In the field of image processing, all types of computation models are almost evolved to solve the issues through encoded neurons. However, compared with decoding orientation and regression analysis, still the doors are open due to its complexity. At present technologies uses two steps such as, decoding the intermediate terms and reconstruction using decoded information. The performance in terms of regression analysis is lagging due to the decoded intermediate terms. Conventional neural network models perform better in feature classification and representation, though the performance is reduced while handling high level features. Considering these issues in image classification and regression, the proposed model is designed with capsule network as an innovative method which is suitable to handle high level features. The experimental results of the proposed model are compared with conventional neural network models such as BPNN and CNN to validate the superior performance. The proposed model achieves better retrieval efficiency of 95.4% which is much better than other neural network models.

Surface roughness, an indicator of surface quality, is one of the most specified customer requirements in machining of parts. In this study, the experimental results corresponding to the effects of different insert nose radii of cutting tools (0.4, 0.8, 1.2 mm), various depth of cuts (0.75, 1.25, 1.75, 2.25, 2.75 mm), and different feedrates (100, 130, 160, 190, 220 mm/min) on the surface quality of the AISI 1030 steel workpieces have been investigated using multiple regression analysis and artificial neural networks (ANN). Regression analysis and neural network-based models used for the prediction of surface roughness were compared for various cutting conditions in turning. The data set obtained from the measurements of surface roughness was employed to and tests the neural network model. The trained neural network models were used in predicting surface roughness for cutting conditions. A comparison of neural network models with regression model was carried out. Coefficient of determination was 0.98 in multiple regression model. The scaled conjugate gradient (SCG) model with 9 neurons in hidden layer has produced absolute fraction of variance(R2)values of 0.999 for the training data, and 0.998 for the test data. Predictive neural network model showed better predictions than various regression models for surface roughness. However, both methods can be used for the prediction of surface roughness in turning.

Predicting and modeling flank wear length in high speed hard turning by using ceramic cutting tools with negative rake angle was conducted using two different techniques. Regression model is developed by using design of expert 7.1.6 and neural network technique model was built by using matlab2009b. A set of experimental data for high speed hard turning of hardened AISI 4340 steel was obtained with different cutting speeds, feed rate and negative rake angle. Flank wear length was measured to train the neural network models and to develop mathematical model by using regression analysis. Predictive neural network models are found to be capable of better predictions tool flank wear within the range that they had been trained.

Four reaction-diffusion cellular neural network (R-D CNN) models are set up based on the differential equation models for the growths of effector cells and cancer cells, and the model of the immune response to cancer proposed by Allison et al. The CNN models have different reaction-diffusion coefficients and coupling parameters. The R-D CNN models may provide possible quantitative interpretations, and are good in agreement with the in vitro experiment data reported by Allison et al.

Conceptual cost estimates play a crucial role in initial project decisions, although scope is not finalized and very limited design information is available during early project stages. In this paper, the advantages and disadvantages of the current conceptual cost estimation methods are discussed and the use of regression, neural network, and range estimation techniques for conceptual cost estimation of building projects are presented. Historical cost data of continuing care retirement community projects were compiled to develop regression and neural network models. Three linear regression models were considered to identify the significant variables affecting project cost. Two neural network models were developed to examine the possible need for nonlinear or interaction terms in the regression model. Prediction intervals were constructed for the regression model to quantify the level of uncertainty for the estimates. Advantages of simultaneous use of regression analysis, neural networks, and range estimation for conceptual cost estimating are discussed.Key words: conceptual cost estimation, regression analysis, neural networks, range estimation.

The neural network models series used in the development of an aggregated digital twin of equipment as a cyber-physical system are presented. The twins of machining accuracy, chip formation and tool wear are examined in detail. On their basis, systems for stabilization of the chip formation process during cutting and diagnose of the cutting too wear are developed. Keywords cyberphysical system; neural network model of equipment; big data, digital twin of the chip formation; digital twin of the tool wear; digital twin of nanostructured coating choice
