The aim of this research is to focus on higher education organizations, those usually aspire to reform the educational system. This is because of the need to adapt to the new constantly changing requirements of society. The way is by raising the quality and efficiency of education in the university system to meet international standards. The reform must take into account the effectiveness and quality of education, compatible with global system, and must enable graduates to integrate easily into the modern labor market. As the knowledge is being the critical factor to the survival and sustainability of the organization, knowledge management processes have become an important productive component for the continuous flow of contemporary managerial concepts. Universities should also be prepared to work in the competitive education market, assuming greater administrative self-independence, flexible regulatory framework and adequate funding. Today higher education institutions require more openness and transparency, and directing researches into how public institutions perform at the higher education level, which affect the performance management of these institutions.Emphasis was placed, on the extent, to the contribution of knowledge management processes and their role to fulfill the quality of university education. The matter, which significantly stimulated the university's potential concerns in terms of the difficulty of preparing students for life and work. The expansion of higher education in the outside world took a completely different direction due to the intense competition and the emergence of Open Universities and the Internet revolution while this education remains self-sustaining. Moreover, the increase in the number of colleges and students has led to increased problems of quality control in education. This is a major and important issue faced by universities The analytical approach was used to analyze the information collected by the questionnaire, which was designed to take into account the spectroscopic and analytical clarity in the diagnosis of the dimensions of the research, its components and the measurement mechanism. In the applied side, the logic architecture (fuzzy logic) was adopted in the process of examining the level of knowledge management processes to achieve the quality of learning. The study population was divided into all sections of the institute. A sample of 50 teachers was selected and all data were subjected to statistical analysis using a package ( SPSS ). Conclusions have been reached, most notably are in determining the level of the actualmembership function of the application of knowledge management processes to achieve the quality of university learning, taking into account the necessary requirements for the implementation of these processes, including training, administrative, organizational, incentive and technology. A number of proposals were put forward to all Iraqi administrations, including the (knowledge-driven) organization. One of the most important of these proposals is to generate the conviction of university officials that quality management and its applications are necessary and decisive for the university's continuity, growth and development by improving the quality of its performance and generating the ability to meet the challenges that may arise in the future. The application of knowledge management processes through the trend towards the adoption of programs and modern quantitative methods in the interpretation of theoretical reality and starting through it to reflect the practical reality and practical.

With digital transformation and progress in science, developing process capabilities with limited resources has gained immense importance for higher education institutions. To provide the highest quality education services and manage the information and knowledge management processes, appropriate strategies, and related key performance management factors must be defined efficiently. In the literature, numerous models and tools have been proposed to measure knowledge management capabilities (Mohapatra et al., 2016; Imran et al., 2017; Dayan et al., 2017; Trivella et al., 2015). This chapter aims to develop a better understanding of the relationship between knowledge management processes and propose an assessment model of knowledge management system for higher education institutions to measure knowledge resources and their capabilities. To do so, the knowledge management system is identified by four main attributes (People, Processes, Technology and Culture) and each attribute is comprehensively analysed in a dedicated section.

In order to maximize the true advantage of e-learning, many higher education organizations have invested strongly in knowledge management. Yet the effect on the efficiency of e-learning of these investments remains ambiguous. The purpose of the research was therefore to determine the influence of knowledge management processes on the efficiency of e-learning in northern Jordanian private universities. The findings showed that knowledge management procedures have considerably impaired the capacity to meet the goals, excellence and quality of schooling using 101 answers by faculty members in four private colleges in the north area of Jordan. This suggests that procedures in knowledge management affect private universities ' ability to attain e-learning efficiency. In view of this research, universities should deliver the technologies they need for efficient management of their knowledge management processes and e-learning system. Universities are also to generate and share knowledge with others in a stimulating, promoting, and supportive culture.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine knowledge management interrelationships in higher education institutions and to assess the impact of the university’s culture on knowledge management processes: creation, dissemination, exchange and application. Design/methodology/approach The proposed model establishes the relationships between organizational culture (OC) and knowledge management processes in a single framework. The study used the organizational culture assessment instrument to determine the culture type and used structural equation modeling to assess the underlying relationships between knowledge management process and OC. Findings The results of the factor analysis used in this study suggest that adhocracy organizational culture, in which an organization is characterized by emphasis on individual initiative and employee empowerment, may not necessarily affect all knowledge management processes equally. In particular, an organization’s culture principally influences the knowledge creation process, followed by knowledge exchange, in a public university setting. Originality/value The study provides a comprehensive outlook on the effect of adhocracy culture in higher education on the knowledge management process through the lens of one cultural context. In addition, this is the first study that explores the OC effect on knowledge management process in a Saudi public university.

Grounded on the Knowledge Based View (KBV), this study examines the effects of a knowledge management enabler (Emotional Intelligence) on knowledge management processes (KMPs) in research universities. It investigates the direct effect of KMPs on creative performance. This study further examines the mediating role of Self-directed Learning in a relationship between KMPs and creative performance. This study used a sample frame of 248 academic and administrative personnel from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Pakistan. The relationships were tested through a partial least squares structural equation modelling method. The results reveal that Emotional Intelligence (EI) as an enabler has a positive and significant impact on KMPs. However, a direct relation between self-directed learning and creative performance is insignificant. Also, established associations were found to be positive and significant. This study’s findings validate the academic experience of EI and suggest how academics and administrators of HEIs can value KMPs and the self-directed learning that strengthens creative performance. With the increased importance of EI and KMPs in HEIs, there is a lack of studies investigating the relationship between EI, KMPs and creative performance. This study empirically examines the interface of EI, KMPs and creative performance in HEI’s and enriches the existing literature by exploring the mediating role of self-directed learning.

PurposeConstructed upon knowledge-based view, the study examines the influence of internal marketing on knowledge management processes and the indirect association of knowledge management processes with organizational performance through mediating role of knowledge worker satisfaction.Design/methodology/approachThis study used a sample frame of 536 academic and administrative employees from higher education institutions in China; structural equation modeling was performed using Smart PLS 3.2.8.FindingsThe outcome reveals that internal marketing has a significant impact on knowledge management processes. The results revealed a direct insignificant impact of knowledge management processes on organizational performance; the study found full mediation of knowledge worker satisfaction on the linkage between knowledge management processes and organizational performance.Practical implicationsOutcomes of this research strengthen the universities’ experience of knowledge management and recommend how academics and administrators of higher education institute can value knowledge worker satisfaction, which in turn improves organizational performance.Originality/valueAlthough, there is an increased significance of knowledge management in higher education institutions, there is a lack of research that examines the enabling factors and outcomes of knowledge management practices. The present study is one of the first studies to ascertain the relationship of internal marketing, knowledge management processes, knowledge worker satisfaction and organizational performance. This is one of the initial research studies that not only empirically examines the interrelationships among these variables but also enlightens insights into the current literature by instantaneous investigation of the mediating role of knowledge worker satisfaction.

Purpose Constructed upon the knowledge-based view, the purpose of this study is to investigate the interrelationship between internal marketing, knowledge management processes and knowledge worker satisfaction. The study also postulates that specific combinations of internal marketing dimensions and knowledge management processes can lead to improved knowledge worker satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach The study sample is gathered from 248 personnel of Pakistan higher education institutions (HEI’s). The interrelationships are checked through Smart PLS 3.2.8. The fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) is used to examine configurational paths for improving knowledge worker satisfaction. Findings The results of the study show that in HEI’s, internal marketing has a substantial influence on knowledge management processes, and knowledge management processes strongly enhance knowledge worker satisfaction. The result from fsQCA reveals multiple configurational paths to improve knowledge worker satisfaction. Originality/value There is a scarcity of research that has explored the association of internal marketing, knowledge management processes and knowledge worker satisfaction. This study attempts to examine their inter-relationships in HEI’s. Methodologically, the study contributes by combining direct and configurational methods to foster the knowledge of organizational (higher education) matters. The use of fsQCA reveals multiple pathways to improve knowledge worker satisfaction and exposes asymmetric relationships between internal marketing and knowledge management processes that lead to knowledge worker satisfaction. The study identifies the interactions among variables that might not be directly obvious via conventional symmetric methods.
