Near-field communication is a new kind of low-cost wireless communication technology developed in recent years, which brings great convenience to daily life activities such as medical care, food quality detection, and commerce. The integration of near-field communication devices and sensors exhibits great potential for these real-world applications by endowing sensors with new features of powerless and wireless signal transferring and conferring near field communication device with sensing function. In this review, we summarize recent progress in near field communication sensors, including the development of materials and device design and their applications in wearable personal healthcare devices. The opportunities and challenges in near-field communication sensors are discussed in the end.

The library is a place that contains books, articles, papers and reading sources that are arranged as sources of information material. Therefore, with the rapid growth of technology, good management of library management is something that is very important for every college. One of the systems developed in this study is Near Field Communication (NFC) which is a subset of RFID (radio frequency identification). NFC is a technology that can simplify and facilitate transactions, transfer data, and wireless connections between two communication devices that are very close to a few centimeters. This system is designed using an Android device that has NFC technology. By using an NFC-based management system on an Android smartphone it is expected to improve its quality and be able to compete in the current technological era nationally or globally. The purpose of this study is to facilitate students in finding information sources by simply attaching an Android smartphone to the NFC tag attached to the book so as to obtain information about the book. This research method starts from discussing the discussion room, setting goals, discussing literature, analyzing problems, discussing models with UML, Designing systems, managing library information management and testing systems. Related to the completion of work in this study describes the design of library information management applications using Android-based Near Field Communication technology in Higher Education. Keywords:Library, Near Field Commnication, RFID, Android.

With the popularization of smart phones and the continuous popularization of NFC near field communication technology, low-power short-range wireless communication technology is widely used in wireless meter reading. It is used for meter reading and compatibility in existing systems. This paper de-signs a wireless meter reading system based on short distance wireless communication technology and NFC. The system is stable, low cost and good versa-tility. The system is based on short distance wireless communication technology and NFC wireless meter reading system.

Near-field communication (NFC) is a low-power wireless communication technology used in contemporary daily life. This technology contributes not only to user identification and payment methods, but also to various biomedical fields such as healthcare and disease monitoring. This paper focuses on biomedical applications among the diverse applications of NFC. It addresses the benefits of combining traditional and new sensors (temperature, pressure, electrophysiology, blood flow, sweat, etc.) with NFC technology. Specifically, this report describes how NFC technology, which is simply applied in everyday life, can be combined with sensors to present vision and opportunities to modern people.

This work is focused on the design and fabrication of hydrogel sensors for the agricultural applications, “a multi-sensory device”. Agriculture is an important contributor to Qatar’s economy, as the country is aiming to produce more local products. We chose to use hydrogel in soil, for their high efficiency in absorbing water. The hydrogel will be embedded in a multisensory device that will provide consistent plant watering when soil is dry and in need for water. The multi-sensory device will employ NFC switch “Near Field Communication” which is a wireless communication device used to control water flow for plant irrigation. Also, the experimental work including enhancing soil properties by using Arabic gum (sodium 2-[(7-carboxyheptyl)-Chydroxycarbonimidoyl] benzen-1-olate), a biodegradable and naturally available polymer. It is proven that it decreases soil porosity, enhances the reinforcement between the soil and the hydrogel therefore retaining more water and preventing evaporation, it also increases plant growth through fixating nitrogen in the soil.
