The result of research, conducted using our immuno-chemical testing system (Reaction of Indirect Hemaglutination) shows that application of radiation exposure to farming and agro products in dosages needed for prolongation of their storage lifetime, for prevention of rotting and germination or for decontamination of feed-stuff from natural microflora and insects; leads to increase in radiotoxins contents thereof with maximums reached on 7-15 days. Besides, traces of radiotoxins in reaction of indirect hemaglutination depend on type of product, radiation dosage and time of product storage after radiation treatment.

The varied results of radiation exposure on infusion devices suggest that additional testing should be carried out to determine the limits of dose exposure, and to raise awareness around this patient safety issue.

Abstract Aim and objectives The aim of the study is to assess the average radiation doses recorded per procedure in Ain Shams University Hospital pediatric cath lab to set benchmarks of radiation exposure in our institute. Patients and Methods The study included 198 patients who presented to Ain Shams cardiac pediatric cath lab who undergone interventional (BPV, BAV, ASD device closure, VSD device closure, PDA coil/device closure, Coarctation Stent/balloon) and diagnostic (Hemodynamics study, Diagnostic cath) heart catheterization. Radiation doses were measured without any interference with the operator’s preferences. Results Radiation dosages were measured in total AirKerma, Dose area product (DAP), and fluoroscopy time to set the benchmarks for radiation exposure in our institute per procedure. VSD device closure showed the highest radiation exposure followed by Coarctation stenting. Lowest radiation dosage was in PDA coil closure followed by ASD device closure then BPV. Conclusion Benchmarks for radiation exposure per procedure in pediatric cath lab in our institute were set and compared to each other.

CV. Baja Utama Landasan Ulin is a business entity that manufactures various products using the basic ingredients of iron. In the management of raw materials for the production of common regulatory process raw materials into sections for further processing. This setting is often done manually without doing careful planning, so that at the end of each production process there are many remaining pieces of the raw materials that should be used in production. In addition to the determination of the production is necessary to reference how the product should be made for each type of existing products. This is often an important factor that pushed for the optimization of production planning in determining the number of products for each type of product and raw material consumption.Linear Programming is one of the methods used in production planning to regulate the use of raw materials is limited. Simplex method is part of the linear programming method that can be used in the production planning system implementation. Simplex method identifies an initial basic solution and then move systematically to other basic solution that has the potential to improve the value of the objective function. The calculation result of production planning using the simplex method can be used as a reference in the decision making production planning. By building an application using the simplex method can assist in the calculation of production peencanaan more efficiently and effectively. Accuracy testing system constructed show significant results with great value reached 94% level of accuracy.
Keywords: simplex, production planning, the maximum gain, linear programming

The grits is an inorganic solid residue generated during the Kraft process by the pulp and paper industry, which presents in its composition the main ingredients of Portland cement. According to some authors, the grits can be classified as a non inert, non hazardous, granular solid industrial waste. With this in mind, a study was proposed with the objective of evaluating, initially, the applicability of grits in mortar, by means of physical and chemical testing. The physical evaluations were realized through the following tests: determination of bulk gravity saturated - surface - dry (SSD) and water absorption; determination of the pulverulent material content; and the determination of particle size distribution. To chemically test the grits, a reading of the metal concentrations present in the grits was realized as well as an analysis of the leaching and solubilization extracts. It was concluded that the addition of grits to mortar is a potential alternative.

Above ground petroleum product storage tanks are tanks or other containers that are above ground, partially buried, bunkered, or in a subterranean vault. These are built to store petroleum product for pipeline system, oilfield and refinery. Tank fires are one of the most terrible accidents in oil pipeline transportation stations. Tank fires pose a significant hazard to people, buildings, process piping, the environment and other facilities as a result of thermal radiation exposure. It is necessary and meaningful to study the distribution of the thermal radiation of a tank fire for emergency response, prevention and reducing loss. To analyze potential tank fire incidents at a pipeline station, a three-dimensional station model was built using a computational fluid dynamics (Abbreviated as CFD, is a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical methods and algorithms to solve and analyze problems that involve fluid flows) software package to evaluate the thermal radiation distribution under different conditions. Numerical simulations were carried out for a total of six simulation scenarios to analyze 3 types of potential fires for 2 different liquid products (gasoline and diesel). The three kinds of fires that were modeled included: 1) disk pool fire on top of the tank; 2) ring pool fire on the top of a tank; and 3) pool fire in a dike. The simulation evaluates the effect of the thermal radiation on facilities and people. The simulation results show that the water cooling system is effective at decreasing the magnitude of thermal radiation exposure and as a result is effective at protecting nearby tanks and facilities. Without water protection, the disk fire or ring fire can destroy or damage nearby structures significantly. The results of the simulation also show that the dike pool fire can have a catastrophic consequence to nearby facilities. Further the analysis showed that environmental wind does not change the thermal radiation distribution significantly. The results of the simulation point out countermeasure activities to enhance fire prevention at oil pipeline transportation stations in a scientific way.

Purpose: Improving the quality of radiation assessment of patients of the medical institution of the dental profile using the calculated values of effective doses. Material and methods: Using the RED-2018 and ORTO-2018 programs, the values of effective patient exposure doses for 29 medical organizations of the dental profile were calculated. The obtained values of the effective dose were compared with the values specified in the methodological recommendations MP 0100 / 1659-07-26 of February 16, 2007 “Filling of forms of federal state statistical observation 3-DOZ”. Results: The analysis showed that the doses obtained using the RED-2018 and ORTO-2018 computer programs, respectively, are 21 and 14 times lower than the doses indicated in the methodological recommendations MP 0100 / 1659-07-26. Conclusion: It is shown that the developed computer programs can be applied by a dentist practicing physician who performs an x-ray examination in order to automatically and reliably determine the patient’s dose when performing x-ray-mathematical studies in accordance with the guidelines of MU 2.6.1.2944-11 “Monitoring effective doses of patients during x-ray examinations” also used in the preparation of radiation hygienic passports of organizations and statistical form 3-DOZ. The indication of the actually calculated values of the effective dose of the patient, rather than repeatedly overestimated averages, will reduce the level of radiophobia in society.
