It is of great theoretical and practical significance to achieve high-quality development that promotes the transformation of digestion, absorption, and re-innovation to an independent innovation model, actively participating in the restructuring of the industrial chain, and enhancing the status of the Yangtze River Delta in the global innovation chain. This study constructs a tripartite evolutionary game model of collaborative innovation led by the government, participated by upstream enterprises and downstream enterprises. Moreover, this article analyzes the strategic choices of the tripartite entities in the process of collaborative innovation, and the simulation analyzes the influencing factors of the government, upstream enterprises, and downstream enterprises’ collaborative innovation strategy selection. The results indicate that the government, upstream enterprises, and downstream enterprises have different degrees of influence on each other’s willingness to participate. In addition, the analysis proves that government policy support and financial support have different impacts on upstream enterprises and downstream enterprises.

Energy efficiency is the key to green development, and the government plays a vital role in energy efficiency. This paper clarifies the mechanism by which the Yangtze River Delta Economic Coordination Committee affects the energy efficiency of urban agglomeration by promoting market integration. Based on panel data of China's prefecture-level cities from 2004 to 2017, we take the Yangtze River Delta Economic Coordination Committee as a quasi-natural experiment of government cooperation and use the difference-in-difference method to test whether this organization has enhanced the energy efficiency of urban agglomeration. The results show that the Yangtze River Delta Economic Coordination Committee can significantly improve energy efficiency in urban agglomerations. The mechanism analysis shows that it reduces the energy consumption per unit of gross domestic product by enhancing the marketization level, perfecting the relationship between the government and the market, and improving the factor market development. The heterogeneity analysis shows that cities with lower city size, lower level of innovation, and cleaner industrial structures gain more benefits in energy efficiency from government cooperation in urban agglomeration. This paper provides empirical evidence for cities to realize integrated energy conservation through government cooperation and market integration.

With the deepening of economic globalization, the global freight volume has been constantly on the rise; and urban logistics space is gradually changing as well. Reorganization of urban logistics space is closely related to sustainable development. It has great influence on rational distribution of social resources, improvement of urban ecological environment, and balance of urban economic structure. This paper takes A-level logistics enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta as the object of study, aiming at revealing the spatial and temporal evolution of A-level logistics enterprises in Shanghai and Yangtze River Delta in 2005–2015 from the metropolitan and regional levels, respectively, and at providing reference for the rational planning of logistics space. The analysis result shows that the logistics sprawl occurs in various degrees in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta, and in the process of logistics enterprises moving from urban centers to the suburbs, the characteristics of logistics enterprises cluster keep emerging and gradually form a specific status. Then, we analyze the reasons underlying the formation of the spatial and temporal distribution pattern of logistics enterprises in light of relevant policies, geography and the sustainable development of economy, thus providing relevant suggestions for the government and logistics enterprises.

"The development plan of Yangtze River Delta city group" puts forward to promote the construction of the Yangtze River Delta city group and speed up the optimization and upgrading of the Yangtze River Delta city group. How to achieve social policy integration is the key to the construction of the Yangtze River Delta city group. This paper analyzes the factors that hinder the social policy integration of the Yangtze River Delta city group from employment, social security, health care, education and housing security and other aspects. Then we use the welfare pluralism theory to analyze the obstacles from the government, the society and the family of three subjects, and put forward the corresponding measures to solve the problems.

Abstract The gravity model is applied to construct a collaborative innovation network between cities in the Yangtze River Delta, analyzes its structural characteristics and evolution from a network perspective, and proposes development strategies. This will help optimize the network structure of collaborative innovation among cities in the Yangtze River Delta, improve the efficiency of collaborative innovation, and promote their innovation level together. Based on the data of urban innovation indexes in 2006, 2011 and 2016, this paper reveals the structural characteristics and evolution of the collaborative innovation network between cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and puts forward corresponding development strategies. The findings are as follows: (1) The overall innovation capability of cities in the Yangtze River Delta has been continuously improved, and the strength of collaborative innovation links between cities has slowly increased. (2) The innovation development of cities in the Yangtze River Delta is unbalanced and asymmetrical. The network presents a significant “core-periphery” spatial structure and a “multi-center, multi-level” pattern, and central cities drive the development of surrounding cities. (3) A reasonable regional innovation community should be constructed from the perspectives of spatial coordination, innovation industry chain integration and resource sharing, and the collaborative innovation network should be optimized.

Abstract The MATLAB implementation of grey neural network prediction modeling has been widely used.[1] Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the prediction process of grey GM (1,1) model, constructs the data of container throughput of some main ports in the Yangtze River Delta from 2016 to 2020, uses the powerful scientific calculation function of MATLAB, first accumulates the correlation coefficients a and B, and obtains the corresponding prediction model; Secondly, verify the original data with residuals and relative errors, and then predict the container throughput from 2021 to 2025. According to the prediction results, it provides suggestions for the logistics development of Shanghai port, which can provide a certain theoretical basis for the government departments to formulate the future development plan of the port to a certain extent.

Potentially toxic elements (PTEs) pollution in the agricultural soil of China, especially in developed regions such as the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) in eastern China, has received increasing attention. However, there are few studies on the long-term assessment of soil pollution by PTEs over large regions. Therefore, in this study, a meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the current state and temporal trend of PTEs pollution in the agricultural land of the Yangtze River Delta. Based on a review of 118 studies published between 1993 and 2020, the average concentrations of Cd, Hg, As, Pb, Cr, Cu, Zn, and Ni were found to be 0.25 mg kg−1, 0.14 mg kg−1, 8.14 mg kg−1, 32.32 mg kg−1, 68.84 mg kg−1, 32.58 mg kg−1, 92.35 mg kg−1, and 29.30 mg kg−1, respectively. Among these elements, only Cd and Hg showed significant accumulation compared with their background values. The eastern Yangtze River Delta showed a relatively high ecological risk due to intensive industrial activities. The contents of Cd, Pb, and Zn in soil showed an increasing trend from 1993 to 2000 and then showed a decreasing trend. The results obtained from this study will provide guidance for the prevention and control of soil pollution in the Yangtze River Delta.

In recent years, the impact of land-use systems on global climate change has become increasingly significant, and land-use change has become a hot issue of concern to academics, both within China and abroad. Urbanization, as an important socioeconomic factor, plays a vital role in promoting land-use transition, which also shows a significant spatial dependence on urbanization. This paper constructs a theoretical framework for the interaction relationship between urbanization and land-use transition, taking the Yangtze River Delta as an example, and measures the level of urbanization from the perspective of population urbanization, economic urbanization and social urbanization, while also evaluating the level of land-use morphologies from the perspective of dominant and recessive morphologies of land-use. We construct a PVAR model and coupled coordination model based on the calculated indexes for empirical analysis. The results show that the relationship between urbanization and land-use transition is not a simple linear relationship, but tends to be complex with the process of urbanization, and reasonable urbanization and land-use morphologies will promote further benign coupling in the system. By analyzing the interaction relationship between urbanization and land-use transition, this study enriches the study of land-use change and provides new pathways for thinking about how to promote high-quality urbanization.
