This study is a development research that aims (a) to produce valid and practical Guided Discovery learning to improve the ability of reflective thinking, and (b) to determine the effectiveness of Guided Discovery learning to improve the ability to think reflective.  This research is a Research and Development (R & D). The research subjects were seventh grade students of SMP Paramarta 1 Seputih Banyak in the academic yearof 2018 / 2019. The instruments used are observation sheets, interview sheets, validity assessment instruments, trial sheets, and reflective thinking test instruments. The results of this study are (a) Guided Discovery learning has valid and practical criteria and (b) Average N-Gain scores mathematically reflective thinking of students after given Guided Discovery learning bigger than the average N-Gain score of mathematical reflective thinking skills of students who following conventional learning. Suggestions for developing Guided Discovery learning as an alternative to improve the ability of mathematical reflective thinking in junior high school students.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir kritis matematis dan mengidentifikasi tingkat berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran discovery pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 6 orang siswa yang diambil dari 37 siswa kelas VII-E MTsN 3 Aceh Barat yang dipilih berdasarkan kemampuan awal matematikanya. Instrumen penelitian meliputi peneliti, tes berpikir kritis, dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari tes berpikir kritis dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam aktivitas penyelesaian masalah siswa lebih banyak melakukan proses specializing dan generalizing. Siswa telah mampu mengidentifikasi masalah yang disajikan serta menyusun langkah penyelesaian yang mungkin untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut, namun pada proses conjecturing dan convincing, siswa masih perlu dilatih untuk menganalogikan masalah serta menyelesaikan masalah dengan cara yang beragam. Temuan penelitian ini dapat digunakan guru untuk merancang pembelajaran matematika yang melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kritis.The process of mathematical critical thinking of junior high school students through discovery learning AbstractThis study aimed to describe the process of mathematical critical thinking of students who were given discovery learning in mathematics learning. This study was classified as qualitative research. The research subjects were 6 students drawn from 37 students of class VII-E MTsN 3 Aceh Barat, Indonesia, and selected based on their initial mathematical abilities. The research instruments included researchers, critical thinking test, and interview guidelines. The data collection was carried out by giving a critical thinking test conducted after discovery learning and interviewing the research subjects after completing the test. The data in this study were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that in solving problems, students were more dominant in the process of specializing and generalizing. Students have been able to identify the problem presented and arrange possible steps for solving the problem, but in the process of conjecturing and convincing, students still need to be trained in analogizing problems and solving problems in a variety of ways. The findings of this study could be used by teachers to design mathematics learning that exercises critical thinking skills.

The reality found in school showed that the teaching and learning experiences were dominated by the use of the Direct Instruction model and there were no activities to facilitate students to think criticaly. Thus, it is necessary to develop  guided discovery learning materials to overcome it. The one group pretest-posttest design was used as a the research design involving 30 Junior High School students. The data were analyzed through descriptive qualitative technique. The results showed that students’ activities were consistent with each stage of the guided discovery learning, students’ responses were good, and N-gain test informed that the students’ learning outcome and their  capability  to use  critical  thinking  skills  increased.  Based  on  those  findings,  it  can  be  concluded  that  the  guided  discovery instructional materials were effective to facilitate Junior High School students by think critically.Kenyataan di sekolah metode pembelajaran yang digunakan lebih berorientasi pada Direct Instruction dan belum  tersedia    perangkat  pembelajaran yang  dapat  melatih  keterampilan  berpikir  kritis  siswa  sehingga  perlu dikembangkan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada penemuan terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis kepada siswa SMP. Rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design dengan subyek 30 orang siswa SMP. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahapan penemuan terbimbing, respon siswa baik, uji N Gain menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis serta pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing, pokok bahasan peran manusia dalam pengelolaan lingkungan efektif untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP.

This research aims develop weblog media about environmental contamination material to determine the reflective thinking skills of junior high school students. The development of a weblog as a learning medium used the ADDIE model. In this research up to the development phase. The weblog design has gone through the validation phase. The validation was performed by 4 validators using a validation sheet. Student responses were collected using a questionnaire and reflective thinking skills using multiple choice test. The developed weblog has been tested on 20 students of 8th grade. The results showed that the use of blogging media positively impacted students' reflective thinking skills, given the increase in mean pre-test and post-test scores from a score of 69.5 to 82. The increase in reflective thinking skills was seen in of the three indicators of reflective thinking, namely reacting from 79% to 81,5% in high category, elaborating from 50% in low category to 75% in high category and contemplating from 67% in normal category to 78,4% in high category. The use of blogging media to reinforce thinking skills is also supported by the results of student responses with an average result of 92,8% for aspects of reflective thinking.

The purpose of this study was to develop an assessment instrument to measure creative thinking skills of junior high school students on integrated science of atom, ion, and molecules material. The instrument consists of a number of questions that require creative thinking skills and rubric assessment about material of atoms, ions, and molecules for junior high school students. The results of the experts validation and trials at small and large groups indicate that the product is appropriate and effective to be tested in the field. Assessment instruments were developed to help teachers identify the creative thinking skills of junior high school students on atoms, ions, and molecules.

The purpose of this research was to produce a student activity sheet based guided discovery me-thod to improve understanding of the mathematical concept of junior high school students, determine the effectiveness and increase the ability of understanding mathematical concepts that students use the worksheet-based method of guided discovery. The method used was the development of research de-velopment model 4-D, that was define, design, develop and disseminate. The research was conducted in SMP Islam Kepenuhan of Rokan Hulu Riau with research subjects grade VIIIA. Student activity sheet and research instruments validated to the experts, then conducted limited field trial, resulting in the final and disseminate is the use of student activity sheet that has been developed on a broader scale, to subject teachers school math test field try to use this device. The results of the implementation of the trials showed Student Activity Sheet effective to use, as shown by an increase in the ability of students' understanding of the concept, where students in classical completeness there are 30 students who reached the KKM ≥ 70 ie 83.33% of the proceeds from the pretest posttest whereas only 23 those students who completed ie 63.88%, further capabilities increase student understanding of the concept of before and after learning that the average pretest results and the ability of understanding the con-cept 69.84 average yield of 81.35 posttest understanding of the concept. Based on the analysis of data, it is advisable to use a math teacher to student activity sheet based methods guided discovery learning.

The purpose of this study was to describe the creative thinking skills of junior high school students based on mathematics anxiety and gender. Aspects of creative thinking skills used in this study are fluency, flexibility, and novelty. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instruments used were open-ended questions consisting of algebra and geometry questions, mathematics anxiety questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The study was conducted in class IX E of SMPI Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun Jakarta. The subject of this study consisted of four students, they are male student with low mathematics anxiety, female student with low mathematics anxiety, male student with medium mathematics anxiety, and female student with medium mathematics anxiety. The results of the mathematics anxiety questionnaire showed that none of the students in class IX E had high math anxiety. There are differences in the fulfillment of aspects of creative thinking in terms of differences in mathematics anxiety and gender levels. Students with low math anxiety fulfill aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty in algebra and geometry questions. Students with medium math anxiety fulfill aspects of fluency and flexibility both in algebra and geometry questions. Female students fulfill aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty both in algebra and geometry questions. Male students fulfill aspects of fluency and flexibility in algebra questions, while in geometry questions the aspects that are fulfilled are fluency, flexibility, and novelty.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP kelas VII dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) serta untuk mengetahui apakah keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa memiliki hubungan positif terhadap komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP XYZ kota Bogor. Adapun kegiatan pada proses pembelajaran ini adalah merancang mathematics board games. Mix method merupakan jenis metode penelitian yang dilakukan dengan teknik pengambilan data dengan wawancara terhadap 5 orang responden, kuesioner dan observasi. Analisa kualitatif dilakukan secara triangulasi. Sedangkan untuk analisa kualitatif dengan menggunakan data yang diperoleh dari instrumen rubrik indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi PjBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa. Secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji statistik korelasi Pearson, diketahui keterampilan berpikir kreatif memiliki hubungan positif dengan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Abstract: The purpose of this study is to improve the creative thinking skills and mathematical communication of VII grade junior high school students by applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model and to find out whether students 'creative thinking skills have a positive correlation with students' mathematical communication skill. This research was conducted at SMP XYZ in Bogor. The activities in this learning process are designing mathematics board games. Mix method as the research methodology that is used with data collection techniques by interviewing 5 respondents, questionnaires and observations. Qualitative analysis is done by triangulation. Whereas for quanitative analysis using data obtained from the rubric instrument of creative thinking skills and mathematical communication indicators. The implementation of PjBL could improve students' creative thinking skills and mathematical communication. Quantitatively using the Pearson correlation statistical test, it is known that creative thinking skills have a positive relationship with creative thinking skills.

The main objective of this research is to produce junior high school Physics teaching materials oriented to a simple practical tool that can be used to foster junior high school students 'creative thinking skills, with the specific aim of knowing the indicators of junior high school students' creative thinking skills that can be grown through the use of a guided inquiry learning model assisted by a simple practicum tool. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with the design of Equivalent Pretest-Posttest Design (Design of Prates-Pascates Equivalent). This research was conducted at the Labschool Junior High School of Tadulako University where  the class VIII students being the research subjects. The research instrument used was an essay test and observation sheet. The data analysis technique used was quantitative data analyzed by inferential statistics, calculating the significance of the differences in the average of both groups of samples and qualitative data analyzed by using the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that a guided inquiry learning model assisted by a simple practicum tool could foster the creative thinking skills of the students of Labschool UNTAD Junior High School in the indicators of flexible thinking, fluent thinking and originality.
