In this study, twelve young students on the autism spectrum were interviewed on preparation for working life, employment guidance, the challenges and strengths of the autism spectrum, and suitable teaching methods. Interviews were supported by a structured and illustrated questionnaire. The data were analysed using key statistics. The results showed that, from the students’ perspective, the most important issues in preparation for work are familiarisation with different jobs, guidance in searching for a suitable job, evaluation of the suitability of the working environment, integration of occupational safety into work skills, and acquiring conversational skills in the workplace. The selection of a suitable working environment is clearly emphasised before transitioning to work. Acquiring and keeping a job require investing in social situations and skills in studying. The structuring should be flexible and adaptable according to situations and personal needs. Educationally, social interaction, social skills, and communication should form a coherent whole. The main goal for everyday life ought to be communicative and based on a structure for acquiring different skills. The results can be utilised in a vocational education and training (VET) context, because they support the importance of preparatory education as part of these studies. In addition, the results can also be used in on-the-job learning plans for VET.

Graduating from high school and moving to the next phase of life can be difficult for any student but is particularly so for those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Social and communication difficulties, sensory concerns, and narrow interests can negatively affect these students’ opportunity for postsecondary education and employment. Preparing students with ASD for post-school success may be especially challenging in rural schools, due to limited opportunities and resources. This article describes a rural high school transition services program designed to support students with ASD and other disabilities in becoming gainfully employed after high school or accessing post-secondary education. The program, designed by a student’s transition team starting in Grade 9, is based on recommendations from the literature and includes inclusion and co-teaching, work skills classes, collaboration with outside agencies, and the development of a student portfolio.

In this study, an analysis of independent studies dealing with occupational safety training in different learning environments, in which various learning materials are used, was carried out. As a method, meta-analysis method was used. For this purpose, databases were used to collect national and international articles and papers suitable for the purpose of the study. Studies that did not mention the tools, equipment and environment used in education in the collected studies were excluded from the research, and 18 studies were included in the meta-analysis. The data obtained studies are categorized according to the education models, the sectors in which the education is applied and the characteristics of the participants in the education. As it is known, occupational health and safety procedures aim at a healthy and reliable working environment for its employees. However, the ultimate goal is to raise not only employees but also future generations with this awareness. The most important instrument of this is undoubtedly education. For this reason, it is necessary to develop training models suitable for the work environment, age, gender and every conceivable situation.

Dinitrotoluene (DNT) is a yellow, crystalline solid with a characteristic odor. It may consist of 6 isomers, but only two (2,4-DNT and 2,6-DNT) are of industrial importance. DNT can cause cancer. The aim of this study was to develop a method for the determination mixture of DNT isomers in workplace air, which will allow to determine its concentration at the level of 0.033 mg/m3. The method consists in stopping the mixture of dinitrotoluene isomers contained in the air on the glass fiber and the silica gel, extraction with methanol and chromatographic analysis of the obtained solution. The tests were carried out using a liquid chromatograph (HPLC) 1200 series from Agilent Technologies with a diode array detector (DAD). The method was validated in accordance with the requirements of the European Standard No. EN 482. The method allows the determination mixture of DNT isomers in the working environment air in the concentration range: 0.033 ÷ 0.66 mg/m3. The described method enables determination mixture of DNT isomers in the workplace air in the presence of: toluene-2,4-diamine, toluene-2,6-diamine, toluene-2,4-diyl diisocyanate, toluene-2,6-diyl diisocyanate and toluene. The method for determining dinitrotoluene has been recorded in the form of an analytical procedure (see Appendix). This article discusses the problems of occupational safety and health, which are covered by health sciences and environmental engineering.

Abstract An increasing number of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) enroll in inclusive schools and classrooms. The aim of this study was to research how students with ASD experience the social aspect of inclusive high schools. Five adolescences with Asperger syndrome were interviewed, and the results show that high school was perceived as an important platform for social training, and an equally important place to find new friends and acquaintances. A majority of the participants had experienced loneliness and bullying in junior high school. However, they experienced high school as a new start, with a more open and inclusive environment. Nevertheless, several of the participants expressed that they used quite a lot of energy on social settings, such as interpreting social situations and on being amongst a larger group of students. In order to support this group of adolescents in their schooling, it is important to look at their strength and resources, and not only focus on the challenges and difficulties.

This study aims to analyze the effect of occupational safety, work skills, and employability on stress and its implications on the labor productivity of construction service workers in Jabodetabek. This researcher uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample used in this study are 303 permanent workforce in the construction service sector of  structure work ( formwork, putting ironn and casting ) who have a minimum of high school education equivalent that determines proportionate random sampling. The research data were obtained from distributing questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis supported by descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate occupational safety, work skills, employability and stress have a direct effect on work productivity; occupational safety, work skills and employability have a direct effect on stress; occupational safety, work skills and employability have a indirect effect on work productivity with stress mediation. Therefore, improvements in occupational safety, work skills, employability, and stress can increase work productivity. The novelty of this study is in the form of a research model of the effect of occupational safety, work skills, and employability on work productivity with stress mediation developed from previous relevant studies with construction service research locations in Jabodetabek, 2019.
