In any business organization job satisfaction is important key factor for reduction in employees. It is an established fact that the success of any organization depends on the satisfaction of its work force. Employees regarding their satisfaction, it is a widely believed that employees participation affects employees job satisfaction. The employees are productivity and they all can create competitive advantage for the organization. The present study investigates the relationship between employee participation and job satisfaction in banking sector. For the purpose of study the data was collected from SBI bank employee job satisfaction, public sector banks one of the leading Bank from SBI banks in Rayalaseema Division Andhra Pradesh. In their recent scenario especially after globalization, Customers attrition is very high especially public sector banks to private sector banks. One of the reasons for the higher attrition is the poor banking services. Hence every commercial bank attempts to make their employees satisfied in their job and tries to attract more customers.A satisfied and happy and hardworking employee is the biggest asset of any organization, including banking sector also.

The purpose of this chapter is to emphasize the effect of bank employee turnover on profitability. Researchers so far have commonly studied employee turnover, job satisfaction, and commitment. The current research intends to fill the gap by focusing on the relationship between employee turnover and profitability. In this chapter, firstly, employee turnover, its terminology, and the nature of turnover are defined. This relationship in the banking sector is analyzed and three private banks in Turkey are scrutinized. The main argument of the research is that there is an adverse relationship between employee turnover and bank profitability. Conversely, the results of the study do not thoroughly support the assumption. As a result, findings show that banks minimize the effects of economic crisis by dismissal and not recruiting new employees to replace a quitting worker or recruiting for a new position.

Organizations face many challenges regarding employee engagement and employee job satisfaction. To increase the level of employee job satisfaction, HIWP must be implemented in order to have an impact on employee performance satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between high-involvement work practices (HIWP) and job satisfaction with the mediating effect of employee engagement; HIWPs consist of four main attributes: (a) power (b) information (c) reward (d) knowledge. This study investigates the relationship between the three variables. Here, convenience sampling was used and data were collected through questionnaires from 185 organizational respondents in the banking sector. Regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis and Andrew F. Hayes model 4 was used to examine the mediating effect. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the mediating variables and the effect of employee engagement. This study expands on HIWP employment and job satisfaction. The practical implication of this research is to measure the level of job satisfaction of employees by using HIWP can be implemented for managers and employees.

Tanzania public sector has been undergoing various reforms to improve public service delivery and employee satisfaction. The government has been trying to improve employee welfare and create conducive work environment for the public servants. Despite the efforts, job satisfaction levels of staff in the Tanzania public sector are generally low and unsatisfactory. The study examined the relationship between leadership styles and job satisfaction in Tanzania public sector. The study intended to achieve two specific objectives. The first objective was to examine the relationship between transformational leadership style and employee job satisfaction. The second objective was to examine the relationship between transactional leadership style and employee job satisfaction. The study used Morogoro Municipal Council as a case study from which data were collected by using a close ended questionnaire from 92 respondents. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed. The study found that job satisfaction was average among the respondents with mean value of 3.04. Comparatively, transactional leadership mean value was higher (Mean=4.14) than that of transformational leadership (mean=3.28). Regression analysis showed that both transactional leadership style (β=0.585, p=0.000) and transformational leadership (β=0.032, p=0.001) were found to be significant predictors of job satisfaction. The results showed that transformational leadership style had a stronger relationship with job satisfaction than transformational leadership style.

Employee job satisfaction has been widely acknowledged as one of the most important factors in the performance and productivity of the employees working in an organization. There are certain factors that contribute towards the job satisfaction of the employee’s and one such widely renowned factor is the training of the employees. The relationship between job satisfaction and the training of employees is further moderated by the organizational culture. This study analyzed the impacts of employees training on the level of their job satisfaction under the moderating effects of the organizational culture. Three different dimensions of satisfaction i.e. satisfaction with Pay, work itself and interpersonal relationship was analyzed in the study. Primary data was collected from as ample of 200 employees from different banks operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, T-test and regression analysis techniques. The results of the study presented that Hierarchy and Adhocracy culture are the two most dominant cultures prevailing in the banking sector of Pakistan. The results further present that training has significant association with the level of job satisfaction of the employees with their, pay, work itself and interpersonal relationship. The results further established the moderating role of Adhocracy and Hierarchy Culture in determining the relationship between Training and job satisfaction of the employees.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explicate the role of followership behavior on employee job satisfaction as well as the conditions that may moderate its impact. Design/methodology/approach – This study uses a large n survey data from federal agencies and investigates an additive moderation model in which two situational factors, perceived supervisor support (PSS) and performance-oriented culture (POC), interact with followership behavior. Findings – Employees high on active followership perceived greater job satisfaction when PSS was high, rather than low. On the other hand, employees high on active followership perceived greater job satisfaction when POC was low, rather than high. Research limitations/implications – This is, to the knowledge, the first empirical study based on a cross-sectional survey that tests how the effects of active followership on employee job satisfaction may vary depending on the different types of situational factors. As such, more studies are needed to validate the causal directions of the findings. Practical implications – The present findings show that active engagement had greater association with job satisfaction when leader involvement was high and performance orientation was low. For highly engaged employees, leaders are encouraged to show higher degree of involvement in their work but with less emphasis on the performance orientation of the organization. Originality/value – This study contributes to the broader literature in public sector leadership in two ways. First, research on the relationship between followership and job satisfaction has been sparse. Second, and most importantly, this study is the first empirical study that tests the moderating roles of situational (organizational) factors on the relationship between followership and employee attitude (job satisfaction).

Banking sector is growing rapidly and playing a vital role in the economic development of the nation. Both private and public sector banks are giving more priority to service quality to satisfy their customers. For this, banks are now emphasizing on E-CRM practices to carry out transactions and communicate with their customers. The purpose of this research is to assess the service quality among private and public banks in Rajasthan. Purposive sampling technique has been employed to collect the data from three private banks and three banks from public. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics, Mean score method and t test have been used. Results indicates that there is a significant difference in consumer’s perception of service quality dimensions related to E-CRM practices provided by selected private and public sector banks of Rajasthan..The findings of this research will help policy makers of banking sector to set customer oriented policies.

The positive psychological response to a stressor, by the occurrence of certain psychological conditions, is known as eustress. Many psychological studies suggest that the eustress can aid the person to stay motivated and achieve the goal without any psychological draining. In the present study, mediating effect of eustress on personal and organisational factors of public sector banks’ employees is investigated. Nearly 600 respondents from different banks in South India were selected randomly and the data are collected through the questionnaires. The collected data were used to analyse the formulated hypothesis. The research establishes that the relationship between individual and organisational factors and work-life balance is positive and gets enhanced and strengthened by eustress in the public banking sector.
