Species of the genus Trichoderma have been used as growth inhibitors and regulators of phytopathogens. The aim of this work was to study and molecularly characterize the species of the genus Trichoderma that can be found in the rhizosphere of cocoa agroforestry systems in the state of Tabasco, Mexico. Four composite samples were taken from each of three municipalities (Cardenas, Comacalco and Cunduacan). Thirty homogeneous sub-samples were taken (0-30 cm of depth) from each site (plantation) in a random zig-zag pattern across the middle part of the plantations, avoiding the edges. Thirteen strains of the Trichoderma genus were isolated and morphologically identified, while two species, T. harzianum and T. koningiopsi, were molecularly identified. Of the 13 strains, only five were amplified, and of these five, four corresponded to T. harzianum and one to T. koningiopsi.

Several are phytopathogens that limit the production of cassava (Manihot esculata Crants) being rot of the roots to which they marry the greatest loss in the crop reaching 70%. This culture is of high interest to the Northeast region of Brazil, providing great losses. The difficulties in management have directed the search for alternatives, among which, biocontrollers have shown significant results. This literature review aimed to gather information related to the rot of cassava root cv Rosinha, the main phytopathogens and antagonistic activities of Trichoderma in the control of diseases in the state of Alagoas. A bibliographic survey was carried out in the databases Scielo, Google Acadêmico, Capes portal (theses and dissertations), journals and books. To obtain information on: root rot of table cassava, Trichoderma spp., as a biocontrol agent of phytopathogens.

We studied the effectiveness of application of Trichoderma spp. in controlling white mold on common beans at the fall-winter crop in the Zona da Mata region of the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. There was no effect of the antagonist in reducing the disease severity, which could be explained by the low temperatures and the high inoculum pressure in the field. We concluded that Trichoderma applications are not recommended for control of white mold on common beans at the fall-winter season in regions with average temperature bellow 20 °C, since this condition favor more the pathogen than the antagonist.

The objective of this work was to evaluate the thermal and biological treatment efficiency of anthracnose (Colletotrichum musae) in banana cv. 'Pacovan'. Three experiments were set up in the laboratory, the first "in vitro" to select the isolate of Trichoderma spp. which had greater mycelial inhibition on plaque, the 2nd "in vivo" was biological control using 2 races of Trichoderma spp. and the 3rd in vivo varying temperatures and exposure times of banana fruits contaminated with Colletotrichum musae. Positive treatments (using fungicide) and negative treatments were done with the application of distilled water only for experiment 2 and 3. The antagonistic biological control agents T2 and T9 were efficient in inhibiting the growth of Colletotrichum musae "in vitro", when analyzed "in vivo" did not have efficiency in the inhibition of the growth of the pathogen. Thermotherapy is a promising technique for the treatment of postharvest rot in banana fruits of 'Pacovan' cultivar, with the best efficiencies observed at 47ºC for 3 and 9 min, and 51º for 3 and           9 min.

Various authors have emphasized the spatial information resident in an electron micrograph taken with adequately coherent radiation. In view of the completion of at least one such instrument, this opportunity is taken to summarize the state of the art of processing such micrographs. We use the usual symbols for the aberration coefficients, and supplement these with £ and 6 for the transverse coherence length and the fractional energy spread respectively. He also assume a weak, biologically interesting sample, with principal interest lying in the molecular skeleton remaining after obvious hydrogen loss and other radiation damage has occurred.
