The objective of this study is to analyse individual differences in quality of higher education through the pursuit of satisfaction with a focus on sustainability, whilst considering variables pertaining to groups (family, teachers and pupils) and satisfaction in a sample of 1091 Italians: 510 pupils (45.8%), 121 teachers (11.1%) and 469 relatives (42.9%). Once the quality parameters of the instrument (quality of higher education through the pursuit of satisfaction with a focus on the sustainability (QHES) questionnaire) were determined, reliability was confirmed through confirmatory factor analysis using structural equation modelling methodology, and data collection was initiated. Results from the multi-level study (ANOVA) showed significant differences between groups. From this, it can be concluded from the study that the role performed by a quality education oriented towards sustainability equally includes teachers, students and relatives. This role focuses on the battle to incorporate effective participatory methods into the teaching process, motivating members of the educational community and social future in the search for knowledge, skills, attitudes and necessary values. This will forge a sustainable future given that it does not only depend on the characteristics and experiences of individuals but also their training, both within the centre and their families. This factor is of vital importance, as demonstrated and concluded in the present study.

The present era of eGovernance is considered as technology-driven which enhance productivity along with amplified failure rates. The process, citizens, technology, and resources are the pillars of eGovernance but the emphasis is only upon technology which postulates for the development of updated integrated eGovernance model for accomplishing future requirements. Objectives:The present study endeavors to discover the diverse vital constructs to develop an integrated eGovernance model to augment efficiency and social influence. Methods: The NeSDA and OSI methodology are taken as a basis to extract constructs of eGovernance model and attained constructs and relative relationships ascertained through Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (EFA and CFA). Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is applied to develop and propose an integrated eGovernance model to augment efficiency and social influence. Findings: The empirical outcome illustrate the significant positive impact of eleven accumulated constructs on Intention to Use and Service Quality of the eGovernance initiative which ultimately augments efficiency and social influence of eGovernance initiatives. Novelty: The proposed model makes a significant contribution by integrating vital constructs on the basis of empirical outcomes and applies them to the context of the eGovernance. The suggested model will guide the policymakers and developers of eGovernance systems to focus on identified constructs to maintain and enhance efficiency and social influence. Keywords: Structural equation modeling; intension to use; social influence;competence; transparency; efficiency

One of the main objectives of the Undergraduate Dissertation is to evaluate the skills associated with a degree. Student satisfaction with the training and skills acquired can be an indicator of the quality of higher education. This paper aims to analyse student satisfaction with Undergraduate Dissertation at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Based on a survey conducted among 130 students (75.7% of a total of 172 students who presented their UD during the academic year 2013–2014), structural equation modelling was applied to analyse the influence on satisfaction of aspects related to intellectual curiosity and the perception of acquired skills. The results show that the perception of the skills acquired play a crucial role in students’ satisfaction with Undergraduate Satisfaction, conditioned by their perceived future usefulness and backed by personality and motivation elements that encourage their acquisition. The results confirm the significant role played by the tutor, who emerges as an element that boosts the central relations of the model.

The article is dedicated to the substantiation of approaches to the improvement of the quality of the educational process in the multi-level higher education system. It has been established that the time has come for the state-public management of the quality of higher education. It has been proved that to keep the high quality of higher education, public authorities need to draw for the accreditation of educational programs independent assessment institutions and to assure the quality of higher education, as well as to ensure the cooperation of national and international higher education institutions. It has been determined that when performing an external assessment of higher education and public professional accreditation independent bodies’ approaches and principles should be much wider than those used for state accreditation

This study analyzes the influences of students’ perceptions about the quality of higher education services to satisfaction; high quality of education services to the loyalty; and student satisfaction to the loyalty on private universities (PTS) in Makassar. The population used in this study was all students of economics faculty that have been studied over four semesters at big four PTS in Makassar. The sampling method used in this study was simple random sampling. The number of samples is 114 people. Both Descriptive Statistics and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) were used as method of analysis. The data processed by using IBM SPSS and AMOS 20. The result shows that the quality of higher education services significantly influence student satisfaction, the quality of higher education services significantly influence student loyalty, and student satisfaction significantly influences student loyalty. Loyalty is more determined by student satisfaction rather than the quality of higher education services.

The present paper reexamines the psychometric properties of the Quality Perception Questionnaire (QPQ), an Italian survey instrument measuring patients’ perceptions of the quality of a recent hospital admission experience, in a sample of 4400 patients (Mage = 56.42 years; SD = 19.71 years, 48.8% females). The 14-item survey measures four factors: satisfaction with medical doctors, nursing staff, auxiliary staff, and hospital structures. First, we tested two models using a confirmatory factor analysis (structural equation modeling): a four orthogonal factor and a four oblique factor model. The SEM fit indices and the χ² difference suggested the acceptance of the second model. We then did a simulation using a bootstrap with 1000 replications. Results confirmed the four oblique factor solution. Third, we tested whether there were significant differences with respect to age or sex. The multivariate general linear model showed no significant differences in the factors with respect to sex or age.

This article contributes to the conceptual and empirical distinction between (the assessment of) appraisals of teaching behavior and (the assessment of) self-reported competence acquirement within academic course evaluation. The Bologna Process, the current higher-education reform in Europe, emphasizes education aimed toward vocationally oriented competences and demands the certification of acquired competences. Currently available evaluation questionnaires measure the students’ satisfaction with a lecturer’s behavior, whereas the “Evaluation in Higher Education: Self-Assessed Competences” (HEsaCom) measures the students’ personal benefit in terms of competences. In a sample of 1403 German students, we administered a scale of satisfaction with teaching behavior and the German version of the HEsaCom at the same time. Using confirmatory factor analysis, the estimated correlations between the various scales of self-rated competences and teaching behavior appraisals were moderate to strong, yet the constructs were shown to be empirically distinct. We conclude that the self-rated gains in competences are distinct from satisfaction with course and instructor. In line with the higher education reform, self-reported gains in competences are an important aspect of academic course evaluation, which should be taken into account in the future and might be able to restructure the view of “quality of higher education.” The English version of the HEsaCom is presented in the Appendix .
