We show that, based on important reasons, differently from some recent claim in the literature, the YARK theory of gravity can reproduce neither the LIGO “GW150914 signal”, nor the other LIGO detections of gravitational waves (GWs).

We show that the stochastic background of gravitational waves, produced in the early cosmological epochs, depends strictly on the assumed theory of gravity. In particular, the specific form of the function f(R), where R is the Ricci scalar, is related to the evolution and the production mechanism of gravitational waves. On the other hand, detecting the stochastic background by the forthcoming interferometric experiments (VIRGO, LIGO, LISA) could be a further tool to select the effective theory of gravity.

A large majority of the physics and astronomy communities are now sure that gravitational waves exist, can be looked for, and can be studied via their effects on laboratory apparatus as well as on astronomical objects. So far, everything found out has agreed with the predictions of general relativity, but hopes are high for new information about the universe and its contents and perhaps for hints of a better theory of gravity than general relativity (which even Einstein expected to come eventually). This is one version of the story, from 1905 to the present, told from an unusual point of view, because the author was, for 28.5 years, married to Joseph Weber, who built the first detectors starting in the early 1960s and operated one or more until his death on 30 September 2000.

In the age of information, it is no secret that the modern science is in a very difficult position. On the one hand, it has high hopes for solving the problems of modern humanity and very practical tasks. On the other hand, science shows limited potential and difficulty in carrying out the tasks. Beyond scientific theory remain such phenomena as gravity and gravitational waves and other unexplored and very useful phenomena. Obviously, the reason for these limited capabilities of modern science is its limited foundation. The foundation of science is determined by its basic axioms. If we expand the foundation of science, we will be able to build a more comprehensive, perfect and voluminous theory. In two monographs and a series of articles the author offers a system of extended axioms (with two new axioms) and a more extended theory (with eight new laws). To the great surprise of even the author, this new theory turned out to be extensive enough to cover and explain and the gravity. Moreover, the extended axioms and theory directly and naturally outlined the algorithm in the explanation of the so-called Gravity Funnels. According to the new axioms and laws, Gravity Funnels are both for suction (accelerating) and for expansion (decelerating). Expansion Gravity Funnel decelerates along its longitudinal direction as emits the matter in the transverse direction. In this way it consumes energy and generates matter. Suction Gravity Funnel accelerates along its longitudinal direction as sucks the matter in transverse direction. In this way it consumes matter and generates energy. The both of Funnels are situated in a new Space-time. The Space-time of decelerating and accelerating Funnels is packed by longitudinal vortices, in which the Space (S) is constant. It is radically different of the Space-Time where we live now. The Space-time where we live now is packed by cross vortices, where the time (T) is constant. According the new Axioms and Laws the two described Space- times are mutually orthogonal.

I present the momentous discovery of gravitational waves, announced in 2016, starting from a confused Einstein who in 1936 tries to convince the scientific community that gravitational waves cannot exist (!), and then illustrating the extraordinary insights and breakthroughs that led 2017 Nobel Prize winners B. Barish, K. Thorne and R. Weiss to open an entirely new window on the Universe. This achievement has marked the beginning of a new era in science, and upcoming experiments have the potential to truly revolutionize our understanding of the Universe. Accounts of the perception of extra-terrestrial reality with senses beyond sight, such as those offered by astronauts who have been on the Moon, are exceedingly rare. That is hardly unsurprising: touch and taste require direct contact, while hearing and smell operate only over short distances, and are in any case confined to the Earth’s thin shell of atmosphere. Sight, on the other hand, allows us to collect the electromagnetic waves emitted by extraordinarily remote celestial objects.

Rip cosmological models have been investigated in the framework of [Formula: see text] theory of gravity, where [Formula: see text] denotes the torsion and [Formula: see text] is the trace of the energy–momentum tensor. These phantom cosmological models revealed that at initial epoch a EoS parameter [Formula: see text] tends asymptotically at late phase to [Formula: see text] [Formula: see text]. On the other hand, Wormhole Solutions and Big Trip have been subject to an investigation. The wormhole throat radius [Formula: see text] and the conditions to be satisfied to produce the Big Trip phenomenon have been discussed.

Abstract In this paper, we consider the structure of water and waves from viewpoints of two observers, one on 4-dimensional manifold and the other on 11-dimensional manifold. On a four dimensional manifold, if water contains molecules of DNA, it emits waves that by attaching to a second water, molecules give their information to it and produce new structures which are affected by the existence of DNA molecules and can be detected by PCR. Type of DNA packings in men and women are different. Consequently, their radiated waves are different and for storing their information, we need to two types of water. However on a four dimensional manifold, the structures of water are approximately the same. There is a probability that differences between various types of water could be observed in extra dimensions. On the other hand, waves that interact with water in extra dimensions can play the role of topoisomerases in biology on 11-dimensional manifold. They open packings of DNA, read it’s information and transmit it to water. Properties of these topoisomerase-like waves are different from electromagnetic and gravitational waves. However, by reducing the number of dimensions from 11 to 4, these waves become similar to known waves in four dimensions. Two structures of water and wave in extra dimensions have effects in nature. For example, waters inside the egg of women and water outside it have different structures which causes to emergence of the entanglement between them. If sperm enter water outside the egg, this entanglement is broken and some holes appear inside the egg. To fill these holes, sperms are teleported from water to water inside the egg. Another effect is radiating some topoisomerase like waves of earth and sun which are helpful for plants and transcription and translation in cells. In some cases, these waves interact with water, extract DNA from it’s structure in extra dimensions and create life.

The generation of massive Gravitational Waves (GW) from metric f(R) theory of gravity is studied and the sensitivity of a spherical antenna detector towards such a wave is looked into. The energy sensitivity is maximum for the monopole mode of the sphere. Of the five quadrupole modes of a sphere, only three are triggered by a massive wave. Also, the sensitivity of a spherical antenna with mechanical resonators attached to it is studied. The Truncated Icosahedral Gravitational wave Antenna (TIGA), originally proposed for detecting the effect of massless GW on the quadrupole modes of a sphere, has been modified in this paper to get a Modified TIGA, in order to detect the sensitivity of monopole modes towards a massive wave.

We investigate some exact static cylindrically symmetric solutions for a perfect fluid in the metric f(R) theory of gravity. For this purpose, three different families of solutions are explored. We evaluate energy density, pressure, Ricci scalar and functional form of f(R). It is interesting to mention here that two new exact solutions are found from the last approach, one is in particular form and the other is in the general form. The general form gives a complete description of a cylindrical star in f(R) gravity.
