Reliance on fairness norms is a core feature of moral behavior and judgment, and is conceptually and empirically linked with basic personality dimensions. However, the specific nature of these links is poorly understood. In this study ( N = 313, 68% female), we employed a novel third-party judgment paradigm, in which participants made moral judgments of various sharing actions of virtual others. This allowed us to capture individual variation in the relative importance of several fairness norms. We correlated these norm profiles with Big Five personality traits. We observed distinct associations between agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness, and extraversion and estimates of the importance of generosity, selfishness, relative generosity, and relative selfishness norms. Comparisons of these associations at the domain- versus facet-level of personality traits suggested these relations are specific to domain-level traits. These findings are an important step toward unraveling the complex links between fairness norms and basic personality traits.

Gender studies use gender to characterize behavioral norms, personality traits, and the relative importance given to differences between the sexes in individual relationships. In the field of Classical studies, these three definitions usually converge to isolate a single gender system: the polarity between anēr (male citizen) and gunē (wife and mother), which is strictly articulated as a division between male/female. Nonetheless, a number of studies, particularly those dealing with sexuality, have demonstrated that ancient Greek societies were not systematically organized according to gender differences. These conclusions encourage researchers to examine the various points of view expressed in documents elaborated by the Greeks living on the shores of the ancient Mediterranean. Contrary to what is commonly believed, the male/female division often seems secondary to that opposing members of the community to foreigners, Greeks to Barbarians or mortals to immortals.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi perangkat lunak multimedia pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Tahapan penelitian ini meliputi perencanaan, desain dan pengembangan. Tahap perencanaan meliputi penentuan ruang lingkup, identifikasi karakteristik siswa dan pengumpulan bahan ajar. Tahap desain meliputi analisis konsep materi, pembuatan flowcharts dan storyboards. Tahap akhir yakni proses pengembangan meliputi penyiapan komponen multimedia, pembuatan program, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi terdiri atas uji alpha oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, uji beta oleh siswa dan uji sumatif melalui pretes dan postes. Multimedia pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan ini terdiri atas materi bahasa Inggris dengan topic personality traits, people dan compliments. Menurut ahli materi, media ini termasuk sangat baik dalam aspek pembelajaran dan baik dalam aspek materi. Sedangkan menurut ahli media, media ini termasuk sangat baik. Siswa yang belajar menggunakan media ini mencapai tingkat ketuntasan 70%, sedangkan yang belajar menggunakan media cetak mencapai ketuntasan 50%. THE DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIMEDIA LEARNING FOR ENGLISH SUBJECT FOR VOCATIONAL SCHOOLAbstractThis study aims to develop and evaluate software of multimedia learning for English subject for vocational students. The development steps are: plan, design and development. The plan includes determining the scope, identifying student, and gathering resources. The design includes analyzing, making flowcharts and storyboards. The development includes creating multimedia components, programming, and evaluating. The evaluation includes alpha testing, beta testing, and summative evaluation. The developed software of multimedia learning for English subjects contains topics of personality traits, people and compliments. According to a subject expert, this software is very good in aspect of learning and good in aspect of material. According to a media expert, the software quality is very good. Students who used this software reached 70% mastery learning.

Abstract.Narcissism is seen as a multidimensional construct that consists of two manifestations: grandiose and vulnerable narcissism. In order to define these two manifestations, their relationship to personality factors has increasingly become of interest. However, so far no studies have considered the relationship between different phenotypes of narcissism and personality factors in adolescents. Method: In a cross-sectional study, we examine a group of adolescents (n = 98; average age 16.77 years; 23.5 % female) with regard to the relationship between Big Five personality factors and pathological narcissism using self-report instruments. This group is compared to a group of young adults (n = 38; average age 19.69 years; 25.6 % female). Results: Grandiose narcissism is primarily related to low Agreeableness and Extraversion, vulnerable narcissism to Neuroticism. We do not find differences between adolescents and young adults concerning the relationship between grandiose and vulnerable narcissism and personality traits. Discussion: Vulnerable and grandiose narcissism can be well differentiated in adolescents, and the pattern does not show substantial differences compared to young adults.
