Learning evaluation using ubiquitous-based tests may be essential during a public health crisis, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, during which theoretical classes and clinical practice are conducted online. However, students may not be as familiar with ubiquitous-based tests as they are with paper-based tests. This survey study aimed to evaluate students’ satisfaction with ubiquitous-based tests and compare the evaluation results of a paper-based test with that of a ubiquitous-based test in nursing education. For the midterm exam of the Women’s Health Nursing course, a paper-based test was conducted, while a ubiquitous-based test using a tablet computer was used for the final exam. The Ubiquitous-Based Test Usefulness and Satisfaction tool, which has a five-point Likert-type response scale, was employed to evaluate the post-test usefulness and satisfaction scores of the ubiquitous-based test. The mean score of the ubiquitous-based test usefulness was 4.01 ± 0.67. There was a significant difference in satisfaction levels between the ubiquitous-based and the paper-based test (t = −3.36, p = 0.001). Specifically, the evaluation scores were not affected by different evaluation methods. Study participants deemed the ubiquitous-based test highly useful and satisfactory, suggesting that such tests may be a future-oriented evaluation method, potentially replacing paper-based tests.

This article aimed to analyze the Women's Health Education in the Nursing courses in São Paulo, SP, Brazil, characterizing faculty members and the pedagogical processes implemented. A questionnaire was carried out with 17 professors responsible for the teaching. It was possible to observe good qualification of the faculty members, in its majority with teaching experience superior to five years. In addition, most of the professors have teaching education with partial dedication to teaching and research or work per hour. The denomination "Women's Health Nursing Assistance" is adopted by the majority of courses. The pedagogical processes tend to extend conceptual references, keeping expositive classes as the main teaching strategy and written tests are the most applied evaluation method. The teaching of woman's health presents, therefore, a more critical perspective about woman's health with the participation of graduate professors and learning situations that integrate both the transmission and the active construction of knowledge.

Online-based infertility education provides a health management system to patients using electronic information and technology and no face-to-face interaction with patients and experts. This is a study to develop a web-based integrated support service system to meet the health care and nursing needs of infertile women. To develop a system that is most suitable and practically helpful to infertile women, who are end users of this system, research was conducted. This education system consists of introduction to women’s health care, information on women’s health, information on organizations for women, community for infertile women, and request for consultation for health management and nursing education of infertile women. This study introduced and applied a user-centered design that maximizes the value of use by first understanding the user’s convenience and needs when developing a program.

The global battle to survive the onslaughts of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) started in December 2019 and continues today. Women and girls have borne the brunt of the hardship resulting from the health crises. This paper examined the effects of COVID-19 on women. Socioeconomic factors resulting from the pandemic, especially in relation to women's health, were discussed after studying published articles. They include gender specificity and COVID-19, the economic toll of COVID-19 on women, pregnancy and COVID-19, gender-based violence due to COVID-19, and health-care impacts of COVID-19. Making up the majority in the healthcare workforce, women were at higher risk of infection with COVID-19 due to their exposure as caregivers to infected patients. The pandemic took its toll on them as part of the greater population in the informal sector of the economy due to the lockdown directive, as many experienced severe monetary shortages and job losses. Pregnant women infected with COVID-19 were prone to severe diseases, maternal complications, and death due to their weakened immunity and exposure during clinical procedures. Gender-based violence was observed to have increased across the globe for women. The results of this review strongly indicate that women are disproportionately affected by the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis. This review will help health-care professionals and policymakers arrive at properly-thought-through decisions to better manage health crises. Governments and all key players should address the challenge by devising effective policies with a gendered view.
