This paper, focusing on students of Islamic studies in public universities, was conducted to investigate the role of imaginational, intellectual, and emotional overexcitability in the creative Islamic personality. Also, the influence of self-efficacy and the creative environment on these three forms of overexcitability and the Islamic creative personality in public universities were examined. The sample comprised 396 Islamic students from 13 universities. The following instruments were used: the overexcitability (Imaginational, Intellectual, and Emotional) subscales, Creative Environmental Scale, Self-Efficacy Scale, and Islamic Creative Personality Scale. The data were analyzed through structural equation modeling. The results revealed the following: (1) Increases in intellectual and emotional overexcitability lead to the enhancement of the Islamic creative personality. (2) An enhancement in creative self-efficacy leads to the enhancement of the creative personality. (3) An enhancement in the creative environment leads to the enhancement of the Islamic creative personality. (4) Self-efficacy and the creative environment mediate the effects of intellectual and emotional overexcitability on the Islamic creative personality.  Keywords: Environmental Creativity, Overexcitability, Personal Creativity, Self-Efficacy. Abstrak Kajian terhadap pelajar-pelajar pengajian Islam universiti awam ini dijalankan untuk mengetahui peranan keterlaluan berlebihan dalam imiginasi, intelektual, dan emosi dalam keperibadian Islam  kreatif. Ia juga bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kecekapan kendiri dan persekitaran kreatif terhadap ketiga-tiga bentuk  keterlaluan berlebihan dan keperibadian Islam kreatif di universiti awam. Sampel kajian adalah terdiri daripada 396 orang pelajar pengajian Islam dari 13 buah universiti awam. Instrumen yang digunakan merupakan sub-skala keterlaluan berlebihan (Imaginational, Intellectual, and Emotional), Skala Persekitaran Kreatif, Skala kecekapan kendiri, dan Skala Keperibadian Islam kreatif. Kajian ini menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) sebagai kaedah analisis data. Hasil kajian mendapati: (1) Peningkatan kelebihan keterlaluan intelektual dan emosi menyebabkan peningkatan keperibadian Islam kreatif. (2) Peningkatan kecekapan kendiri kreatif membawa kepada peningkatan daya kreatif. (3) Peningkatan dalam persekitaran kreatif membawa kepada peningkatan keperibadian Islam kreatif. (4) Kecekapan kendiri dan persekitaran kreatif merupakan pengantara antara kesan kelebihan keterlaluan intelektual dan emosi terhadap keperibadian Islam kreatif. This study disclosed the mediating role of creative self-efficacy (CSE) between climate for creativitydimensions and creativity. The dyadic relationship between boss-subordinate is considered to assess the constructs in time lags. The study sample was drawn from 408 research and development (R&D) employees from information technology (IT) sector, Pakistan. The adopted and adapted questionnaires were utilized to collect the data. The data were analyzed through partial least squares, structural equation modeling technique through SMART PLS 3.2 software. The findingsrevealed significantly positive effects of major dimensions of climate for creativity on employees' creativity. Moreover, creative self-efficacy is proved as a mediator between various dimensions of climate for creativity and creativity except for organizational encouragement, challenging work andorganizational impediments. Thus, practical and theoretical implications are provided for academicians and managers; particularly related to IT sector and generally related to other sectors in Pakistan. This study aims to investigate the impact of parental career behaviors on undergraduate student’s career exploration and the mediating role of career self-efficacy. In the literature it is suggested that some social and individual factors facilitate students’ career exploration. Therefore, parental career behaviors and career self-efficacy is considered as predictors of student’s career exploration attitudes within the scope of the study. In this respect, data which are collected from 405 undergraduate students having an education on tourism and hotel management field by the survey method are analyzed by using the structural equation modeling. The results of the study indicate that parental career behaviors which are addressed support; interference and lack of engagement have a significant effect on student’s career exploration behaviors such as intended-systematic exploration, environment exploration and self-exploration. In addition, it has been found that one of the dimensions of parental career behaviors addressed as a lack of engagement has a significant effect on career self-efficacy levels of students. However, research results indicate that student’s career self-efficacy has a significant effect on only the self-exploration dimension. On the other hand, career self-efficacy has a partial mediating role between lack of engagement attitudes of parents and career exploration behaviors of students.

Purpose Service innovative behavior from employees helps hospitality organizations gain a competitive advantage and sustain business flourishment. Although group diversity has been demonstrated as a predictor of employee outcomes, whether group diversity in terms of extraversion and openness enhances employee service innovative behavior remains a gap. This study aims to fill this gap by developing a multilevel model of the direct relationship between group diversity in terms of extraversion and openness and employee service innovative behavior and also the mediations and moderations behind the relationship. Design/methodology/approach The authors collectd data from 44 Chinese hospitality teams. The research model was validated by multilevel structural equation modeling. Findings Results showed that both group extraversion diversity and group openness diversity fostered employee service innovative behavior via creative self-efficacy. Developmental culture strengthened the effectiveness of group openness diversity on creative self-efficacy and the effectiveness of creative self-efficacy on employee service innovative behavior. Nevertheless, developmental culture did not strengthen the effectiveness of group extraversion diversity on creative self-efficacy. Practical implications Findings suggest that managers and team leaders from hospitality organizations can elicit employee service innovative behavior through increasing group diversity in terms of extraversion and openness. Hospitality practitioners also should understand that employees’ confidence for creativity is able to channel group diversity into employee service innovative endeavors. Moreover, building developmental culture is essential for hospitality teams to strengthen the effect of group diversity on innovating services. Originality/value This study expands the diversity-innovation research through unfolding both the mediations and the moderations behind the link between group diversity in terms of extraversion and openness and employee service innovative behavior.

PurposeThe purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and employee innovative behavior and examine mediating role of affective commitment, creative self-efficacy and psychological safety in this relationship.Design/methodology/approachUsing cross-sectional research design, data were collected from 343 employees of information technology (IT) service firms in Pakistan. Partial least squares–structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique was applied to test the proposed research model.FindingsThe findings reveal that entrepreneurial leadership is strongly and positively related to employee innovative behavior. Moreover, affective commitment, creative self-efficacy and psychological safety simultaneously mediate this relationship.Practical implicationsThis study uncovers the important role of entrepreneurial leadership in driving employee innovative behavior in high-tech services industry. Findings of this study suggest that by practicing entrepreneurial behaviors, managers can enhance employees' affective commitment, creative self-efficacy and psychological safety, which invoke employees to demonstrate innovative behavior leading toward improved innovation performance at organizational level.Originality/valueThis research makes novel contribution to entrepreneurial leadership theory by using competing theoretical perspectives and subsequently providing more nuanced picture of the contrasting mechanisms that transmit the impact of entrepreneurial leadership on employee innovative behavior.

AbstractWe examined the role of task-, self- and other-approach achievement goals and enjoyment as antecedents of creative self-efficacy and the influence of creative self-efficacy on divergent thinking scores among children from Mexico. Participants completed a battery of questionnaires measuring achievement goals, creative self-efficacy, enjoyment and divergent thinking skills. We used Structural Equation Modelling to test our hypotheses, treating the variables as latent. Results showed a positive influence of other-approach achievement goals and enjoyment on creative self-efficacy. The influence of creative self-efficacy on divergent thinking scores was not significant. The implications of our results are discussed.

The purpose of this study was to provide a better understanding of the link between selforiented perfectionism and academic procrastination by examining the role of self-efficacy as a mediator in the relationship. We explored the preliminary model and the competitive model. To examine these two models, we collected the survey results of 692 college students and employed structural equation modeling. The results of this study showed that students with high self-oriented perfectionism procrastinated less than others. It was also found that self-efficacy fully, rather than partially, mediated the relationship between self-oriented perfectionism and academic procrastination. Implications of this study are discussed.

Background: Nowadays, learning is one of the most important factors in the lives of human beings. Lifelong learning and its effective variables are the topics of discussion in the contemporary era. In this regard, the present study was done to investigate the relationship between academic vitality, academic self-efficacy, and metacognitive skills, and lifelong learning concerning the mediating role of study approaches among students of Payame Noor University, Kangavar branch in the academic year 2016-2017. Methods: A random sampling method was used to select the participants. The sample size was determined to be 168 students. The required data were collected using the Academic Vitality Inventory, the Self-efficacy Scale, the Metacognition Questionnaire-30 (MCQ-30), Approaches and Study Skills Inventory for Students (ASSIST), and the Lifelong Learning Inventory. In total, 128 questionnaires were completely filled out and collected. Results: The results were analyzed using the Pearson Correlation and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using PLS and SPSS v. 20 software. The results showed that the model suitably fitted the data. The main research hypothesis was accepted at the 0.002 significance level. Academic self-efficacy, study approaches and skills, and metacognitive skills were directly correlated with lifelong learning (r=0.436, p=0.001). Conclusion: Education and emphasis on study give incentives for lifelong learning. In a normal situation, no relationship was found between lifelong learning and other factors.

Several previous studies have tested the relationship between leadership type and innovative work behavior. However, there have been only a few empirical studies examining the mediating role of creative self-efficacy on the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovative work behavior. This study was conducted to fill this gap to understand the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovative work behavior and the role of creative self-efficacy as a mediating variable for the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovative work behavior. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to 190 employees of the Astra Honda Authorized Service Station (AHASS) and analyzed using Structural equation modeling with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that entrepreneurial leadership increases the innovative work behavior of employees. Besides, entrepreneurial leadership increases creative self-efficacy and leads to increased employee innovative work behavior. This study contributes to the development of the literature by providing empirical evidence on the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovative work behavior and the role of creative self-efficacy in innovative behavior. This study confirms Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) that a person's self-efficacy will generate creative ideas in the workplace and produce innovative work. The practical implication is that leaders must provide greater opportunities for employees to develop creative ideas in the workplace to achieve an increase in innovative work behavior.

This study aims to investigate the effects of mentoring functions on undergraduate student’s career adaptabilities and career self-efficacy levels and the mediating role of career optimism. It is suggested in the literature that some factors stimulate student’s career adaptability levels. Therefore, mentoring functions, career optimism and career self-efficacy are considered as predictors of career adaptabilities within the scope of the study. Accordingly, data which are collected by the survey method from 311 undergraduate students having an education on different field such as business administration, international trade and logistics, public management and labor economics are analyzed by using the structural equation modeling. The results of the study indicate that mentoring functions, which is labeled as role modeling, have significant effects on student’s career adaptability, career optimism and career self-efficacy levels. However, it has been observed that career optimism has a significant effect on career self-efficacy and career adaptabilities. On the other hand, it is seen that career optimism has a fully mediating role between the role modeling and career adaptabilities. In addition, career optimism has a fully mediating role between role modeling and career self-efficacy.

The aim of this study is to explore the impact mechanisms of psychological learning climate on employees' innovative use of information systems (IS). Using structural equation modeling, this study develops a theoretical model to investigate how the psychological learning climate affects innovative IS use by introducing individual motivational factors as mediators. The model is tested through a survey of 163 employees using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in China. The results suggest that psychological learning climate is positively related to innovative IS use both directly and indirectly. The indirect effect works through motivating employees' intrinsic motivation and creative self-efficiency. This study adds to the literature on IS use by identifying and examining the role of psychological learning climate as a driver of innovative IS use. The findings could provide managers with an understanding of how management can inspire employees' potential in IS innovation.
