Cloud computing is an umbrella term used to describe a category of sophisticated on-demand computing services. Libraries generally have been adopting cloud-based solutions for different services such as electronic journal access management, integrated library system (ILS) hosting, electronic databases, digital library hosting, and cloud OPAC. This chapter discusses how cloud computing technology tools can be deployed to ensure uniformity in library services and standard of information resources available to students at all the study centers spread across the six geo-political zones. The chapter concludes that cloud computing offers many opportunities for academic libraries, and especially for the NOUN Library.

With the rapid development of Internet cloud computing technology, big data and visualization and other new technologies, the powerful data storage, calculation and analysis capabilities of new technologies provide favorable conditions for improving the timeliness, reliability and informatization level of foundation pit monitoring. By using SaaS mode and cloud computing technology, this paper subdivides the requirements of foundation pit monitoring work, and puts forward solutions according to design thinking and design means. The foundation pit monitoring information cloud platform is built in the way of Cloud Architecture, which greatly improves the efficiency of foundation pit monitoring, and realizes the high sharing of monitoring data information and platform resources.

The cloud computing technology has been widely discussed and defined in a number of ways. It’s the new and changing business models enabled by the emergence of the different technologies associated with cloud computing that really count. The effective integration of cloud computing idea and telecom operators' advantage on network and operation can bring large market effect. It has been a core focus in current telecom industry. Based on the analysis of cloud computing concept and technology development, this paper proposes the cloud computing application framework for telecom operator, and explain clearly the operator cloud computing development idea and trend with innovative idea, great ability and unified cloud platform. Finally, some typical cloud computing products are given, which may provide a significant reference for rational planning of operator cloud computing application.

Mobile Technologies (m-tech) have been embraced by stakeholders of academic libraries globally in recent times as a medium that can offer convenient library services to library patrons. This study was to ascertain the potentials of adopting and implementing m-tech based library services in academic libraries in Ghana. The study was a descriptive survey and the mixedmethod approach was used. The major findings were that there were a strong awareness and deep appreciation for the use of mtech library services among library management and students, however, m-tech based library services have not been implemented in the libraries due to diverse reasons. These include inadequate ICT infrastructure, skills gap as a result of lack of training, lack of policy framework for the adoption of the technology and clearing the hurdle of convincing university management to accept the technology. As a result, it was recommended that the libraries need to invest more in ICT infrastructure specifically m-tech infrastructure and build on their human resource base through recruitment and professional training on emerging technologies

Library and information science (LIS) has developed gradually over a period of time taking the opportunity of technology being spread widely. Library management system (LMS) is one of such earlier areas where ICT have been applied to the operations of the library. LSM will allow librarians to be keeping greater restriction over data stores and applications containing delicate, secretive, confidential, or revealing information about customers, products, clients. The emergence of cloud computing is creating a new area of research in relation to libraries. Cloud computing is being influenced by the developers of library systems to facilitate the possibility of moving away from ILS/LMS called library services platforms (LSP). This chapter studied and reviewed cloud computing, its uses, cloud computing in libraries and projects LSPS, market information products and services, digital platforms. Recommendations were made based on the outcomes of the study.
