One of the uses of information technology is through e-Government. e-Government is an effort to use digital information technology to transform government activities aimed at increasing the effectiveness, efficiency, and service delivery. One form of e-Government is e-Inventory. This application can be used as a solution to the problem of documenting state inventory item such as recording data that is still manually, not regularly inventorying data, and difficulties in retrieving data in event of an inspection by the Inspectorate or Audit Board of the Republic Indonesia (BPK). This problem is one of which occurs in the work unit of Center for Mineral Resource Development Technology (PTPSM), Agency of Assessment and Application Technology (BPPT), which is still experiencing problems in recording inventory item effectively, efficiently, and organized. Therefore, an e-Inventory application for inventory items was develop through in web and mobile. The e-Inventory application development was developed until the design phase of feature design and display design (mock up). The purposes of developing e-Inventory application for inventory items is to make easier and update data on state inventory items, better document the country’s investment goods, and facilitate data retrieval in the work unit PTPSM – BPPT, and the development of this application is a novelty in BPPT because there is no development of e-Government application related to e-Inventory at BPPT.</em></p>

ABSTRACTHigh levels of crime are a key driver of emigration from Latin America and the Caribbean. But can emigration change public opinion about how best to respond to crime? Focusing on the political economy of remittances—the money migrants send to their families and communities—this study argues that emigration can increase support for violent responses to crime. Migrants’ families often spend remittances on investment goods, which makes them more vulnerable to crime and more supportive of violence to protect themselves. An analysis of AmericasBarometer data finds that remittance recipients are more likely both to fear crime and to be victims of crime than nonrecipients. They are also more approving of vigilantism, more tolerant of police bending the law to apprehend criminals, and more supportive of deploying the military in crime fighting. These findings contribute to our knowledge of the consequences of international migration for political development in migrant-sending countries.

We argue that secular change in both the production and composition of investment goods has weakened private investment's role in the transmission of monetary policy to labor earnings and consumption. We show analytically that fluctuations in the production of investment goods amplify the response of consumption to monetary policy shocks by varying labor income for hand-to-mouth agents. We document three secular changes that weaken this channel: (i) labor's share of value added in investment goods production has declined, (ii) the import share of investment goods has risen, and (iii) the composition of investment has shifted towards components that are less responsive to monetary policy. A small open economy, two agent New Keynesian model calibrated to match these facts implies a 38% and 26% weaker response of labor income and aggregate consumption, respectively, to real interest rate shocks in a 2010's economy relative to a 1960's economy.

We study the joint evolution of the sectoral composition and the investment rate of developing economies. Using panel data for several countries in different stages of development, we document three novel facts: (a) the share of industry and the investment rate are strongly correlated and follow a hump‐shaped profile with development, (b) investment goods contain more domestic value added from industry and less from services than consumption goods do, and (c) the evolution of the sectoral composition of investment and consumption goods differs from the one of GDP. We build a multi‐sector growth model to fit these patterns and provide two important results. First, the hump‐shaped evolution of investment demand explains half of the hump in industry with development. Second, asymmetric sectoral productivity growth helps explain the decline in the relative price of investment goods along the development path, which in turn increases capital accumulation and promotes growth.

Leasing emerges as an important practice that meets the needs of companies that do not want to spend their equity on investment goods or whose equity is not sufficient to acquire investment goods. At this point, investors prefer financial leasing and operational leasing methods to provide economic benefits and profits from the use of goods, not ownership. This study discusses the financial leasing and operational leasing practices that are frequently used for financing and assesses the use of these methods in the tourism and hospitality markets and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the study also makes recommendations by making predictions about changes and innovations that may occur after the pandemic crisis.

AbstractMachine elements produced in large quantities undergo several development cycles and can be adapted from generation to generation. Thus, experiences from real operation can be taken into account in further development. This is not possible for innovative investment goods such as special purpose machines, as these are usually individual items. Therefore, functionality and quality of newly developed components must be assured by previous investigations.Conventional methods are inadequate at this point, as they cannot represent the actual, complex operating conditions in the later application. A reliable statement about the behavior of the system through a comprehensive validation in laboratory tests under standardized conditions is not achievable in this way due to a multitude of diversified load cases. In previous work, a method was developed to allow testing of machine elements in the laboratory under detuned operating conditions. For this purpose, disturbance variables are applied to the system using paraffin wax phase change actuators in order to simulate real operation states and to analyze the behavior of the machine element under these conditions. The investigated disturbance variables are fluctuations and asymmetries of the operating load through superimposed temperature gradients. Complex interactions between the machine element and the adjacent components or the overall system can thus be taken into account. The functionality of the methodology has been developed and briefly demonstrated so far. This paper presents the next level within the development process of the methodology. The necessary components are explained in detail and an AI black box evaluation tool is discussed. This work is based on a test bench that applies dynamically changing states of detuning under superimposed disturbances. Additionally, energy efficiency and performance of the test setup is advanced. As presented, the method opens up the possibility of validating new machine elements in the laboratory under realistic conditions.

Crystal sugar has a high potency to develop because of the growing demand for crystal sugar on a local and international scale. CV Agroberdikari is a company that produces crystal sugar in Kebumen District. The company needs investment to develop a development that increases the production of crystal sugar. Feasibility analysis needs to be done to see whether or not the business is executed when the company is developing based on non-financial aspects and financial aspects. Aspects assessed on non-financial aspects are market aspects, technical aspects, management and legal aspects, social and economic aspects, and environmental aspects. Assessment on financial aspects based on investment criteria of NPV, Net B/C, IRR  and Payback Period and sensitivity analysis. Analysis results of non-financial aspects that the business is declared worthy to run. Analysis of financial aspects under normal conditions resulted in NPV Rp 708.012.338, Net B/C 2,64, IRR 29 per cent and PP 5,7 years. In development, conditions produce NPV Rp 1.003.257.059, Net B/C 3,74, IRR 45 per cent, and PP 4,9 year. The results of financial analysis can be stated that business development is worthy to run. The results of sensitivity analytic showed that the price increase of raw materials was more sensitive than the decrease in sugar production. Companies need to increase the number of suppliers of raw materials and add investment goods to increase consumer demand can be fulfilled and anticipate the increase of raw material prices.

The importance of tax regulation of foreign economic activity is analyzed in this paper. The dynamics and structure of tax revenues to the State Budget of Ukraine are analyzed as well. Comparative analysis of VAT revenues from goods (works, services) produced in Ukraine and imported into its customs territory is carried out. The relationship between imports and VAT receipts of and excise duty on imported goods is determined. The dynamics and structure of excise duty revenues and import duties are investigated. The factors influencing the change of indicators of tax revenues from import operations are determined. Fiscal efficiency and taxes elasticity coefficient levied on imports are calculated. The regulatory role of special duties types (compensatory, special, anti-dumping), which are collected in order to protect the national producer and consumer is proved. Monitoring of additional customs receipts is carried out as a result of customs value correction by customs authorities. The preconditions and factors influencing the change in the volume of taxes on import transactions are identified. The necessity of improving the mechanism of collecting taxes on import operations is substantiated. It is proposed to reduce VAT rates, which depend on goods saturation in domestic market. Proposal to introduce the reduction factor to the duty rates used in order to stimulate critical and socially significant imports, as well as to investment goods imported into the customs territory of Ukraine is put forward. It seems that the tax policy in terms of import operations should be aimed at ensuring the rational commodity and geographical structure of imports, promoting domestic products competitiveness strengthening and protection domestic market and domestic producers. It is proposed to improve the mechanism of tax administration, which primarily involves focusing on working with dishonest taxpayers, exposing tax evasion schemes, providing appropriate tax collection services to honest taxpayers.
