The motivation for this paper is to create new criteria for oscillation of solutions of second-order nonlinear neutral differential equations. In more than one respect, our results improve several related ones in the literature. As proof of the effectiveness of the new criteria, we offer more than one practical example.

AbstractIn this work, we create new oscillation conditions for solutions of second-order differential equations with continuous delay. The new criteria were created based on Riccati transformation technique and comparison principles. Furthermore, we obtain iterative criteria that can be applied even when the other criteria fail. The results obtained in this paper improve and extend the relevant previous results as illustrated by examples.

<p>In this paper, we aim to explore the oscillation of solutions for a class of second-order neutral functional differential equations. We propose new criteria to ensure that all obtained solutions are oscillatory. The obtained results can be used to develop and provide theoretical support for and further develop the oscillation study for a class of second-order neutral differential equations. Finally, an illustrated example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our new criteria.</p>

The main purpose of this study is to establish new improved conditions for testing the oscillation of solutions of second-order neutral differential equation r l u ′ l γ ′ + q l x β σ l = 0 , where l ≥ l 0 and u l ≔ x l + p x ϱ l . By optimizing the commonly used relationship x > 1 − p u , we obtain new criteria that give sharper results for oscillation than the previous related results. Moreover, we obtain criteria of an iterative nature. Our new results are illustrated by an example.

In this paper, we establish new sufficient conditions for the oscillation of solutions of a class of second-order delay differential equations with a mixed neutral term, which are under the non-canonical condition. The results obtained complement and simplify some known results in the relevant literature. Example illustrating the results is included.

In this work, we obtained new sufficient and necessary conditions for the oscillation of second-order differential equations with mixed and multiple delays under a canonical operator. Our methods could be applicable to find the sufficient and necessary conditions for any neutral differential equations. Furthermore, we proved the validity of the obtained results via particular examples. At the end of the paper, we provide the future scope of this study.

In continuous applications in electrodynamics, neural networks, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, and the field of time symmetric, fluid dynamics, neutral differential equations appear when modeling many problems and phenomena. Therefore, it is interesting to study the qualitative behavior of solutions of such equations. In this study, we obtained some new sufficient conditions for oscillations to the solutions of a second-order delay differential equations with sub-linear neutral terms. The results obtained improve and complement the relevant results in the literature. Finally, we show an example to validate the main results, and an open problem is included.

In this study, we establish new sufficient conditions for oscillation of solutions of second-order neutral differential equations with distributed deviating arguments. By employing a refinement of the Riccati transformations and comparison principles, we obtain new oscillation criteria that complement and improve some results reported in the literature. Examples are provided to illustrate the main results.

In this paper, we study oscillation and asymptotic properties for half-linear second order differential equations with mixed argument of the form r(t)(y′(t))α′=p(t)yα(τ(t)). Such differential equation may possesses two types of nonoscillatory solutions either from the class N0 (positive decreasing solutions) or N2 (positive increasing solutions). We establish new criteria for N0=∅ and N2=∅ provided that delayed and advanced parts of deviating argument are large enough. As a consequence of these results, we provide new oscillatory criteria. The presented results essentially improve existing ones even for a linear case of considered equations.

The authors establish some new criteria for the oscillation of solutions of second order nonlinear differential equations with a sublinear neutral term by reducing the equation to a linear one. Their results are illustrated with an example.
