ICT (Information and Communication Technology) has tremendous potential to help teachers and students in successful learning. Implementation of ICT-based learning, schools need to do a needs analysis, preparation of the necessary requirements, design models of learning and development. Making it easier for teachers in the use of media in teaching. The importance of instructional media for the education system is to support teaching and learning with the Internet media, computer network, or standalone computer. The success is determined by the ability of learning in a variety of things including: efforts to use the media in a learning activity as resources for learning. The process of utilization of instructional media is a decision taken by the learner (teacher) which is based on the design or the lesson plan. Therefore, the principle of utilization needs to be linked to the needs and characteristics of students. These characteristics with respect to the visual style, auditory, and kinestetika students. By utilizing computer-aided media is expected to increase student interest, so that more teachers on how to optimize the role of the teacher as a facilitator, modiator, motivator, supervisor, and evaluator AbstrakTIK (Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi) memiliki potensi yang amat besar untuk membantu guru dan siswa dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran . Implementasi pembelajaran berbasis TIK, sekolah perlu melakukan analisis kebutuhan, penyiapan kebutuhan yang diperlukan, perancangan model pembelajaran serta pengembangannya. Sehingga mempermudah guru dalam memanfaatkan media dalam pembelajaran. Pentingnya media pembelajaran bagi sistem pendidikan adalah untuk mendukung belajar mengajar dengan media Internet, jaringan komputer, maupun komputer standalone. Keberhasilan pembelajaran ditentukan oleh kemampuan dalam berbagai hal diantaranya: upaya memanfaatkan media dalam aktivitas pembelajaran sebagai sumber-sumber untuk belajar. Proses pemanfaatan media pembelajaran merupakan suatu keputusan yang diambil oleh pembelajar (guru) yang didasarkan pada desain atau rancangan pembelajaran. Resumo: No contexto educacional brasileiro, nota-se a necessidade de as aulas, tanto na Educação Básica quanto no ensino superior, incorporarem as tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC’s) bem como as mídias em geral na promoção da aprendizagem discente e na qualificação do processo de ensino, visando à melhoria dos resultados. Nesse contexto, este artigo aborda o uso de tecnologias no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de literatura no Ensino Médio com o objetivo de apontar que recursos tecnológicos como os blogs podem ser adotados no Ensino Médio para não apenas motivar os alunos a aprender e a analisar textos literários como também para ampliar o interesse discente pela aprendizagem da literatura, estreitando as relações que se estabelecem entre as aulas e as tecnologias disponíveis no espaço cibernético. Nessa reflexão, devido à sua potencialidade para interação e difusão de conhecimentos, o blog é apontado como uma ferramenta significativa para professores e alunos na abordagem da literatura enquanto instrumento propício para formação de bons leitores. Tecnologia.  Blog. USING BLOGS IN THE LITERATURE LEARNING PROCESS IN HIGH SCHOOL Abstract: In the Brazilian educational context, there is a need for classes, both in basic education and higher education, incorporate the information and communication technologies (ICTs) and the media in general in promoting student learning and qualification process education, aiming at the qualification of the process and the improvement of results. Therefore, this article discusses the use of technology in teaching and learning of literature in high school in order to point out that technological resources such as blogs can be adopted in high school to not only motivate students to learn and analyze literary texts but also to expand student interest in learning literature, strengthening relationships established between classes and technologies available in cyberspace. In this reflection, due to their potential for interaction and dissemination of knowledge, the blog appears to be a significant tool for teachers and students approach literature as an instrument suitable for the formation of good readers. Media in learning process is very intact because it will be supported from  the learning to be more easily exposed. Many experts say that with the media, it can help teachers and students in the learning process to be able and achieve the goals of the learning process. This research aimed it introducing and describing how the  preparation and utilization of the flash cards media are used by teachers in teaching English to young learners. This research was conducted at SDN Baros Mandiri 2 Cimahi. The method used in this research is the descriptive research in accordance with the case study that occurred. The source of the data was the English teacher and the subjects were the second grade students of SDN Baros Mandiri 2 Cimahi. Observation, interviews and documentation are the data collection techniques used in this research. The findings reveal that teachers use flash card media according to the material to be delivered to young learners. Based on the results of the research the flash card media can help facilitate teachers in the delivery of learning material, students are also more enthusiastic, excited and very happy to learn English and very influential in the teaching and learning process.  Keywords:  instructional media, utilization of instructional media, flash Card

This research aimed: 1) to identify the implementation of scientific approach in English teaching at SMP N 1 Gringsing, 2) to identify the problems faced by the teachers and students implementing scientific approach in English teaching, and 3) to know the teachers’ solutions of the problems. The method used in this final project is descriptive qualitative. The writer used observation sheet and documentation gotten by recording the activities, and the lesson plan of the teachers in collecting data. The result of the analysis shows: 1) the implementation of scientific approach in teaching learning process at SMP N 1 Gringsing Batang is running well, although the five steps are not working well because the time was not enough to finish all of steps of scientific approach in one meeting. 2) the problems in teaching learning process were divided into two parts.  The first was problems of the teachers. Here, the first teacher often forgot to give apperception in the opening step as stated in the lesson plan. The teachers found the students were less active in learning process of questioning step. Moreover, the teachers gave same instruction in exploring and associating step by giving same questions but different pattern (written and orally). Then, the teachers were lack in the media of teaching learning process, so it made students bored. The second was problems faced by the students that they were being nervous, afraid, or ashamed if they made a mistake in arranging the question or sentence, and show their work. Sometimes they felt difficult when they found new vocabularies. 3) there were some solutions made by the teachers to solve the problems. They corrected the students’ pronunciation and wrong sentence. The teachers let students to open their dictionary to find the meaning of difficult words. Furthermore, they gave motivation to the students that they should be more active in the teaching and learning process. In addition, the teachers gave punishment by giving questions to students who did not focus in learning process and the students were asked to write what they had learnt on that day in “My Journal”. It was to know the students’ development. Finally, the teachers should improve the techniques in learning process, so the students can receive the material easily.

Abstract   The objective of this research is to find out the use of Whatsapp Messenger as a mobile media to learn writing in EFL classes.Several researchers have attempted to prove applicability of mobile learning as modern ways of teaching and learning (Naismith, 2004:115). Moreover, applying portable technologies have been demanded by most of the modern learners who oftentimes are forced to study anywhere, and anytime, for example, at work, in the bus or at weekends (Evans, 2008:115).The research was motivated by the students’ difficulties in writing. The sample of this research was three classes of first grade students of English Department of Unswagati. The instrument of this research was questionnaire sheet. Data from questionnaire sheet was analyzed based on the frequency students’ answers and then was calculated and interpreted into percentages. The result shows WhatsApp Messenger attracts the students interest and also the students have positive responses towards the using ofWhatsAppMessenger. In applying WhatsApp group, the writer concluded that, learning using WhatsApp group has effective to develop their creativity in writing skill. On the other hand, the result from the questionnaire sheet indicated that almost of students is active in learning to writing recount text. Students can learn out of the classroom. Beside WhatsApp can be used privately, it can be used for students’ education. The students can use their gadget positively for their ability in learning English. The students can improve their knowledge in learning ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies). <p><strong>Abstract.</strong> Learning media is a teaching and learning process that tends to be interpreted as graphical, photographic, or electronic tools to capture, process, and reconstruct visual or verbal information. Crosswords are a kind of word play. The learning media developed to facilitate teachers and students in the process of learning and teaching at Junior High School grade VIII. The purpose of this study was to prodice <em>puzzle </em>learning media by crossword <em>puzzle</em> and feasible to be developed as rearning media on human eireulatory system material. Based on the results of the observations that have been carried out, the teacher only uses descourse and less varied learning  which makes students bored in learning. The method used in this study is the research and development (R &amp; D), by ADDIE method, the researcher produced a crossword puzzle and its feasibility will be tested. The results of the study after the media were tested on the validator of media experts and material experts got a very decent category. The results of the research from the science teacher, get a very feasible assessment to be developed. The results of research on peer review get a very feasible category to be tested. And the results obtained during the trial of students with trials of small groups, middle groups and large groups led to a very decent category. To we it can be concluded that, puzzle learning media by crossword puzzles is very feasible to develop.</p><p><strong>Keywords:</strong> Puzzle learning media, crossword puzzles</p>

This research analyzed several related studies focusing on instructional media or learning materials and speaking learning that emphasized the development of the media for the learning activity. Employing a meta-analysis method, this research explored several national journal articles. Meta-analysis was a quantitative study, given its characteristics utilize statistical calculation for a practical purpose, i.e., arranging and extracting information from many data where the process could not be performed using other methods. This meta-analysis research was aimed at identifying the validity level of each data collection. Based on the results, the research concludes that instructional media development for learning speaking activities will be effective if the media are applied in universities. From the perspective of learning materials, the media will be helpful if all of the contents are applied in a book used for the learning process. This is because the teacher’s book summarized everything that a teacher needed for the class, thus allowing successful and directed learning stages and more accurate accomplishment of learning objectives. From the aspect of learning, the speaking skills should focus on the types of conversation, concerning the basic level of speaking proficiency in a foreign language learning is more efficacious than the skills needed in a conversation.

In the implementation of learning activities that occur at SD Plus Pesantren Al-Anwar, problems when implementing learning activities, among others, are the media used are not supportive, teachers use learning resources in the form of books and have not used certain learning media. This is the cause of students tend to be passive in learning activities. When learning theme 3 sub-theme 2 learning 2 in class IV the teacher uses image media in teaching and learning activities, making students less understanding of the material. As a result, students are less interested in teaching and learning activities. This research was conducted in class IV, which consisted of 20 students. In the development research that has been carried out, it is expected to be able to provide a good influence for students, the Fun Thinkers book media is to foster student learning activities and achievements and must use media that can foster student interest in learning so that they are enthusiastic in undergoing the learning process. Research using the ADDIE model which passes through 5 stages.
