From many kinds of investment in Indonesian capital markets, a mutual fund is one of the instrument to be discussed. Within a short time, the mutual fund gives a significant influence to the Indonesian capital markets. A mutual fund is one of the alternatives for the investors, especially for small investors or for the investor that does not want to meet high risk. In the growing of Indonesian capital markets, the net asset value (NAV) of the mutual fund should be increasing, and the increase of the NAV proves it. The sharia equity fund is no different. As an alternative investment, the sharia mutual fund in Indonesia is growing; however, it does not seem attractive to the investor, reflected by the small weighting from the mutual fund industry. The reason why investors are reluctant to invest in sharia equity fund is the volatility, compared to the conventional equity fund. To guide investors and to attract investment in sharia equity funds, some indicators can be used, such as PER, PBR and PSR. This study will use these indicators as the independent variables: PER (X1), PBR (X2) and PSR (X3) on the Net Asset Value (NAV) as the dependent variable (Y)  in sharia equity fund using the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) data. In this research, the researcher uses a quantitative method using secondary data. The results show that there is a significant influence of PER, PBV and PSR on NAV in sharia equity funds. As a consequence, PER, PBR and PSR can guide investors’ decisions to invest in sharia mutual fund.   Keywords: PER, PBR, PSR, NAV, sharia mutual fund

The present study also constitutes a modest attempt to assess the information ratio and its causal effect on the average yearly return of Net Asset Value (NAV). Based on the previous research findings, this paper puts an honest effort to identify twelve independent variables which affects significantly the performance of NAV. The evaluation relies on the Sharpe, Trenor and Jensen’s technique, which have been applied in conjunction with parametric and non-parametric statistical tools using. The result shows significant relationship exists between the NAV return and fund’s risk, information ratio, macro-economic variables such as inflation, interest rates, market index performance, foreign flow of funds and foreign exchange on the basis of regression analysis.

This study provides evidence that value and stocks’ growth able to explain Net Asset Value of Shariah Mutual Fund. It is important for investment managers and investors to estimate future profit or loss that may happen on their mutual funds prior they venture into the investment platform. This study therefore is conducted to prove that factors including value and growth may affect the future profit of Shariah Mutual Funds. Based on quantitative analysis with secondary data from companies indexed in the Jakarta Islamic Index and Sharia Mutual Fund from year 2013 to 2017, it is found that both growth and value of stock have equally affected the profit of Sharia Mutual Funds. In addition, growth of stock has a larger R-Square than its value which means that the investors or fund managers would need to observe the stock growth more often than its value in order to predict future profitability of Shariah funds.  It is expected that the results of this study can provide additional insight to investment managers when choosing a portfolio for investors. For investors, this information is useful to predict the risk and return that they will receive from the investment.

This research purposed to examine the effect of inflation, BI 7 Days Repo Rate (BI7DRR), and Jakarta Composite Index on the net asset value of sharia mutual fund. The method used is the descriptive and derivative method with a quantitative approach, with multiple linear regression analysis to find the relationship between the variables. This study uses purposive sampling as the sampling technique, which is the sharia mutual fund registered in the Financial Services Authority of Indonesia. This research observed the variables in the period of 2016 to 2020 with monthly time series from secondary data. The findings result that partially, inflation has significant effect with negative direction on the net asset value of sharia mutual fund, while the BI7DRR and Jakarta Composite Index has insiginificant impact on the net asset value of sharia mutual fund. This result shows the investment behavior by investor where the inflation rate becomes a consideration whether to put their fund in investment, especially sharia mutual fund or more concern on their consumption. On the other side, the value of BI7DRR and the Jakarta Composite Index does not become investor’s consideration to investing in sharia mutual fund. For simultaneous effect, inflation, BI7DRR, and Jakarta Composite Index have a significant effect on the net asset value of sharia mutual fund for 66%, which shows that the combined economic situation consisting of these factors can affect the movement of the net asset value of sharia mutual fund with a possibility of 66%, while 34% of the possibility left can be affected by variables outside this research.

In the period between 2010 and the end of 2018, sharia products, especially sukuk in the Indonesian capital market, have shown quite good development. Total funds under management of sharia mutual funds, or better known as the Net Asset Value (NAV), are recorded at Rp 34.5 trillion. This figure is up by 21.8% compared to 2017. The NAV reflects 6.82% of the total conventional and sharia mutual fund NAV. While the number of Islamic mutual funds that have been circulating in the public, there were 224 mutual funds. This figure increased by 23.1% compared to 2017. The number also reflects 10.7% of the total conventional and sharia mutual funds that have been circulating in public (OJK data sources for 2017 and 2018). In that period, the issuance of sukuk was conducted 104 times by 22 issuers and / or public companies with a total sukuk issuance value of Rp 22 trillion or equivalent to 10.5% of the total bond issuance value. The still low total sukuk issuance value compared to the total bond issuance value shows that there are other factors that influence Issuers / PP's interest in issuing sukuk in addition to regulatory factors related to Islamic capital markets which have had a positive influence on the development of Islamic capital markets, especially sukuk
