A study with a quantitative focus was carried out on 140 small companies in the commerce sector of Ciudad Obregón Sonora, which sought to achieve the objective of analyzing the impact of the company's resources and transformational leadership in the process of strategic management; which allowed an analysis of the strategic situation of these companies. For the scope of the objective, the process of the scientific method was used, where a 36-question instrument with six levels of Likert scale was applied, and the SMART-PLS Model, Structural Equations, was used for statistical analysis, where the Resources variable was observed to have a positive, direct and highly significant effect on the Strategic Management variable, on the other hand, Transformational Leadership has a positive and direct but not statistically significant effect on the Strategic Management variable, Strategic Management, (a.k.a. .218, p<-090 n.s.). This research concluded that the entrepreneur is unclear about his leadership and that when a strategy is formulated and executed efficiently through the correct allocation of resources at each stage of it, a successful situation is achieved in the company's strategy.

The traditional statistical analysis of data follows what has come to be known as the scientific method: collecting reliable data to test plausible theories. Data mining goes in the other direction, analyzing data without being motivated or encumbered by theories. The fundamental problem with data mining is simple: We think that data patterns are unusual and therefore meaningful. Patterns are, in fact, inevitable and therefore meaningless. This is why data mining is not usually knowledge discovery, but noise discovery. Finding correlations is easy. Good data scientists are not seduced by discovered patterns because they don’t put data before theory. They do not commit Texas Sharpshooter Fallacies or fall into the Feynman Trap.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to explore the dual effects of task conflict on team creativity and the role of team-focused transformational leadership (TFL) as a key contingency in the task conflict–team creativity relationship.Design/methodology/approachData were collected from 325 teams across ten large companies in South Korea. The study tested the hypothesized moderated mediation model using an SPSS macro (PROCESS, Hayes, 2008).FindingsResults showed that task conflict is directly and positively related to team creativity and is negatively and indirectly related to team creativity via relationship conflict. Furthermore, the study found that team-focused TFL moderates all paths through which task conflict affects team creativity. Specifically, team-focused TFL enhances the positive direct effect of task conflict and alleviates the negative indirect effects of task conflict on team creativity.Research limitations/implicationsAlthough this study could not test the causal chains of the proposed relationships owing to a cross-sectional nature of data, the present research provides theoretical implications for the conflict, leadership and team creativity literatures. The study highlights the role of transformational leadership in the process through which team conflict is managed so as to increase team creativity.Practical implicationsTo capitalize on the creativity-related benefits associated with task conflict, managers will need to pay attention to the role they can play and their leadership that emphasizes collective goals and identity. Managers and team leaders are also expected to intervene in conflict situations to minimize the harmful effect of task conflict that may take place owing to the association between task conflict and relationship conflict.Social implicationsThe findings will have implications for any social contexts where people work together toward common goals. In such contexts, the study emphasizes the role of leadership in teams to use the creative potential associated with different opinions and values regarding what and how work to be completed.Originality/valueThe study’s examination of the dual paths through which task conflict affects team creativity brings insights into why the impact of task conflict on team creativity has been inconsistent or unclear in past research. This paper also articulates a leader’s role in teams in relation to managing team conflict to increase team creativity.

Innovation capability is regarded the fundamental factor for firms to survive and achieve competitive advantage in the context of increasing competitive pressure. The purpose of this paper is to elaborate the impacts of transformational leadership (TL) on innovation product via mediating role of a certain form of organizational culture namely collaborative culture. The paper used Structural Equations Modeling (SEM) to examine the relationship among these latent factors using survey data gathered from 215 participants of 61 medium and small-sized firms in Vietnam. The findings of this study highlight the significant impact of TL on product innovation compared to the impact of collaborative culture on product innovation. This study reveals that collaborative culture significantly serves as a crucial mediator in linking the effects of TL on product innovation. Importantly, the findings of this study have advanced the understanding and brought new initiatives on key antecedents by which CEOs and managers should follow and focus their efforts to improve product innovation capability for Vietnamese SMEs. Keywords: Transformational leadership; Organizational culture; Collaborative culture; Product innovation; Innovation capability

The presence of small and medium-sized enterprises on the Internet in the era of increasing global competition has become a necessity. These entities have begun to notice the benefits that can be obtained by using modern IT tools in various areas of their operations. The aim of the paper is to analyse and evaluate the impact of the use of IT tools in various areas of SMEs’ operations on creating their entrepreneurial orientation. The implementation of such a goal required, on the one hand, a literature review and an analysis of current research on the IT tools used by small and medium-sized enterprises in the context of creating their entrepreneurial orientation, and on the other hand, conducting the author’s own research among small companies. Quantitative research was carried out from December 2017 to January 2018 among 400 small enterprises in Poland by means of a survey questionnaire using the CATI technique.

The impetus of the present study was to scrutinize the impact of planning and proficiency on 172 EFL learners’ written task performance regarding concept load, fluency, complexity and accuracy. Planning was operationalized at two levels: pretask planning (PTP) and on- line planning (OLP). Participants of this study were two groups, high and low proficiency learners who were randomly chosen. The first group was required to plan for their performance for 10 minutes and take notes before they performed the tasks, whilst the participants in the second group began writing immediately and took time as long as they like. The participants’ performances were then analyzed utilizing paired samples t-test. The results of statistical analysis showed that low-proficiency learners appear to benefit more from planning time with respect to concept load, fluency, and complexity. On the other hand, high-proficiency learners were advantaged by planning time concerning concept load and accuracy.

Abstract Fiscal pressure is often considered a barometer for the impact and level of taxation experienced by individual taxpayers and businesses. In Romania, the study of the tax burden has been and will remain a highly debated topic in a national as well as European context. Thus, in this article, we conducted a descriptive statistical analysis of the evolution of the tax burden in Romania, and showcased the research results in different graphically expressive ways (maps, tables, graphs), all presented from a dual perspective. On the one hand, we followed the impact of taxation on households, and on the other hand, in a broader approach, we highlighted the tax burden reflected at the county and regional level

It has been 32 years since the eruption of Mount Galunggung that the land snail diversity in the area were examined, not only in the stricken area but also in the secure place on the other side. The recent collection found 250 snails of 10 families (29 species). In the impacted area, 15 species (154 individuals) of land snails were discovered, whereas 18 species (96 individuals) were discovered in the unimpacted area. By a t-Student statistical analysis (95% confidence interval) for comparison between area of equal variances it was discovered that the two area differ significantly. The analysis was continued by using NMDS of PAST to show the difference more detail. This research proves that the snail assemblage in the impact area of eruption area were different with the snail’s assemblage in the unimpacted other side of the Mount.

This study examines the impact of workers' compensation benefits on the allocation of resources to injury prevention, using unpublished data from OSHA on injury rates in manufacturing industries within 36 states. The analysis shows that higher compensation benefits are associated with lower severity rates of injury, suggesting that higher benefits induce employers to spend more on the prevention of serious injuries. On the other hand, higher benefits are also associated with higher frequency rates of injury, suggesting that higher benefits induce employees to take less care in preventing less serious injuries. The author suggests ways of resolving this dilemma and stresses that his findings show that decisions about the structure of workers' compensation laws should not be based solely on income security considerations, as they often are.
