The negative impact of fossil-fueled plants and the lack of public understanding of renewable energy lies behind the holding of these PKM activities with the aim of educating and at the same time transferring technology that is directly beneficial to the community in the form of solar powered street lighting. From the surveys that have been conducted where there are no available street lighting facilities so that there are some community activities that are difficult to do at night. From this work, there were two important things, among others, that the community gained an understanding of renewable energy and knowledge to efficiently use energy to reduce the environmental impact of the dominant fossil power plant in Indonesia. The second is that with the help of solar-powered street lights, the community is very helpful in carrying out activities at night and creates more secure conditions in the community.

In the Department of Electrical Engineering,Islamic University "45" Bekasiuntil now does not have a laboratory of Renewable energy. In this research, a hybrid power plants have been designed by combined between hydroelectric power plants and solar power plants. From the design result of the Solar Cell Power Plant, obtained that for 1 to 4 pieces of 100 Wp solar panels obtained the generation voltage of 21.12 volts generating power of 18.80 Watts on average time for 7.8 hours. Whereas for MHP the average voltage is 10.81 Volt and the generation power is 41.48 Watts for 8 hours of use.

Abstract A forecast of the negative impact exerted on the environment by selected trace elements in “Bełchatów” Power Plant has been prepared on the basis of the results of investigations into these elements’ distribution carried out as part of earlier research on coal from “Bełchatów” Field and the data on updated analyses of the content of these elements in 55 brown coal samples from test boreholes. Work in “Bełchatów” Power Plant, which is supplied with coal from “Szczerców” Field, will be accompanied by trace elements transfer. On the basis of the conducted investigations it has been found that the biosphere is most threatened by mercury emissions. As shown by the presented results of analyses and calculations, the emissions of mercury in “Bełchatów” Power Plant are low. Mercury is accumulated chiefl y in gypsum produced in the FGD plant. The content of mercury in slag and ash is low.

Renewable energy, especially solar power plants (PLTS), is now begin to develop their applications to many forms, such as: installed as a home power supply, power supply for buildings, and also as power supply for street lighting (solar street light). Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairiyah Rancranji In this regard, as a partner, demand a socialization and a study for their students to understand more about renewable energy topics especially about solar energy. And the limited electric power is also one of the problems for this school. Therefore, PKM activity in Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji is a solution given by the PKM team by providing learning and an introduction of renewable energy as well as workshop and installation of PLTS and road lamps based on solar cell. Results gained after the implementation of this activity are students understand and knows about the renewable energy, its application and its benefits in daily life.

In essence, road access to Kalialo Village is still very difficult due to the dark terrain and street lighting (PJU), this is because the PJU electricity in the village has been cut off since the last 6 months. Kalialo Village has provided information to PLN regarding the cut off of public street lighting but has not received any response to date.To help and facilitate this access, we as the Center for Engineering and Energy Studies feel the need for a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) or Solar Cel. Which will be installed at certain vital points or locations on the road access to Kalialo Village.

Abstract The aim of this research is to find a solution that can contribute to the more widespread use of electric vehicles and, through development, promote the use of renewable energy sources. It aims to eliminate the disadvantages of electric vehicles, such as self-discharge, stationary charging and limited range. The focus is mainly a solar-powered solution, since small solar cells have already been implemented on the commercially available Nissan Leaf model to solve similar problems but with very little or no improvement. Encouraged by this attempt I have engineered a larger, more useful auxiliary solar cell system to improve the range of these vehicles.

Generally, power plants have an environmental negative impact, due to emissions released from the power plant process. The Coal-fired power plant is the most dominant in the world. This is due to the relatively cheap price of coal and high calories produced. But on the other hand emissions generated by coal-fired power plants are quite large compared to other types of power plants, while all countries are working to reduce global warming, one of which is by reducing CO2 emissions. Utilization Renewable Energy is one of the solutions in efforts to reduce the use of fossil energy so that there is a decrease in CO2. Biomass is renewable energy which is currently widely used as fuel for electricity generation, Biomass fuel can be used 100% for a plant called PLTBm and can also be a coal-fired power plant with a certain percentage mix. Therefore, an analysis using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method is used to determine differences in emissions produced between coal-fired power plants compared to the Biomass co-firing system. The result is a PLTU with a Biomass co-firing system produces lower emissions than a 100% coal-fired power plant.

This study aims to design a concept of Smart Room System with a source of electricity derived from the Solar Cell System in a home which can facilitate human activities while in the house such as turning on and off the lights, open and close the door of the house. Smart Room System is a technology that allows homeowners to control the entire contents of the house in one hand, can be a smartphone or other gadgets. In improving security and comfort, this system is controlled by Arduino microcontroller. Arduino is connected to a computer via USB, programmed using C language via Arduino IDE by uploading compiled code to Arduino board. Arduino microcontrollers can be utilized as a home light controller, automatic door control and feature controller of other electronic devices. Associated with the many electronic features used in the Smart Room System, the source of electricity used is from a solar power plant that is known that solar or solar is one source of renewable energy is much cheaper, environmentally friendly and more efficient because it minimizes the use of sources electricity PLN 220 V.
