scholarly journals An Innovative Model for both Cloud Security and Privacy in Provision of Secure Cloud Services

Because of diverse benefits such as counting services on demand, decreasing costs, computing resources configuration, flexibility, services scalability, etc. over internet, Cloud Computing has become and is becoming widely and hugely accepted technology to provide services. On the other hand, privacy and security of a cloud has become an issue as this technology is tremendously emerging in the world. Many researches are being done and even some proposed various models to identify and overcome the privacy and security issues. In this review, for the cloud providers to use during different stages of cloud services, a layered cloud security and privacy model (CSPM) will be provided. The CSPM model allows to overcome cloud security issues and thus, providing safe and protected services. Lastly, countermeasures and security threats will be presented.

IoT technology and applications represents security as a significant issue for facilitating the tremendous implementation.     Devoid of IoTs technology ensures the device level confidentiality, privacy and authenticity. The applicable users are not going to     undertake answers for security in IoT in huge scale. The earlier stage deployments of IoT devices are primarily based on RFIDs         technology which results in simplest, security solutions inside the principal been devised in an advert hoc manner [8]. This brings the fact that such deployments were typically vertically incorporated, with all additives beneath the manage of a single administrative entity. In the angle of an IoT eco-system, in which unique person may be worried in a given software state of affairs. One person owing the      physical operations of  sensors, one stakeholder deals with the statistics and processing them and other numerous stakeholders supplies different services based totally on such statistics to the customers. This leads to numerous variety of safety demanding situations and security for the IoT. In this paper, we address the revisited security issues and discuss the critical safety protection conditions of Internet of Things era into a mainstream. To support this, the three key problems requiring cutting-edge techniques includes are data               confidentiality, privacy and trust. In this review, we presented net factors with architectural design goals of IoT. We surveyed security and privacy issues in IoTs. Also the discussion on several open issues based on the privacy and security is addressed. Many real time applications of IoTs in real life treats the security issues of IoT as a main factor. Thus the IoT of complicated security issues have been anticipated the researchers to address.

Cloud Computing allows firms to outsource their entire information technology (IT) process, allowing them to concentrate more on their core business to enhance their productivity and innovation in offering services to customers. It allows businesses to cut down heavy cost incurred over IT infrastructure without losing focus on customer needs. However, to a certain limit adopting Cloud computing has struggled to grow among many established and growing organizations due to several security and privacy related issues. Throughout the course of this study several interviews were conducted, with cloud developers and security experts, and the literature was reviewed. This study enabled us to understand, current and future, security and privacy challenges with cloud computing by providing suitable solutions to identified challenges. The outcome of this study led to identification of total 18, current and future, security issues affecting several attributes of cloud computing. In this process of identification, the author also found mitigation techniques to avert these security issues. A security guide is formulated which enables organizations to be aware of security challenges, vulnerabilities and techniques to evade them.

Cloud computing has paved an excellent platform for the emergence of cost-effective technological solutions. However, security and privacy issues still remain as a stringent challenge during service catering. Explicitly, the service utility anomalies are liable to cause severe privacy and security issues in cloud service delivery. So, the overall performance of cloud service consumption and end-user applications’ service levels utility is degraded. The open access and distributed nature of the cloud computing is the major reason for its vulnerability to intruders. The security and privacy in cloud services have many challenges and problems still open for research. This paper proposes an intrusion detection method capable of detecting nine categories of attacks in two stages. This paper focuses on establishing a network-based intrusion detection mechanism using machine learning techniques. A model will be constructed with a supervised learning methodology using historical network flowdata and flowdata collected from the Internet.

Health care information has great potential for improving the health care system and also providing fast and accurate outcomes for patients, predicting disease outbreaks, gaining valuable information for prediction in future, preventing such diseases, reducing healthcare costs, and improving overall health. In any case, deciding the genuine utilization of information while saving the patient's identity protection is an overwhelming task. Regardless of the amount of medical data it can help advance clinical science and it is essential to the accomplishment of all medicinal services associations, at the end information security is vital. To guarantee safe and solid information security and cloud-based conditions, It is critical to consider the constraints of existing arrangements and systems for the social insurance of information security and assurance. Here we talk about the security and privacy challenges of high-quality important data as it is used mainly by the healthcare structure and similar industry to examine how privacy and security issues occur when there is a large amount of healthcare information to protect from all possible threats. We will discuss ways that these can be addressed. The main focus will be on recently analyzed and optimized methods based on anonymity and encryption, and we will compare their strengths and limitations, and this chapter closes at last the privacy and security recommendations for best practices for privacy of preprocessing healthcare data.

The advent of online social networks (OSN) has transformed a common passive reader into a content contributor. It has allowed users to share information and exchange opinions, and also express themselves in online virtual communities to interact with other users of similar interests. However, OSN have turned the social sphere of users into the commercial sphere. This should create a privacy and security issue for OSN users. OSN service providers collect the private and sensitive data of their customers that can be misused by data collectors, third parties, or by unauthorized users. In this paper, common security and privacy issues are explained along with recommendations to OSN users to protect themselves from these issues whenever they use social media.

The main goal of any data storage model on the cloud is accessing data in an easy way without risking its security. A security consideration is a major aspect in any cloud data storage model to provide safety and efficiency. In this paper, we propose a secure data protection model over the cloud. The proposed model presents a solution to some security issues of cloud such as data protection from any violations and protection from a fake authorized identity user, which adversely affects the security of the cloud. This paper includes multiple issues and challenges with cloud computing that impairs security and privacy of data. It presents the threats and attacks that affect data residing in the cloud. Our proposed model provides the benefits and effectiveness of security in cloud computing such as enhancement of the encryption of data in the cloud. It provides security and scalability of data sharing for users on the cloud computing. Our model achieves the security functions over cloud computing such as identification and authentication, authorization, and encryption. Also, this model protects the system from any fake data owner who enters malicious information that may destroy the main goal of cloud services. We develop the one-time password (OTP) as a logging technique and uploading technique to protect users and data owners from any fake unauthorized access to the cloud. We implement our model using a simulation of the model called Next Generation Secure Cloud Server (NG-Cloud). These results increase the security protection techniques for end user and data owner from fake user and fake data owner in the cloud.

The growing pervasiveness of the internet and the rise of social media have revolutionised how individuals communicate and interact with one another. Serving as an effective conduit for communication, these technological advancements have also been exploited by individuals with malicious intent (e.g., criminals, violent extremists). As the world witnesses an upward trend of such crime and security concerns in the online sphere, it places the ‘responsibility' on intelligence and law enforcement agencies to respond with the appropriate technological interventions. Thus, this article will discuss how digital footprints can be leveraged to identify potential security threats, particularly for crime and security issues that will result in negative repercussion at the national level, such as acts of violent extremism and hate crimes.
