The article presents a refined mathematical model for assessing the structural stability of the communication direction of a telecommunication network based on the integral connectivity coefficient, which takes into account independent and dependent information transmission paths. An approach to modeling the reliability function for inseparable structures is given.

This paper theoretically analyzes the atmospheric influences on Ultraviolet (UV) communication, in which the main considerations include atmospheric absorption and atmospheric scattering. Through the establishment of mathematical model, this paper describes the atmospheric transmittance with different wavelengths. Finally, the atmospheric transmittance is simulated under different visibilities, rainfall and paths. The results show that the atmospheric transmittance will be different with different wavelengths, visibilities and rainfall. The atmospheric transmittance in horizontal path is larger than that in the vertical path. This research provides a theoretical guidance on the using of UV communication for the information transmission in power grid.

This article studies the scheduling of block erection in shipbuilding. A mathematical model is formulated to minimize the make span, i.e., the time between the start and finish of the erection schedule, when there are different lifting and block joining times. Structural stability and the no-skipped-blocks property are taken as constraints. The model is used to study the erection in three special cases. First, the case with a short lifting time is analyzed. Second, a solution is constructed for the case in which joining times are short and, third, the case in which the lifting and joining times are the same is analyzed. The article shows how these three cases can be solved efficiently, and, in addition, it gives insight into the erection scheduling such as the effects of the number of blocks in the horizontal and vertical directions on different joining times.

Various approaches to improving the stability of telecommunications networks, which lead to optimizing the data transfer process by increasing the speed and finding the most optimal data transfer path, are presented. It is noted that the reduction of the data exchange time between subscribers will occur along the shortest path, which will significantly affect the quality of information, its importance, and the need for conducting combat operations in the condition of electronic counteraction of the enemy.

Reliability, Availability and Cost Analysis of Large Multi-State Systems with Ageing ComponentsBasic notions of the system multi-state reliability analysis are introduced. The multi-state series system with degrading components is defined and its exact reliability function is determined. The limit reliability function for large multi-state systems is introduced. An auxiliary theorem on limit reliability function of a large multi-state series system, which is necessary for its approximate reliability evaluation, is presented. On the basis of this auxiliary theorem some corollaries are formulated and proved and then applied to approximate reliability and availability determination of a large multi-state series system. Evaluations are given of a multi-state system reliability function, its mean lifetimes in the state subsets and their standard deviations, mean value and variance of the lifetime up to and the number of exceeding the system reliability critical state and its availability coefficient. The cost analysis of a multi-state series system is performed as well. The results are applied to a large telecommunication network reliability, availability and cost analysis.

The necessity of developing a mathematical model for the functioning of adaptive routing protocols in telecommunication networks with the ability to self-organize has been substantiated. The results of the study of the information transmission route choice in communication networks with the possibility of self-organization under the influence of deliberate interference and cyber-attacks are presented. New analytical dependencies have been obtained that allow calculating the influence of destabilizing factors on the efficiency of determining the route in the network. Object of research: development of a mathematical model of the functioning of adaptive routing protocols in telecommunication networks with the ability to self-organize. Investigated problem: taking into account additional destabilizing factors when choosing the information transmission route. Main scientific results: when forming a route in a special-purpose network with the possibility of self-organization, the following are taken into account: battery charge, information transfer rate, the presence of cyber-attacks, the presence of deliberate interference, the reliability of the route and the time of packet delivery to the addressee. It has been established that the use of all parameters in the system allows to increase both the total operating time of a special-purpose network with the ability to self-organize as a whole, and an individual node. It is shown that the presence of a DoS attack in the network is identified by increasing the delay time for information transmission between network nodes. Review of the practical use of research results: automated systems for various purposes. Innovative technologies product: a technology for choosing the information transfer route, which can increase the efficiency of choosing the information transfer route, taking into account additional destabilizing factors. Review of an innovative technological product: automated control systems, network controllers when choosing a route for information transmission.
