Organizations are always concerned with the behavior of employees. The loyal and positive behavior of employees results in maximum output. It is generally observed that sometimes unwanted response from the employer nourishes the internal anger to the employee. The researchers have conclusively described that such unexpected reaction directly impacts the thinking of an individual causing anxiety and uneasiness in behavior. It gradually becomes a reason for many unwanted incidences by violation of legal and ethical policies. It also affects his interaction with his employer, colleagues, and the property at work place accordingly. Unfortunately, it cannot be denied that extensive research has been done in Psychiatry on finding numerous therapies to treat such kinds of behaviors. However, it is also evident that religion has always had strong effects on human psychology. The faith is directly connected with the will of an individual. Therefore, if an anxious employee is recommended to take guidance from the teachings of the Holy Qur’ān, it will certainly help him to overcome his psychological issues. This research is based upon the possible reasons of irregular behavior, its effects on the workplace environment, and how the teachings of the Holy Qur’ān can be used to rehabilitate affected employees.

Abstract What is health? This question figures prominently in several ethical, medicinal and (health-)psychological issues. Against this background the paper investigates the definition and the understanding of health in Karl Barth‘s dogmatics in its theological framework. The reconstruction provides a model of health, which allows treating contemporary issues, because it presents a dynamic and relational model with several dimensions, including the dimension of will. The will to health, though depending on somatic, psychic and social conditions, plays an important role in handling with diseases, in living with imperfections and in supporting healthy lifestyle and preventive measures. This will must be interpreted as the will and the power to be a human being with its gifts and limits

Nowadays people spend most of their time inside an enveloped building, their thoughts molded by the walls. In the eagerness of running with time the capitalist minds have forced humans to live like a machine which has resulted in much distress and mental tension as a part and parcel. So today, an average office worker has less productivity at the workplace and he/she comes home carrying the burden of work, which can hypothetically be improved by designing better spaces. Good architecture can heal a person and develop positive attributes in him/her. To be an architect with moral values, one must have deep appreciation of a human lifestyle and its capacity to adapt from its surroundings. This paper focuses on workplace environment and spaces in Karachi, considering the question how different spaces influence cognition? And is there an ideal architectural space for various kinds of thinking? The paper considers antiquity of the architectural determinism as a theory, and works upon the attributes which can diverge and positively enhance architectural perseverance through the review of archival data, articles, books and historical reference with support of questionnaires. The conclusion points towards the need of architecture to be developed into not just an envelope, but as a space which shapes the behavior, attribute and positivity of its users. Keywords: Architecture and behaviours, Cognitive architecture, work place environment.

Industrial microwave heating technology has emerged as a new ceramic processing technique. The unique advantages of fast sintering, high density, and improved materials properties makes it superior in certain respects to other processing methods. This work presents the structure characterization of a microwave sintered ceramic matrix composite.Commercial α-alumina powder A-16 (Alcoa) is chosen as the matrix material, β-silicon carbide whiskers (Third Millennium Technologies, Inc.) are used as the reinforcing element. The green samples consisted of 90 vol% Al2O3 powder and 10 vol% ultrasonically-dispersed SiC whiskers. The powder mixture is blended together, and then uniaxially pressed into a cylindrical pellet under a pressure of 230 MPa, which yields a 52% green density. The sintering experiments are carried out using an industry microwave system (Gober, Model S6F) which generates microwave radiation at 2.45 GHz with a maximum output power of 6 kW. The composites are sintered at two different temperatures (1550°C and 1650°C) with various isothermal processing time intervals ranging from 10 to 20 min.

The Audiokinetron is a device that processes music for earphone presentation to patients undergoing auditory integration training, a treatment for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Intensity levels produced by the Audiokinetron were measured under realistic listening conditions with a KEMAR manikin substituted for a patient. Average levels at the eardrum were 110 dB SPL when the device was adjusted to the highest setting employed by a local, trained AIT practitioner and 118 dB SPL at the maximum setting of the device. These levels are potentially harmful to hearing and warrant further safety studies of AIT instruments and protocols.

Abstract. A broad range of literature reported higher rates of psychopathology and personality disorders among patients affected by skin conditions. Specifically, depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations are more frequently reported by patients affected by skin diseases. This study aimed to examine psychopathology and personality in a group of patients affected by psoriasis by means of a self-report measure (Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory – MCMI-III) and a performance-based technique (Wartegg Drawing Completion Test [WDCT], CWS). Study results showed a higher rate of passive-aggressiveness and paranoia among psoriatic patients (MCMI-III). When assessing patients through the performance-based technique (WDCT, CWS), a higher rate of global rejection (GR) – linked by previous literature to suicidal ideation – and a lower affective quality of the drawings emerged. We discuss the clinical importance of detecting psychological issues in dermatology patients by means of a multimethod assessment that goes beyond patients’ self-evaluation of their symptoms and emotions.
