that the final set of potential determinants and the model both are practically relevant.

WSN stands for Wireless Sensor Network it is an prefect models of the IoT or Internet of Things that gives checking administrations to catastrophic events, for example, volcanoes ejection and seismic tremor which can influence the life of person. All things considered, the QoS or Quality-of-Service it is a significant problem of the basic application so that it is adequate as well as heartiness is guaranteed. Other than this without a doubt administrations and commitments in checking frameworks, WSN's restricted assets can seriously corrupt the Quality-of-Service in the application of Internet of Things. There will be a decrease in the Quality-of-Service because of the blockage in the wireless service network in the application. For these situtations proficient utilization for the rare assets might be critical for guaranteeing consistent tramission of the information. Decreasing pace in the retransmission of the parcel that occurs due to the blockage diminishes sensor hubs power utilization. PDNC also known as Packet Discarding based Node Clustering that is a specific bundle disposing of technique is presented in this research paper. Every hubs conveyed will be bunched to a few gatherings that focuses on the zone and at once selection of a group head will be done. Parcel disposing of procedure will at that point be conveyed at every hub to diminish the quantity of bundles adding to blockage. Reenactment examination utilizing NS-2 demonstrates that the proposed method can lessen blockage along these lines improve the general execution.

This chapter focuses on presenting and describing an approach that allows the mapping of workflow processes to Grid provided services by not only taking into account the quality of service (QoS) parameters of the Grid services but also the potential business relationships of the service providers that may affect the aforementioned QoS parameters. This approach is an integral part of the QoS provisioning, since this is the only way to estimate, calculate, and conclude to the mapping of workflows and the selection of the available service types and instances in order to deliver an overall quality of service across a federation of providers. The added value of this approach lays on the fact that business relationships of the service providers are also taken into account during the mapping process.

This research aims to analyze factors affecting the satisfaction of tourists in the use of marine transportation from Bali toward Gili Trawangan. The benefits of this research useful to the company in improving the services for tourists who will use the services of a crosswalk leading to Gili Trawangan. The respondents in this research totalled 190 respondents, the selection of the sample using the method of purposive sampling, the data in this study were analyzed using the analysis factors that help by statistikal program SPSS version 17.0 for windows. The results of this study are: 1) the satisfaction of tourists in the use of sea transport in general are at a level of satisfaction. 2) there are three factors that affect the satisfaction of tourists formed i.e. factors quality of maids, the cost factor & ease factors and product quality. Quality of service factor is the most dominant factor influencing the satisfaction of travellers with variable reliability as the dominant variables, and the variable availability schedule is a variable that must be improved.

As an application of the transit quality-of-service framework presented in the first edition of the Transit Capacity and Quality of Service Manual (TCQSM), the Florida Department of Transportation required all metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) in the state where fixed-route transit service operates to analyze those services on the basis of the six measures identified in the TCQSM: service frequency, hours of service, service coverage, passenger loading, reliability (on-time performance and headway adherence), and transit versus automobile travel time. A first-year evaluation compiles the analyses provided by the participating MPOs and provides an assessment of the aggregate performance of the transit systems. A larger part of the study focused on the examination of the actual process used by the MPOs and transit systems to evaluate their services. Changes recommended to improve and refine the process for future years are presented, based on the first-time experiences of the MPOs. This evaluation serves as a model for other areas in the country interested in applying the customer-oriented assessment of transit based on the TCQSM.

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the quality of services in the field of basic education in Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. There were 11 research informants consisting of the Head of the Education and Culture Office, Head of the GTK Division of the Education and Culture Office, Head of SD Lamoahi, Head of SD Lelamo, Head of SDN Wa Ode Buri, 3 teaching staff and 3 Committee Chairs. The selection of informants was done purposively. Data were collected through observation, interviews and document studies. The data collected was then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that the quality of service in the field of basic education in Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency was not optimal. This can be seen from the 10 dimensions measured, indicating that the indicators of tangible, credibility, competent, reliable and security are not yet optimal and still require serious improvement. Meanwhile, indicators of access, courtersy, competent, responsiveness, communication, and understanding of the customer have been well fulfilled

An assessment framework for selecting optimal drilling and completion, forecasting and operating procedures in low permeability coals. Themes covered: low permeability coal drilling and production alternatives; production forecasting and operating procedures; and, economics and technical feasibilty. Arrow Energy Limited has been exploring for and producing from moderate to low permeability coals for over eight years, both in Australia and internationally. Arrow has developed a systematic approach to assessing the optimal drilling and completion, forecasting and operating procedures to evaluate the best appraisal and development options. Following the confirmation that the coal resource is of low permeability (less than 5mD) the selection of the drilling and completion strategies is inter-linked with the expected production and operating procedures. This paper summarises the approach taken by each of these discipline areas and maps out the key alternatives, data requirements and selection criteria used to recommend a production pilot in a low permeability environment. The first stage of the assessment is to review the drilling alternatives. This includes consideration of horizontal versus deviated or vertical wells, wellbore stability and solids production conditions, stimulation requirements and the production string, including artificial lift. Production forecasting is conducted with due regard to the technical alternatives screened as part of the drilling assessment. The quality of the forecast will be determined by the available data and the use of the appropriate forecasting tools ranging from analogue assessments, simple single well modelling through to 3D reservoir modelling. Finally, the production procedures appropriate for the well will be selected based on the well configuration and forecast deliverability as well as regional geology and geomechanics. This framework ensures that a consistent methodology is applied for selecting well type and operations that maximises the flow potential from our low permeability coals while ensuring due consideration to economics and technical feasibility.

Functioning of transport system is determine by the quality of service realized by infrastructure of different transport branches. In case of road transport, very important are intersections. These objects are usually a bottleneck in the network. Therefore, the correct selection of the intersection type is really important in the planning and projecting process of infrastructure. So, decision problem have to be solved by the projectors, who have an influence on these process. But the selection of the intersection type is also the multi-criteria problem. Therefore the answer on the question like, does the intersection type have an influence on environmental conditions, have been presented in the article. For this purpose, the basic assumptions of the method of selections the intersection type, and results of the measurements realized at four type of intersection located on multilane arteries, have been presented in the article.
