This study was conducted to develop and validate an instrument called sustainable performance (SP) in the banking sector. A mixed research design was used to understand the nature of SP techniques used by managers and employees from the banking sector. A qualitative approach was first employed to assess the types of SP techniques used through a set of interviews conducted with 11 bank managers. This was followed by a quantitative method to develop and validate an SP scale for use in the banking sector. Items for the assessment of SP were developed with a dataset comprising 415 people, and statistical analyses supported both the validity and reliability of this measurement instrument. This instrument consists of 39 items designed as a 5-point Likert scale. The study is restricted to the investigation that was conducted in certain banks operating in North Cyprus. The implications of the study suggest that managers and researchers could use SP to improve the firm performance of their organizations. This study makes a strong contribution by filling a gap in the literature. It focuses on assessing the SP performance of banks to understand their level of competitiveness.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the process of designing the measurement instrument that captures attitudes and perceptions of manifest forms of sustainable marketing in higher education in order to gain an insight into the way of how each selected group of higher education stakeholders perceive and understand the concept and the meaning of sustainable marketing. Methodology: In order to gain new knowledge, primary research was conducted on a purposive sampling of experts, where 104 valid and complete answers from selected stakeholders related to higher education were received. Quantitative analysis of the collected data was then applied, using descriptive statistics methods and procedures for determining the instrument’s dimensionality, validity and reliability. Results: After the exploratory factor analysis, the multidimensional structure of the proposed measurement instrument of sustainable marketing in higher education was determined, which meets all the given scale validity criteria. Conclusion: This research has formed a valid measurement instrument of sustainable marketing in higher education of statistical and theoretical significance, which can be used for further research, development and validation.

This study presents development and validation of a new measurement instrument to explore student-teachers' self-efficacy beliefs toward teaching. We developed and administered a survey to 346 student teachers at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey in the Department of Elementary Education in the spring term of the 2003–2004 academic year. The nature of the study is descriptive. The aim is to describe what the real situation is. Standard scale development methods and factor analysis were used. The results of the study were strongly supported by the validity and reliability of the survey. Cronbach's alpha was calculated and the reliability coefficient was 0.92. For purposes of examining content validity, the opinions of experts on 5 subject matters were taken. Factor analysis was made to elicit the fundamental dimensions of the survey. As a result of the Kalse-Meyer-Olkin and Bartlett test (0.93), factor analysis was administered to the survey. A single-factor model was specified for the structure of the survey as anticipated.

Purpose – This study investigates the consumer’s technology adoption toward electronic commerce. In addition to the variables perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use derived from TAM, the study included and tested factors like perceived security, perceived product value, personal cost, perceived enjoyment, perceived cost and perceived quality. Design/methodology/approach – A questionnaire was developed primarily based on the available scales in the already published literature. All model constructs requested participants to indicate their perceptions of Likert-style responses. The data analysis was executed using Smart PLS to test the validity and reliability of the measurement instrument.

This article outlines the development and validation of the Multidimensional Motivational Climate Observation System (MMCOS). Drawing from an integration of the dimensions of the social environment emphasized within achievement goal theory and self-determination theory (as assumed within Duda’s [2013] conceptualization of “empowering” and “disempowering” climates), the MMCOS was developed to enable an objective assessment of the coach-created motivational environment in sport. Study 1 supported the initial validity and reliability of the newly developed observation system. Study 2 further examined the interobserver reliability and factorial structure of the MMCOS. Study 3 explored the predictive validity of the observational system in relation to athletes’ reported basic psychological need satisfaction. Overall, the results of these studies provide preliminary support for the inter- and intraobserver reliability, as well as factorial and predictive validity of the MMCOS. Suggestions for the use of this observational system in future research in sport are provided.

An occupational therapist who involved with driving rehabilitation should use a proper evaluation in identifying safe driving behaviour during the pre-driving assessment. Many reports have stated that human factors contributed up to 97% of collision. This study aims to develop a psychological evaluation that measures human factors in traffic safety during the pre-driving assessment. This study was involved sequential mix methodology approach. The factor analysis was carried out to determine the validity and reliability of the evaluation (Cronbach alpha .887). Malaysia is considered one of the developing countries undergoing rapid economic development over the past five decades. As a developing country with a rapidly growing population, providing the citizens with comprehensive and updated knowledge is crucial for the country, particularly in vocational training. A number of vocational and technical training have been developed. However, the success of vocational education relies on the capability of instructors or teacher’s approach to achieve the goals. It is important to create appropriate method that take into consideration their students’ learning styles to get better outcome. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to develop vocational learning styles instrument. Empirical evidence on the validity and reliability of modified items has been done. A survey of 57 Electrical Technology students were distributed. The Rasch measurement model was used to examine the functional items and detect the item and respondent reliability and index separation, the polarity of item, measuring the fit of item in measuring the construct and standardised residual correlation values.
