Recognition of Kazakh language as the state language of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, adoption of ‘State programme of functioning and development of languages for 2011–2020’, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘On languages of the Republic of Kazakhstan’, ‘The State programme on education and science development for 2016–2020’ allowed our native language to develop and prosper. Nowadays, special attention is paid to the problem of teaching the Kazakh language. In today's organised pedagogical environment, it is not fully examined the need for the development of communication skills of elementary school students and scientifically-based and practical communication to solve this problem via audio and graphic tools. Therefore, this article focuses on the need to teach elementary school students to work with audio and graphic materials and technology issues on the use of practical materials. Provided that the theoretical foundations for the development of communication skills of elementary school students through audio-visual aids hold true, the structural-substantial model will allow the development of each student’s individual abilities and creativity. Taking into account the foregoing, we have set up a positive outline of the effectiveness of the work with audio equipment through the organisation of practical work, practice-assemblage, research, diagnostics, practical work in elementary school teachers through specially organised thematic seminars

Natural Science is an elementary school subject that requires students to organize ideas and concepts about the natural world gained from experiences through a series of scientific processes such as investigating, composing, and presenting ideas.  The high complexity causes many cases of learning difficulties. This study aims to diagnose the learning difficulties that occur on 5th-grade elementary school students. The research was conducted in Muhammadiyah Pakem Elementary School, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Regency.  The subjects were 29 of 5th-grade elementary students. Data collection techniques were interviews, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were descriptive statistic as a quantitative analysis and interactive model as a qualitative analysis. The learning difficulties were diagnosed by describing the students who were identified having learning difficulties; localizing the difficulties; and determining the factors that cause learning difficulties. The results showed that the difficulties experienced by students were in basic competence 1.1-1.5 (human blood circulation organs). The average percentage of students’ learning difficulties in Basic Competence 1.1 was 48%; Basic Competence 1.2 was 51.1%; Basic Competence 1.3 was 57.6%; Basic Competence. 1.4 is 64.7%; and Basic Competence 1.5 is 53.7%. The highest percentage of learning difficulties was in Basic Competence 1.4 (identifying human circulatory organs). It was caused by the students’ low attention and motivation to learn natural science, the imprecise teaching methods, the parents’ attention, and the negative influence of mass media.

The main issues of this research are how to improve the cognitive aspects of elementary school students on the subject of simple plane through the use of hypertext. The objectives of the research are as follows: (1). Improving cognitive aspects of elementary students through Hypertext; (2). Providing Hypertext learning through a fun and inspiring computer device can inspire elementary students. The methods / approaches used in achieving the following objectives: (a). Collect students and elementary teachers involved in research; (B). Provide an overview of the research activities to be undertaken; (C). Reflecting, discussing the use of hypertext; (D). Collaborate with elementary teachers in the determination of experimental class and control class; (E). Implementation of Hypertext Study; (F). Evaluation of Hypertext Learning. The results showed that there was an increase of cognitive aspect ability of elementary school students through Hiperteks by 33%; (2). Elementary students are enthusiastic with Hypertext lessons given by teachers; (3). Collaborative occurrence between one student and another student at the time of Hypertext learning is done. Keywords: Learning, Hypertext, Cognitive

This paper analyzes statistically significant differences in some motivational and involvement in homework variables, depending on the course and the level of academic achievement. The sample consists of 535 participants of 4th, 5th and 6th Primary Education (from 9-13 years old). According to the academic performance, the results of this research indicate that students with higher academic achievement do more homework, manage better the time spent on them, perceive them more useful and even they are more motivated intrinsically toward them. Regarding the grade level, the results show that the attitude toward homework and intrinsic motivation and interest for homework decline as students advance to higher grade levels. Also as they advance, they spend more time doing homework and the time management becomes increasingly worse.

People constantly practice the act of thinking. They may not think about everything, yet they certainly think of something and make decisions. Critical thinking is a sort of reflective thinking. It is controlled and aimed at perfect thinking. It enables the self-realization of individuals in social life. Therefore, it is important to develop critical thinking at school stages and early ages. The purpose of this research was to investigate “the effect of foreign language learning activities on critical thinking skills of 4th-grade students”. To achieve this purpose, researchers tried to answer these questions: (1) What is the effect of critical thinking activities on students’ critical thinking? (2) What is the effect of critical thinking activities on students’ personal definitions of critical thinking and critical thinker? (3) What is the effect of critical thinking activities on students’ social skills? The method of this research is action research which is considered highly important for educational sciences. In the course of this research, activities for developing critical thinking skills were implemented to 4th grade students. 25 4th grade private elementary school students participated in the research. Researchers used 13-question “Critical Thinking Skill Open-ended Questionnaire” to collect data. The answers given to the open-ended questionnaire before and after the activities were analyzed using content analysis, and themes and codes were determined accordingly, thereby answers of the students are compared. It is noted that before implementation, most of the students did not have any idea about critical thinking or they thought critical thinking has a negative connotation; however, after implementation, they gained more positive and open-minded opinions about this term.
