Abstract Sustainability of winter wheat yield under dryland conditions depends on Improvements in crop photosynthetic characteristics and, crop yield. Study the effects of sowing method and N-nitrogen rates on yield, selected sowing, and soil water storage, nitrogen translocation. Experiment comprised of three sowing methods: wide-space sowing (WSS), furrow sowing (FS), and drill sowing (DS) and seven nitrogen treatments: 0 kg ha− 1, 90 kg ha− 1, 180 kg ha− 1, 210 kg ha− 1, 240 kg ha− 1, 270 kg ha− 1 and 300 kg ha− 1.The results indicated that the sowing methods significantly affected the yield, and grain. The increase in grain yield was 25%, respectively. The photosynthetic traits, and leaf area index were highest under WS followed by FS. The plant height was highest under DS. I (WSS), and (II) (DS). Sowing method WSS with N level N240 significantly enhanced the Photosynthesis Rate, intercellular CO2, and transpiration rate .Our results indicated that implication of a proper sowing method coupled with enhanced nitrogen doses resulted in an increase in yield. WSS 240 kg ha− 1 enhances photosynthetic characteristics of flag leaves, and promotes to achieve high yield. The plants were improved, which ware beneficial to the improvement of sugar content.

The production of quality products and their efficiency is a pressing issue today. The solution of which is inextricably linked to the introduction of new varieties with a high content of antioxidants, pectins, which have healing and preventive properties. To conduct research in 2016 - 2018 at the L.P. Symyrenko experimental station IS NAAN the following varieties of cherry fruits were selected: Alpha, Zhadan, Chance, Elegant, Artemenko Memory, Optimist, Podbelskaya. The cherry was harvested in the consumer stage of ripeness during the first decade of July. According to the complex of physicochemical and organoleptic parameters, the selection of the best variety of cherry fruits was performed by the method of multicriteria optimization. The aim of the work was, on the basis of a comparative analysis of a set of physicochemical and organoleptic indicators of cherry fruits, using multicriteria optimization, to determine the best varieties recommended for production. The results of studies showed that the weight of cherry fruits ranged from 4,2 to 5,2 g. The content of soluble solids in cherry fruits was at the level of 15,26–15,89% and was predominant for cherries in Artemenko memory and the lowest in Podbelska variety. The sugar content of cherry fruits was 10,14 −10,96%. The level of titratable acids that determine the taste of cherry fruits together with the gourds is in the range from 1,67 to 2,02%. It is the highest for cherry fruits of the Artemenko memory, and the lowest for the Elegant variety. The cherry fruits of the experimental varieties have a significant content of ascorbic acid − 19,15−16,25 mg/100 g. The cherries of the Artemenko memory, and the lowest of the Optimist variety, prevail in the fruits. The tasting rating of cherry fruits is 8−8,7 points. According to the complex of the mentioned above physicochemical and organoleptic indicators by the method of multicriteria optimization such varieties of cherry fruits as Artemenko Memory, Alpha and Zhadana are recommended for production implementation

Is it possible to characterize the types of honey based on their chemical composition, their content of bioactive substances, and their physicochemical properties? The objective of this study was a comparative analysis of four types of honey from the Carpathian Foothills area, located in south-east Poland, based on the content of the main phenolic acids and proline, the mineral composition, and selected physicochemical properties. Most analyses, such as those of phenolic acids, sugars, and proline content, in honey samples were performed using chromatographic methods. These experiments demonstrated that honeydew honeys were the richest in phenolic acids, minerals, as well as oligosaccharides, compared to other honeys. Dark-colored honeys were characterized by the highest proline content. The dominant elements in all types of honey were potassium and calcium. The results of the present study show that analyses of specific phenolic acids, minerals, proline, and sugar content, in combination with chemometrics analysis, may successfully differentiate between the biological origins of honey samples and allow the preliminary verification of the samples before performing time-consuming pollen analysis.
