In sunspaces, there is an observable temperature rise above the external air temperature, caused by solar gains and the buffering effect of their enclosure. In addition, their external partitions form a barrier preventing the direct influence of the external environment and delaying the natural deterioration of elevation surface. In the paper, the temperature rise in a glazed balcony attached to a typical flat in a multifamily building, together with the energy demand in the living zone, were assessed with the use of dynamic computer simulations. Ten variants of the sunspace casing were analysed, with different thermal and solar energy transmittance of the glazing (which is a novel subject in the research area). This enabled us to evaluate average values of the temperature reduction factor during the year and to choose the most efficient variant of the sunspace external partitions. It turned out to be an insulated, double-glazed casing with a spectrally selective coating (type O 21), combining high insulative properties with high solar transmittance. These features allowed the temperature in the sunspace to rise by almost 10°C (compared with the external air) and lower total energy demand in the flat by 33% (compared with a flat with an open balcony).

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors influencing strategic responses to external environment by deposit taking SACCOS in Nairobi County: a study of Unaitas Sacco.Methodology: The research adopted case study research design. The target population of the study was 11 directors and 600 employees of Unaitas Sacco. The sample size consisted of 61 (10% of the target population) directors and employees of Unaitas Sacco. Stratified random sampling was used in the study to select the one director and the 60 employees of Unaitas Sacco. The study used primary data. The data collection instruments that were used in this study were the interview guide and questionnaire. The qualitative analysis was done using content analysis. Quantitative data analysis employed descriptive statistics and factor analysis.  Descriptive statistics included frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviation. Results were presented in form of tables and charts. Particular statistics in factor analysis was scale plot and commonalities. Results: The study found that reference to past strategy organization external dependence, consideration of level of risk and Organizational Culture greatly influences the choice of strategic response. In addition managerial competence, organizational structure and control processes, time available and availability of resources also greatly influence the choice of strategic responseUnique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study recommends that Unaitas to invest more in the latest technology and start agency banking as a strategy of expanding its market share and product differentiation.

Nanotechnology involved tinkering to make important materials at atomic levels, manipulating and modifying substances 1, 00, 000 times smaller than a strand of human hair. It is expected that nanotechnology will revolutionize society as well as science. It involves one billionth of a meter of technology. The term (NANO) has been derived from the Greek word (Dwarf)[1].Nanotechnology is foreseen to significant influence science, economy and everyday life in twenty one century and it may become one of the driving forces to the next industrial revolution. Nanoparticles of Silver have many useful applications included spectrally selective coating for solar energy absorption and intercalation material for electrical batteries, as optical receptors

The importance of tax regulation of foreign economic activity is analyzed in this paper. The dynamics and structure of tax revenues to the State Budget of Ukraine are analyzed as well. Comparative analysis of VAT revenues from goods (works, services) produced in Ukraine and imported into its customs territory is carried out. The relationship between imports and VAT receipts of and excise duty on imported goods is determined. The dynamics and structure of excise duty revenues and import duties are investigated. The factors influencing the change of indicators of tax revenues from import operations are determined. Fiscal efficiency and taxes elasticity coefficient levied on imports are calculated. The regulatory role of special duties types (compensatory, special, anti-dumping), which are collected in order to protect the national producer and consumer is proved. Monitoring of additional customs receipts is carried out as a result of customs value correction by customs authorities. The preconditions and factors influencing the change in the volume of taxes on import transactions are identified. The necessity of improving the mechanism of collecting taxes on import operations is substantiated. It is proposed to reduce VAT rates, which depend on goods saturation in domestic market. Proposal to introduce the reduction factor to the duty rates used in order to stimulate critical and socially significant imports, as well as to investment goods imported into the customs territory of Ukraine is put forward. It seems that the tax policy in terms of import operations should be aimed at ensuring the rational commodity and geographical structure of imports, promoting domestic products competitiveness strengthening and protection domestic market and domestic producers. It is proposed to improve the mechanism of tax administration, which primarily involves focusing on working with dishonest taxpayers, exposing tax evasion schemes, providing appropriate tax collection services to honest taxpayers.

ABSTRACTAtmospheric-pressure fluidized bed combustion (AFBC) produces solid residues that are different from the familiar pulverized coal ashes. When limestone beds are used to adsorb SOx, high-Ca residues, comprised largely of CaO and SO4, are produced. Leachates from high-Ca AFBC residues are strongly alkaline (pH >11) and contain high levels of dissolved solids (TDS >3000 mg/L). If water is added during handling, hydration of CaO may cause a temperature rise and hydration of CaSO4 may result in premature hardening of the residues. Trace elements and organic components may leach from disposal sites. This paper presents an overview of the nature of AFBC residues and the factors influencing their disposal.
