The organisational ability to utilise its knowledge is inseparably linked to its innovation performance. Knowledge is characterized as valuable, rare, inimitable and non-substitutable (VRIN) resources. Those characteristics are key resources to achieve organisational performance (Ferreira & Hamilton, 2010; Wang, 2014; Hussinki, Ritala, Vanhala, and Kianto, 2017). Within literature, there are two streams of academics discussion relating to knowledge in organisation. Those are intellectual capital (IC) literature, and knowledge management (KM) literature (Ramadan, Dahiyat, Bontis, & Al-dalahmeh, 2017; Kianto, Ritala, Spender, & Vanhala, 2014). The first stream considers IC as static resources or materials for organisational value creation. While the later sees KM as processes to create organisational value. Even though many studies have considers the important role of IC and KM Processes (KMPs) in creating values, however there are only limited studies examine IC and KMPs interaction to support innovation performance (IP) (Hsu & Sabherwal, 2012; Cabrilo and Dahms, 2018). Most of the existing studies have contented themselves with assessing IC or KM value level, and then correlating those two to IP. There are far less studies examining to what extent KMPs are consciously implemented within organisations, and furthermore, how the implementation of KMPs impacts the quality of IC leading to the success of IP. To bridge these gaps in the existing knowledge, the current paper examines how KMPs impacts on organisational IC and IP. This study suggested that IC as static resources could be examined as a mediation of KMPs influence on IP. The idea is that KMPs have the abilities to renew IC, leading to support organisational IP. Accordingly, the rationale for this study is to develop a conceptual model of KMPs-IC-IP causal relationship, and provide empirical evidence on the model. This study is expected to contribute to a broader knowledge of the extent IC that can mediate KMPs and IP relationship. Purpose This study aims to analyse the complementary role of structural and relational capital (as the outcomes of codification and personalisation knowledge management strategies) in renewal capital and innovation in high- and low-tech companies. Design/methodology/approach The primary data, which were collected through a structured questionnaire from 180 Spanish companies, are analysed using structural equation modelling based on partial least squares. Findings Overall, the study offers three fundamental findings. First, it demonstrates the outstanding role of renewal capital as an intellectual capital (IC) component; second, it provides a conceptual analysis of the connection between knowledge management strategies and IC; and third, it highlights the necessity of considering the technological level of the firm as a contingency variable affecting the IC–innovation relationship. Research limitations/implications The study has three apparent limitations: The sample of firms is restricted to Spanish companies, data concerning the main study variables were collected from only one person at each firm, and not all of the possible components of IC were included in the research model. Practical implications Business practitioners can find useful guidelines for making efficient use of knowledge resources when boosting innovation performance, depending on the technological level of their firms. Originality/value Although many studies have tried to disentangle the IC–innovation connection, this study is unique, as it considers knowledge management strategies, a novel combination of IC components and the level of technological sophistication in the same analysis.

Purpose- In today’s heavy competitive environment, organizations have found that the knowledge is the best tool for keeping up with competitors. In this regard, the role of employees, as knowledge holders and the most important capital of organizations have been being taken into account more than before. Since the existence of social capital in organizations lead to improvement and development of knowledge management processes (KMP), examining the level of social capital as an important dimension of intellectual capital and its role in KMP is the main purpose of this article. Design/methodology/approach- By reviewing the existing literature and using standardized questionnaire, it was tried to examine the relationship between social capital and KMP through the moderating role of organic structure and innovative culture in the organization. After review of the existing literature in depth, we took advantages of Nahapiet and Ghoshal Model for measuring social capital and in order to measure the KMP, Bukowitz and Williams Model was used. The main hypothesis of this research was that there was a significant relationship between KMP and social capital through moderating role of organic structure and innovative culture in the organization. In order to test the hypothesis, using the test methods for correlation coefficients (Pearson and Spearman), a standardized questionnaire was designed and distributed among our target segment including faculty members, researchers and administrative staffs of university. Findings- The results showed that contrary to our expectation, considering moderator variables, structure and culture does not have positive and significant effect on KMP in the level of the organic structure and innovative culture of social capital. It was revealed that considering those two variables, social capital does have a significant and positive effect on KMP in the level of mechanical structure and non-innovative culture. We also found that there was a considerable relationship between cognitive and relational dimensions of social capital and KMP. Besides that, it was understood that there was a positive and significant relationship between each of organic structure and innovative culture’s variables and social capital and KMP’s variables. Research limitations/implications– Risks of method variance or response biases are likely as all Data are drawn from employee surveys, and some selection bias as respondents could not be directly compared with non-respondents. Originality/value – This study makes a significant contribution to the intangible assets literature by providing further evidence of the impact of culture and structure on intellectual capital.

The ability to create innovations is one of the most important sources of a competitive advantage forevery modern organization, region, and state. In today’s context as a particularly significant problem arises the issue of the role of leaders in organizing effective knowledge management and innovation processes. Although the topic of leadership was analyzed quite extensively in the second half of the 20th century, in the 21st century, it is recognized that organizations of this age need a new quality of leadership, as the organizations themselves and their environments are undergoing profound changes. This paper analyzes the changing approaches to leadership and its role in a modern organization, focusing on the concept of innovative leadership and its peculiarities in order to identify the components of this phenomenon and their links to knowledge management and innovation processes. After analyzing significant aspects of this topic, identified were the relationships between innovative leadership, knowledge management, and innovation performance, as well as an integral theoretical model of innovative leadership, knowledge management, and innovation performance for driving continuous innovation performance has been developed.

This research aims at uncovering the importance of introducing the knowledge management knowledge in the Saudi curriculum and activating the role of knowledge management processes in the Saudi curricula and encouraging them to adopt them in the work based on scientific and practical reasons which contribute to achieving the quality of education. Objective – Low amounts of management research have taken into account the link between knowledge management processes and intellectual capital in innovation success. This study empirically investigates the mediation role of intellectual capital in the relationship between knowledge management processes and innovation performance. Methodology/Technique – The research questionnaires were distributed to 297 small and medium enterprises wearing apparel companies in Indonesia. The primary statistic methodology for data analysis was Partial Least Square. Findings – The study found that knowledge management processes and intellectual capital significantly influence innovation performance. The development and expansion of knowledge management as an important management philosophy has a significant impact on human resources management as well as on organization as a whole. In this context, knowledge management processes have been used as a strategic tool within human resources management.Therefore, functions of human resources management must adapt itself to this change. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of human resources management in the management of knowledge and to reveal the effects of knowledge management practices on the functions of human resources byexamining the relationship between human resources and knowledge management. In this context, a theoretical investigation was conducted. It has been determined that significant changes occurred on the functions of human resources management such as selection and recruitment, performance management, remuneration and reward, training and development within the framework of the knowledge management strategies.

PurposeConstructed upon a knowledge-based view, the purpose of this paper aims to empirically examine the entrepreneurial leadership impact as knowledge management enabler on knowledge management processes and knowledge management processes on project success. The study further ascertains the mediating role of knowledge worker satisfaction among knowledge management processes and project success.Design/methodology/approachUsing the data collected from 302 project workers from the software industry, China. The research used structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyze the hypothesis relationships using smart-PLS 3.2.9.FindingsThe outcome of the study reveals that entrepreneurial leadership has a substantial significant impact on knowledge management processes, and knowledge management processes influence project success via knowledge worker satisfaction as a mediator both directly and indirectly. Moreover, the study found partial mediation of knowledge worker satisfaction between knowledge management processes and project success.Practical implicationsThe current research identifies that entrepreneurial leadership may play a role in fostering knowledge management processes in project-based organizations (e.g. software industry) that can use the knowledge management processes to increase their chances of project success. More broadly, the current study contributes to the entrepreneurial leadership, knowledge management processes, knowledge worker satisfaction and project success existing literature and strengthens the relationship and suggest that how project manager's value knowledge worker satisfaction and help organizations gain competitive advantage and project success.Originality/valueAlthough there is an increased significance of knowledge management in the software industry, there is a lack of research that examines the enabling factors and outcomes of knowledge management practices. The present study is one of the first studies to ascertain the relationship of entrepreneurial leadership, knowledge management processes, knowledge worker satisfaction and project success. This is one of the initial researches that not only empirically examines the interrelationships among these variables but also enlighten insights into the current literature by instantaneous investigation of the mediating role of knowledge worker satisfaction.
