Subject China's food supply and demand. Significance China faces two food-security challenges. The first is poverty, which leaves almost one-tenth of the population still undernourished. The second is wealth, which is producing a large and growing population of increasingly affluent people demanding a more varied, protein-rich and toxin-free diet, and in many cases acquiring bad dietary habits that cause health problems. Impacts China will import more food, and acquire more farmland overseas. Direct consumption of rice and wheat will steadily decline while demand for non-staples rises, especially milk and dairy products. Sharply rising demand for meat is likely to be tempered by a government initiative to reduce meat consumption. Domestic food production will remain dominated by grain, especially cereals (rice, wheat and corn) and soya. The main burden on producers will be to provide grain for indirect purposes, above all, to supply feed for livestock.

The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the problem of food security remains and has a planetary scale. Food production of appropriate quality and quantity, at a certain price level, is one of the country's development priorities. The purpose of the article is to analyze the influence of various factors on the food security of Russia. The problem of food security can only be solved by creating a set of conditions, such as: creating a mechanism for state regulation of the industry, increasing the level of population incomes, ensuring parity of prices between agricultural and manufactured industrial products (for agricultural purposes), limiting the volume of food imports, and ensuring the agricultural sector of the economy material and technical base.

Introduction. Prospects for dairy farming from Ukraine's accession to the WTO will be formed under the influence of: implementation of WTO agreements governing the production of milk and dairy products and trade; conditions of Ukraine's membership in the WTO and concluded agreements; the current state of dairy farming and the domestic market of milk and dairy products, especially the level of competitiveness of national producers. Methods. The following methods and techniques were used to implement the tasks set in the study: monographic method – in studying the experience of countries around the world on the formation of trends in livestock, institutions and substantiation of forms and methods of state regulation of the industry in them; method of generalization – in the process of determining the substantive characteristics of economic categories and interpretations of the theoretical apparatus of the study; abstract and logical, constructive methods – during the development of directions for improving state support for the development of dairy farming. Results. Despite certain problems of harmonization of domestic legislation on milk quality to European requirements, there is a problem of developing technical regulations “Raw milk”. We believe that the technical regulations should define mandatory requirements for raw milk and technological processes of its production. The requirements of the proposed Regulation are mandatory for all economic entities engaged in the production, procurement, storage, transportation, sale and disposal of milk, regardless of ownership and subordination. Discussion. Prospects for the revival of dairy farming lie in the development of state and regional support measures, including the introduction of a mechanism for subsidies for the growth of dairy and beef cows, the introduction of grant support for family farms and the implementation of state control measures for high-quality milk production. Keywords: dairy cattle breeding, agricultural enterprise, WTO, state support, technical regulations.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the thought of food security provided in dairy products and the determinants in terms of manufacturers in South Marmara Region in Turkey. The primary data obtained from 70 dairy manufacturers were analysed by Factor Analysis and Logistic Regression Analysis. According to this, price fluctuation and increase in the distance from the place where the milk is provided, reasons such as corporatization are factors that cause the lack of food security in dairy products. On the contrary, the likelihood of providing food security in dairy products increases with the increase in financial sustainability, food safety, quantity of milk and dairy products, the ability to produce and store, the number of employees, the degree of milk use.

A statistical analysis of the consumption of basic food products by the population of the Yaroslavl region for the period from 2007 to 2018 was carried out. The assessment of food consumption was considered on the basis of descriptive indicators of statistics. Satisfaction of need for basic food products was assessed by comparing the actual consumption and the rational norm for each group of products. To assess the effect of factor indicators on the dynamics of per capita consumption of basic food products modeling was carried out using correlation-regression analysis, three models were built: a two-factor model of milk and dairy products consumption, a multifactor model of potatoes and a one-factor model of fruit consumption. The assessment of the quality of the constructed models was evaluated using the Fisher F-test, and the Student t-test was applied to assess the statistical significance of the model parameters. In all models, the observed test value is less than the actual test value, that is, hypotheses about the significance of models are accepted with an error probability of 0.05. Modeling and forecasting of the main criterion indicators of food security in the Yaroslavl region were carried out in the research. Trend models were built accomplish this, the efficacy of which was carried out on the basis of the Durbin-Watson model and precision test using the following statistical indicators: mean approximation error and mean quadratic error. For two food products – potatoes and vegetables, the optimal is the exponential model, for other products (fruits and berries, meat and meat products, milk and dairy products, as well as eggs) the parabolic trend is the best for forecasting. The selected models allow you to describe the patterns of development of the analyzed phenomenon most adequately and accurately.

The article analyzes the domestic and world methods of assessing the level of food security. The national peculiarities of food security are considered, its level in Ukraine is analyzed according to the indicators of daily energy value of human diet, consumption of different types of food per capita, food structure and food independence. The calculated indicators of adequacy of consumption for certain foods are quite low, in particular: fish and fish products; fruits, berries and grapes; milk and dairy products; meat and meat products. These indicators are evidence of an imbalance in the diet of the population, which is trying to provide their own energy needs through more affordable products. The key problem of food security in Ukraine today is the affordability of products. It is the low purchasing power of the population that in some way hinders the development of production and the economy as a whole.
